After a long while of chatting I watched as Astoria got up to use the bathroom. "Can I ask you a question?" I asked her dad, making sure she was gone
"Yes, of course." Astoria's father said, leaning back and watching Angus with a curious expression.
"I would like your permission.. To.. Have your daughters hand in marriage. I care about her so much. Beyond words ." I said
Astoria's father almost choked on his coffee. "Marriage?" He smiled at him kindly. "I always knew that you were going to end up together. Since you were both little. Is marriage really what you want? Are you sure you're ready?"
I smiled and nodded. "I know I'm ready Sir. We talked about it last night, not really the solid marriage thing, but she loved the idea of growing old together." I said. "I'm responsible, and I've had money set aside for a while. For both of us." I said
Her father looked at him thoughtfully for a moment, then he smiled. "I believe you. I give you my blessing."
I walked back into the living room and sat with Angus, resting my hand on his knee. "What did I miss?" I asked. "Nothing." My father answered with a smile. I looked up at Angus. "I kind of want to visit the Eifel Tower tonight. What do you think?" I asked.
I was very happy to get that answer, when she came back I pretended nothing happened. "I think it sounds amazing." I said, and kissed her forehead.
I grinned. "Okay." I answered. We hung out with my dad for a few hours, then we left and promised to go back the next day. As we walked down the street, I grabbed his hand and squeezed it.
We soon found a nice restaurant and we sat down, I let her do all the talking, since she knew French. I looked at the menu, and smiled over at her, she was gorgeous..
I glanced up and caught his eye. I smiled sweetly. "Why are you staring at me?" I asked, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear.
"Its hard not to. With the thing right here on your mouth?" I said, pointing to a place on my mouth, nothing was there, I was just messing with her
I frowned and wiped where he indicated, but nothing was there. "You ass." I said with a laugh.
I laughed, and I nudged her foot under the table. "Meanie." I said, sticking my tongue out at her. Soon we ordered.
(Goodnight! Getting off.)
We soon got our food and it was delicious. I stayed quiet, watching people thoughtfully.
((Goodnight))
The whole evening I was just in thought, and nervous about things. What if she didn't want to get married?
"Are you okay babe?" I asked, taking his hand and lacing our fingers together as we walked through town.
I snapped out of it and looked over at her, smiling. "I couldn't be better." I said, grinning and kissing her hand softly.
I smiled and squeezed his hand. "Okay, good." I answered. We shopped a little, had ice cream, and just had a grand time.
Once back at the hotel I flopped onto the bed, sighing. "Wow.. This is great, France... This whole trip ."
I smiled and nodded, fixing a glass of champagne and sitting on the edge of the bed, sipping my drink. "I agree." I answered.
I glanced at her. "And you give me shit for drinking?" I said, raising an eyebrow.
"Drinking to get drunk." I pointed out. "But having a glass every once in a while wont hurt anyone." I said, taking a sip. "Plus, it's champagne. You're supposed to be drinking it with me."
"No I don't.." I mumbled softly, but moved on rather quickly, and got a glass for me too.
"What's wrong?" I asked with a sigh, setting the glass down and looking over at him.
"Babe, nothing is wrong, alright?" I said softly, and took a drink of the champagne. Quite a bit was on my mind, my dad, marriage.. Proposal, and just stress.
"Um.. Okay.." I answered. I finished my glass, then I went to go take a shower.
When she was doing that, I rushed to the other bathroom, puking my guts out. This is the third stage of the extreme withdrawal I was having without the heroin...
When I got out, I could smell throw up. I went into the bathroom and immediately fixed him a glass of water. "Baby.. What's wrong?" I asked. He's still withdrawing?
"I think its the last stage of withdrawal.." I said, takingthe glass and taking a few drinks, and brushing my teeth a few times.
I gently ran my fingers through his hair before giving him naseuos medicine. "I'm sorry baby.."
