I sighed. "Go get one. You're stressed." I said, letting go of his hand.
"Nooo. I can't. " I said, grabbing her hand back. "I'll be finnne." I said, and I took a drink of water.
I sighed and kissed his cheek. "I love you Charnley. You're always here." I whispered.
Friend zone love. I looked at her and smiled slightly. "I love you too." I said softly. "Ill always be here too, alright? Even if youre throwing books at me." I said and I laughed softly.
I chuckled and looked up into his eyes. "Promise?" I asked.
I touched her cheek softly, and I tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. "Yes. I promise." I said, nodding.
I nodded and felt like I was getting lost in his eyes. "What are you thinking?" I whispered.
"How.. beautiful your eyes look right now.." I said softly, looking down. It was the truth, they were the perfect shade of ocean blue..
I smiled, and gently touched his knee. "Wanna know what I'm thinking?" I asked.
I looked up, curious.. "Y..Yeah?" I said, more in a question type way. "What are you thinking?" I asked her..
"How much I wanna kiss you right now." I whispered, my heart pounding...
I was really not expecting that... my heart began to race, and I couldn't just leave her hanging, I quickly leaned in, and pressed my lips sweetly to hers, pulling her closer to me in the process.
I smiled and wrapped my arms around him, kissing him back slowly, closing my eyes. Oh my god..
I pulled her into my lap, so she was straddling me. I kissed her deeply, the kiss bursting with love..
I felt like my heart could burst. I slowly pulled away and stared into his eyes.
I looked back at her, and I smiled slightly.. "How.. do you feel?" I asked her softly..
I smiled and stroked his hair gently. "Wonderful." I whispered.
I smiled once more, and I kissed her forehead. "Want to go swim?" I asked her, I loved swimming. And she knew it.
I shook my head. "No thank you. You go ahead." I said, kissing his cheek. My eyes were already red and puffy. I don't need the chlorine to make it worse. I got up and went upstairs, laying down and closing my sore eyes.
"Okay." I said, watching her. I got my swim shorts on and swam.for about an hour and a half. It calmed me, and got my mind off things. Once done, I dried off and took a showrr. Then I got dressed and I crawled in bed with her. I kissed her shoulder softly.
I opened my eyes and snuggled close to him, kissing his jaw gently. It was dark and silent in the room. But a comfortable silence.
I pulled her to me, and I closed my eyes, drifting off to sleep.. then I woke up in the middle of the night, my phone ringing. I quickly picked it up. It was my mom. "Hello?.." I asked quietly. "Honey please get home! Your dad is on the roof!"
I was still awake. I have severe insomnia. "What's wrong Charnley?" I asked, sitting up and looking at him, concerned.
"Okay ill be there hold tight." I hung up and grabbed my keys. "Ill explain on the way let's go, hurry." I said running down the stairs, and out the door. I waited untill she was in the car to take off. "My dad is on top of the roof, he wants to jump." I said
"Oh my god!" I remember my mom telling me that his parents always fought and his mom often left his dad, but would come back and that he was often depressed by it.
My dad wouldnt do this.. he cant! When we pulled up, he for sure was there on the roof. "Dad get down!" I yelled, tears filling my eyes. The look in his eyes wasbjust blacknes. Emptiness. I fell to my knees whe. He jumped, I quickly looked down, I began to sob to myself.. no!
(Should he die?)
(No, just injured very badly.)
I heard the thump of him hitting the ground and I grabbed my phone, calling 911. Soon the perimedics arrived and carried him out on the stretcher. "He's still breathing." A perimedic told us.
I slowly calmed myself a little when we were told that he qas breathing, one pulled me aside, and told me that he had broken ribs, and a broken neck. They told us to meet them at the hospital. I wiped my eyes, and handed her the keys . I couldn't drive like this.
