She knew about me? I smiled and hugged her softly. "Yes." I said, happily. I then shook her dad's hand. She had his eyes
"It's a pleasure to meet you." My father said politely. "What are we having for dinner?" I asked. "Stew." My mother replied. "And Adira, you are welcome to stay for dinner." She added.
I smiled. "Sounds great, thank you." I said, and I glanced at Constance. Her parents were so kind, like her. I wish my parents were like this.
I took Adira's hand and led her up to my room. My laptop was still on Madeline's R.I.P page.
I gave her hand a soft squeeze when we went to her room. I glanced at her laptop, seeing a Facebook page in honor of Madeline. "That for her?" I asked softly, walking over to it.
I sighed and nodded. "Yeah.." I answered. Her R.I.P picture was of her and me, back when she was healthy. She was laughing, and I was kissing her cheek.
I looked at the picture of her. She looked alot like me honestly, same eyes, and long brown hair. "She looks very happy.." I said, and I looked back at Constance.
I nodded and closed my laptop, sighing softly. "She was." I answered, putting my laptop up.
When she put it up, I took her hand, and looked up into her eyes. "You know.. you are very strong.." I said softlt.
I looked into her eyes and smiled, squeezing her hand. "Thanks.. So are you."
I smiled, and I kissed the back of her hand. "Im honestly haopy I met you.." I said softly.
I blushed when her lips touched my skin, and I looked down shyly. "Im glad."
I felt my cheeks get red also. I slowly let her hand go. "So.." I said softly, I probably shouldn't come so strongly onto her
I felt a strange emptiness when she let go of my hand and I sighed. "So.." I answered. I sat on my bed and patted the spot next to me.
(So sorry, took way longer than expected.)
I smiled and sat beside her. "You sing?" I asked her, and I didnt like the look on her face when I let her hand go, so I slowly grabbed it again.
When she grabbed my hand again, my heart lifted, but I dropped it again. I can't... "Yes." I replied.
"What am I doing wrong." I said, off topic, but clearly talking about her letting my hand go. "Shit.. I mean.."
I looked up, a little surprised, and frowned. "You're not doing anything wrong.."
"I didnt mean to.. say that. Sorry... maybe I shouldn't stay.." I said softly, looking down at my hands, nervously trying to pop my fingers.
I sighed. "Calm down, it's okay." I looked down. "A lot of people say things they don't mean." I looked back up. "Are you thirsty?"
But... I meant what I had said.. in a way. I thought. And I looked up at her and nodded. "Water is fine." I said softly.
I nodded and went downstairs and got a water and a coke. I walked back upstairs and quietly handed her the water.
"Thank you." I said and I took the water, and I took a drink. "What was school like in Ireland?" I asked her.
I shrugged. "The schedules a lot different.. And the classes are too."
(Back sorry.)
"Really? Interesting. For a year I went to England as an exchange student my junior year. Its so odd." I said.
I smiled. "That's cool." I replied. I sipped my coke and I looked around. There was a picture on my bedside of me and Madeline. And another with her with the cancer, opening a birthday present.
I followed where her eyes were going. Maybe thats why she let my hand go, because she is not ready.. I instantly felt bad.. "What made you move here?"
I sighed and looked away. "I got depressed."
"Are you starting to feel better?.." I asked her, rubbing her back softly.
I shrugged. "Most of the time.. But sometimes something snaps in me and I just.." I stopped and took a deep, shaky breath.
