"Right." I said. This trail or park was full of weird drugged up people, it was just a fishy area.. Once parked we both got out and found her trailor.
"I don't see anything... Let's go talk to some neighbors,"I said as I crossed the street. No one wanted to talk to anyone in a uniform with a badge, and even the cooperative ones said they never saw a van of any of the girls in the area.
I sighed once we got into the car, and I rubbed my temples softly. "Next address, only a few blocks away." I said. "Wright street." I said
"That's a big suburban area, big houses, high class people,"I sighed and as we drove down, it was like we were in a new world of big grass lawns and Mercedes cars.
Only after a short distance, it made a complete switch. "What a change." I commented. "That one." I said pointing to the house to the right of us. "Monica Pearson."
"Okay, let's go talk to the neighbors,"I said, climbing out of the car. It was a really, really nce area. Someone would know something.
We rarley for called to areas like this so this was fairly new to me. When she knocked on the door I was behind her smiling when the gentleman opened the door. Looking a little surprised.
I asked a couple of questions and he nodded,"Yeah, Monica has a big truck like that, she has a phenomenal catering Buisness. It's too bad that it was stolen. I haven't seen it around since, are you looking for it?"I smiled and nodded,"Yes, we are trying to help her recover it. Is there any way someone could have gotten into her home? Gotten the keys or something?" He shook his head,"We all have storm cellars in the basement but those are locked and she always locks up when she leaves..." Well, thank you, sir."
Ding Ding! I think we have a hit. Once we walked away and got in the car I breathed a sigh of relief. "That storm cellar, we have to keep an eye on it."
"We will get someone to watch the house,"I said with a nod as I drove back towards the station,"Until we see the van we can't do anything."
I just nodded, and once at the station we went and did our own things for a whole, handeling little things there and there. When the shift was almost over in swang by her office. "Still on for dinner, right?"
"Dinner?"I asked, turning to look up at her. I ran my fingers through my hair and rubbed my lips together.
"Yeah, at the bar yesterday I invited you for it tonigjt, unless your busy, or just don't want to." I said. It would just be at my place, I just wanted to get to know her on more of a personal level, I was really beginning to like her.
"Oh! Right, okay, yeah,"I said with a nod,"Sorry, I just kind of spaced it.. When do you want togo?"
"Its fine,." I said. "And I was thinking you could come to my place around seven and I could make spaghetti or something." I said, smiling.
"Okay, just give me your address and I'll be there,"I said with a nod, smiling.
I smiled and wrote my address on a sticky note on her desk, "Here." I said, smiling. "And you don't have to dress fancy or anything. Its just my apartment." I said, and nodded to her before walking out.
I buckled softly and shook my head. Why would I dress fancy? She was so odd sometimes. I went home and showered, pulling on a red t-shirt and some jeans, sliding on a black sweater. I ran to the liquor store and grabbed a bottle of wine, knocking on her door.
I was in my Def Leopard tee shirt and some black shorts. And a pair of black toms, my hair was not in its usual bun, it draped down my shoulders in nice soft waves. When I heard the knock I quickly stood, dinner was almost ready.
I opened the door and smiled. "Hey. Come in." I said, stepping aside.
"I brought wine,"I said with a smile, setting it on the counter. Her place was cute and it smelled really good, too!
"Oh my." I said, picking the wine up, and looking at the label. "This is my favorite type." I said, grinning at her. "Here, take a seat." I said, motioning to the bar that was connected to the kitchen counter on the other side, I set the wine down and started to stir the scause. "Its almost ready." I said
"Great,"I said with a smile, sitting back and looking around,"You have a cute place!"
I grinned and poured us some wine. "Why, thank you." I said, and I walked over to her and set the glass in front of her on the bar. "Want a lot of spaghetti or a little?" I asked, while draining the noodles
"Get me a lot, I'm starving,"I said with a chuckle, sipping from my glass as I stood up.
"Alrighty, good choice. If you would have said a little, I would have shook you." I said with a laugh, and I fixed her a plate and me as well, and I set them at the made table near the kitchen
I walked over and sat down, smiling at her,"It looks delicious. Do you make the sauce yourself?"
"Thank you, and yes I do, I said, sitting and going right to it, and getting some Noddles on my fork. "All home made." I said, taking a bite. It was really good ..
I smiled and nodded, beginning to eat. It was really good, I was impressed. I sat back and took a sip from my wine,"So, how long have you stayed here?"
(Can we just stick to this RP?)
(Yeah, of course!)
"Two years. Going on three in a few months." I said, smiling. "You?" I asked her and took a drink of the wine also. She looked pretty this evening.. She always looked pretty.
"Like I said, I grew up here,"I said with a chuckle, smiling at her.
"Right.. I meant how long you've been in your place, should have been more specific, my bad." I said, smiling. I looked over at all the boxes that were near the couch. "Ignore them." I said, looking at them.
I chuckled,"I though you had been here for three years,"I said with a smirk, raising an eyebrow.
"I rounded up when I said that." I said chuckling. "Where do you live? Near the station?" I asked her, finishing my wine. I better stop at one glass.
"Yeah, I stay in a small apartment above the bar, but I spend so much time at the station that it isn't really a home. I shower there, keep my clothes there.. But my Uncle doesn't make me pay rent,"I said with a shrug.
I nodded. "That's a good deal." I said, finishing up my food. "Want a coffee?.. More wine?" I asked as I stood and put my plate in the sink. She was really cool once you got to know her.
"Wine,"I said with a smirk,"I get enough coffee at work,"I said as I poured myself another glass of wine. I rose and set my own plate into the sink.
I leaned against the counter and smiled at her as she poured herself wine, my coffee brewing in the kureg. I heard a knock on the door and I groaned, rubbing my forehead. "Ignore it." I said
"Who is it?"I asked, looking towards the door, curious. How did she know who was there? And why was she letting it go?
"Its my ex. And hes drunk. You can tell how he is knocking." I said. "He will go away. He's here for his stuff and he's unbelievable when he's drunk." I said, with a sigh.
"Why don't you give him his shit?"I asked, raising an eyebrow.
