He handed a plate to Miguel and started eating a plate of his own.
Miguel took the plate and started eating. "Anyway, how are you?" He looked at Ella "Are you better? Yesterday you looked like you were in trouble." He asked, a bit worried.
His gaze flicked over to Ella quickly, and felt a small annoyance and a tinge of fear. Something else was there, but he didn't press to hard. Fallen looked over to Miguel and shrugged, trying to appease both parties. He didn't want Miguel to think he was picking favorites, but he also didn't want to seem unfair to Ella. "She's better. That's what counts, eh?"
He looked to her as she walked away. "Sorry. I'll go check on her." Fallen walked to her room and knocked lightly on the door. "Ella? It's me. Hope. You okay? Can I come in?"
He walked in and sat down next to her. "Everything all right? You kinda just snapped. I'm not judging you or anything, I just wanna know, if you'll let me know."
Miguel watched as Ella went to her room and shut the door. "Don't worry about me, looks like she needs you. Go. I'll wait here." He watched as Fallen entered Ella's room and stood there in the kitchen finishing his breakfast.
He walked over to her and gave her a hug. "I can understand that. But what I don't understand, is why you don't treat me like that?" Fallen asked as curiosity took the better of him. "I mean, I'm glad you don't, but why don't you?"
He gave her a peck on the cheek. "I think you do, but don't want to admit it. I won't push the subject." He slowly got up and looked over to her. "No one will judge you here. Don't be afraid to talk to me if you feel like snapping again. I'll listen to every word you say."
Miguel finished his breakfast, he left the plate on the kitchen, left his sword leaned against a wall and sat on the couch. He was exhausted after spending all night walking around the city. He closed his eyes and almost fell asleep.
"Don't worry about rambling. I enjoy the sound of your voice." he told her gently before leaving the room.
Jasper watched his surroundings in silence ... so many mortals and humans chattering and mumbling, yet not one of them considered him to be a creature other than themselves. The thoughts of thousands flooded through his mind as he listened for a scrap of required information; he needed to make sure this town was free of the demons that threatened it. His gaze flickered down to his plain black shirt and navy jeans, and then stopped as they caught sight of his canvas sneakers. His mind had found a demon ...
After an angel of great power entered Fallen's house, Mikael decided to leave the place, just in case. He returned to the Mall. It was his favourite place in the city, there was easy to look for human preys to play with. Now he was looking at a girl, pink t-shirt, jeans, sneakers, probably 20 years old, blonde. She was walking around looking at the shops. He decided to talk to her to find out where she lived and pay her a visit later. He approached the girl with a smiled on his face and started talking and flirting with her. He was all charm and smiles and the girl blushed, she was falling for him.
He walked into the living room and sat down. He yawned and stretched his wings out.
Miguel opened his eyes and looked at Fallen. "Is she ok? I hope I didn't make her feel bad."
Arianna smirked faintly as the man kissed her neck - little did he know of the fate that would become of his actions. "Kiss me harder", she whispered, and he did so without a mere moment of hesitation, his lips moving to hers. Arianna's eyes began to glow an intense blue, but the man barely became even close to noticing this. The man kissing her suddenly stopped, a low grunt escaping him as his now trembling lips moved away from Arianna's. He clutched his chest with both hands, but Arianna kept her lips on his as she inhaled his energy, forcing his mouth open with a strong hand, draining him of his life until he was nothing but a corpse. Her gaze flickered around her at the empty alleyway, before she then moved into the darkness of the shadows.
"Yeah, she should be fine. Don't worry." He said.
"Oh I do I do!" He said with fake enthusiasm as he strolled back to her room. Fallen did a small bow, took her hand and kissed the back of it. "Fallen Hope Clearwater at your service, milady"
He nodded and after a few seconds, her drawer was set up in place. As he went back to the suitcase, he remembered that she put a bunch of clothes in there. "Um... Are you sure you want me to help with unpacking your clothes? Last night you said that you didnt care if I saw anything, but that was mostly because you were tired and you wanted to get outta that place. Do the same rules apply or do you want me to wait while you handle your underwear?"
Miguel decided to leave the youngsters alone, after all Ella didn't trust him enough and he didn't wanted to disturb her. He took his sword and went to the backyard. He sat there in the grass and unfolded his wings to enjoy the caress of the breeze and the warm of the Sun on his feathers. He smiled.
He slightly flinched at her tone, not used to her speaking that way to him. "No, I'll help. I just wanted to make sure." Hope said as he helped her pick up her clothes.
"It's more how you said it... But don't worry, if I can live through a pole being rammed through my heart, I'm sure that I can live through being snapped at by the only girl I...." He trailed off. "Um... Nevermind. Forget I said anything..."
He paused. 'Shit...' "Um... well... I... kinda... sorta..." He blushed and looked away.
'That I'm kinda, sorta, completely, deeply, totally in love with you.' "I... don't have the courage to say it... I'm sorry." He said as he hung his head.
"I'm scared of what you might say.... I'm actually, utterly terrified that you won't treat me the same/how I want if you find out."
He looked her straight in the eyes for a few seconds. "Ella... You are the only girl I've ever cared about this much.... more so than a sister, or a best friend... I love you. I never want to leave your side. I want to protect you and make sure you are happy." Hope said gently, never looking away.
"Ella. I've been dead for a long time. My heart has never been this way before, alive or dead. I've never been so sure of anything before in my life..." He said quietly.
He blushed lightly. "Y-you do?" He rubbed the back of his head.
"Well it's just that... No one has ever liked me before... ever. I'm real flattered that you like me though. I think you are the one person that does on this planet that does."
He smiled lightly. "That's true." Hope said just as softly, as if anything louder would ruin the moment they were in.
Fallen awkwardly stood to the side, thinking of what to do next. 'Well... somethings in life you just do. There is no can or can't' He shakily walked over to her, steeled himself, leaned forward, gave her a small kiss on the cheek, and looked away, trying to cover up a rising blush on his cheeks.
His eyes widened lightly. "So this is... what being hugged feels like..." Fallen whispered, before hugging her back.
He gave a small smle and a laugh at her statement. "Yeah, well, contrary to popular belief, I can feel just fine"
after a pause, he looked at her. "I hoestly don't knw what to do now..."
"Me either." Hope playfully bowed and kissed the back of her hand
Very, very carefully he closed his eyes and placed a soft, gentle kiss on her lips.
He carefully wrapped his arms around her and pulled her close to him, never breaking the kiss.
After a few more seconds, he pulled away to take a breath. He gazed at her with love-filled eyes. "That was.... wow..."
He smiled and held her close, trying to make her as comfortable as possible. Hope gave small squeeze with his arms still around her.
"Yeah." He said, reluctantly letting go of her and started to move her stuff to where she wanted it.
Soon he was finished with her things and smiled at his work around the new room, "I think I did okay for my first time decorating."
