The Coming Darkness

Silver sighed and decided it was time to get out as well, though she didn't want to. She stood up and walked over to the towels, picking one up for herself and wrapping it around her body. Her hair had gotten a little wet, so she gathered it up and brought it all to one side, patting the wet part with her towel. She picked up her clothes and looked back to everyone, wondering where she could go now. Noticing the bathroom not to far away was open, she casually slipped away and went in there for a little privacy.

He growled in embarrassment at JD's helpful tip and Eos' flirtations. He was a ball of embarrassment and he hates being defeated like this. No time but now to take his leave and sit outside again... "God fucking dammit..." He said scornfully under his breath. When he made his way outside, the breeze was pleasant so he sat on another tree root trying to calm himself down. He hoped no one saw him in his fluster.

Rolling onto her side, her gaze fell across the room. Parchment banded in leather was set on the dresser. Sitting up, she walked slowly across the wood floors and took hold of it. Unlatching it, the book was empty - page after page blank. Something about the item entranced her, it's old withered pages and stiff outer shell calling for her. "I wonder if anyone will miss this..." A pen was beside it as well, unable to control herself - she began to scribe her thoughts out in the book, deeming it her new found diary.

Only spending a short while scribbling in it's pages, Eos closed it and proceeded to search through the dresser. Happily, she found something to wear - and it was just the right size. Maybe their was magic in this place as well?

Getting into the outfit, she soon realized it went right along with the other villagers clothes. It must have been clothing from their time period, because it certainly wasn't modern. "This looks like a barmaids uniform..." With a laugh she shrugged and opened the door once again. It was getting late, and she wanted to go looking around with JD - but not until everyone had gone to sleep. So Eos took it upon herself to snoop around and check to see if everyone was going back to their rooms.

He yawned and layed back on the giant root looking up at the sky. He was beginning to get a little tired and the fatigue of the virus was getting to him. What Eos said kept replaying itself over and over. Though, she was right. "You need to unwind" repeated itself over and over. All he ever did was think about his problems he needed to face and it made him internally angry, a lot. It obviously wasn't healthy or good for image. 'Fine, Eos...I'll take your advice..." He thought to himself. His eyes felt heavy but he couldn't fall asleep. His mind was buzzing too much. "Things seemed to have died down...I guess I could go in and relax." He got up and went back inside the Inn, releasing he second guessed himself again. His terrible habit. 'But...where would I sleep?'

Hopping down the stairs at quite a quick pace, she came around the corner and felt a thud against her chest. "Oh!" Looking Volitaire in the eyes, she giggled. "Apologies!" She took a step back but didn't move too far away from him, "Are you off to bed?" He seemed drained, and his aura was dull for the first time since she had met him.

He was such an attractive boy, with his tanned skin and alluring physique. Not to mention he kept himself well dressed. She even loved his messy hair, but wished it didn't hide his face so much.

A little staggered though a bit more woken up, he saw Eos staring right into his eyes and his body froze again. "Umm..yeah..I think I used too much back at that little brawl back at the 'fake' Prom. I am looking for a place to sleep, but I'm also wondering if the springs are still open. The fumes and quiet enough would relax me." Giving her a warm but forced smile, he didn't want to try and quiver.

Silver stared at herself in the mirror, still holding her towel up. She figured she had dried off enough so changed back into her clothes, ripping the dress a bit so it was much shorter and less formal looking. Such a fancy dress would do her no good if she were to get into trouble. She shrugged, as she had no other clothes with her and she couldn't see anyone sharing with her anytime soon. She let her hair fall back down on the sides and sighed. "Where am I going to go now?.." She still wanted to talk to Voltaire to see if he knew anything, so she figured she should try to find him. She left the bathroom and walked out to see Eos and Voltaire having a chat not too far away. Standing there, she crossed her arms and leaned against the wall, waiting for them to finish.

Pondering how to answer, Eos tapped at her chin. She wished everyone would just go off to sleep, but she didn't want to seem suspicious, rushing everyone into their rooms and all. "I think they're still open, and you'll be happy to know you can enjoy them alone." She giggled a little, knowing he'd prefer it that way.

"Oh, Silver!" She looked up toward the second floor. "I think there was some kind of mix up while everyone was in the hot springs. I just saw my brother settle into your room." Sure, she could have knocked on the door and let her brother know Silver had already laid claim there, but this would be a little more interesting. "You can kick him out, but I assure you... he doesn't snore." Giggling, she walked out waving for Volitiare. "If you'd like someone to talk to I don't mind sitting with my back facing the water."

He thought about it, he felt like he constantly put her off. He didn't mind if she came, but was a little afraid of his own reactions to being alone with a female. "No, I don't mind at all.." He thought he'd tell her before she left. He hadn't noticed Silver standing there, he sort of wondered what she was doing lingering around...and JD was in her room? He held back all will to laugh at the possibilities, but with that he took for the springs, hands in pockets.

Silver looked at Eos for a moment. JD was in her room?.. Hmm..
Before she could say anything, they both left. Voltaire was walking away and she needed to talk to him, but at the same time she wanted to see if JD was really in her room.
"Oi, Voltaire," she spoke out as she walked over to him, deciding that this was a bit more important. "I need to talk to you." When she caught up to him, she looked to the door. "..In private, if that's alright."

He raised a eyebrow and wondered what Silver wanted. "In private? I guess it's important." He parted his hair and gave her a curious look. "Sure, what is it?"

"Who was that man who was looking for you a while ago? The one I ran into, the one who seemed to be very powerful? The one in the blue robes? And why do you know him?" She decided it would be best to just get to the point. The look on her face was stern, and anyone could tell that she was quite tense just speaking of him.

He squinted his eyes shut with a bit of frustration. "Great...why is she asking me this!?" He made a long sigh before answering. There was no hiding it now... "Montesque Viravichi. The man I first assumed murdered my family, but I was wrong. Now he comes to me because he's waiting for me to be ready to confront the man who really started the massacre, he feels guilty for it, shockingly. But why do you want to know?"

Silver's body became less tense as she realized what that meant. "...Do you know who did kill your family?.." She hoped it wasn't the same man who was supposedly her grandfather.. What was his name again? Ven...
"It wasn't someone named Venciersio, was it?.." Saying his name made her face a little pale. Thinking about the possible situations he put people in made her angry. Especially if what the one called Montesque said was right.

She growled at JD's comment; the guy was too obnoxious for his own good. Sasha slipped back into the inn, still in a towel, and crept up the stairs, as so not to attract any attention. Sasha then realized that she forgot the room she was in. " Hm....."

Noticing an open door, Sasha slipped in, looking around. She was surprised to see Enzo there, and immediately attempted to cover as much as possible up with the towel she was wrapped in, " I-it's not what you think, idiot!"

"Now may I go check out my room, Kenji?" Maya said after everyone else had already left. She had a towel tucked under her arm, ready to get out. The spring had been very relaxing, but she had never been in such a situation. Her and Kenji were the only ones left, and they both lacked clothing. Even with her heightened senses, she could barely hear conversations going on inside. She sighed.

Nodding in agreement, Eos decided it was best to give them their privacy. A tinge of jealousy warmed her veins - but she thought it was best to ignore it. Although Silver was appealing, perhaps more appealing than herself.

A smile came to her otherwise mopey face when she saw Maya and Kenji off on the other side of the spring. Looking away she thought to herself, Kenji really is too much, but Maya can handle it.

"I'm guessing you spoke to Montesque, did you? I should've figured...you did spy on us...but yes. It was him, but why are you asking, Silver?" His glare became more suspicious, he was thinking of many reasons why she's wondering about all of this. A lot of them bad more than good, she didn't look like someone who cared about another persons endeavors openly so it completely destroyed a lot of the good reasons. Or if she knew what exactly happened some other way...

Silvers face grew a bit more pale. She gulped, realizing that's probably all Voltaire would know.
"..No reason."
With that, she turned to leave. Thinking about the fact that she might be related to such a horrible person made her sick. She needed to step out for a moment and take a breath, and wished she had never talked to Montesque at all.

Puzzled, he walked towards the springs and took his tuxedo jacket off and mounted it over his shoulder. Once arriving he found a place to hang it up and saw Eos sitting by herself, but she looked a little upset which bothered him. He swallowed some fear and walked over to her and sat down. "You okay?" He was frowning a little. Seeing her all by herself staring into some water itself looked upsetting. He hoped he did nothing to upset her...then he remembered Silver asking for privacy. He nearly wanted to facepalm himself but refrained.

Enzo searched through the bookshelf, looking for something interesting, some clues, perhaps. It was then that he heard his room door open. He turned around to see Sasha. "G-gaah!" He fumbled back, nearly letting go of his own towel. "D-d-do you even knock?!" Enzo realized that as soon as he saw her, he blushed. Man, what is it with this place?! He backed up, a little too far, and knocked over the news clipping, it fell to the floor. The only visible thing on it was LOCAL NEWS.


"Sure, i'm not keeping you." He said. At the thought of being alone, Kenji sighed of relief. I haven't really tended to my own business in a while, huh? He thought, looking up at the sky. His own wishes were thwarted when he heard Volitaire and Eos. Alright then.

"Hmm..?" Looking over her shoulder, she saw Volitaire take a seat on the ground beside her. "Oh. No, everything is cool." She did her best to push out a smile, realizing that it wasn't quite her most award winning attempt at acting.

"It's weird... isn't it?" She paused and looked up to the strange sky that The Gaze had to offer. "How people end up so easily wrapped in one another?" It was true, Eos was codependent, but so were many others. Even those who tried to push those feelings away, in the end - everyone needs someone.

"Damn, I was really hoping you wanted to keep me." She commented quietly. Maya calmly got up, wrapped the towel around herself, and walked leisurely inside. "I'll be in my room, then." She joked. Once inside, her face reddened again from all of the concentration her actions had taken. She let her nervous side show now, knowing she was out of sight of everyone. The familiar sound of nervous conversations taking place was now easy to hear, and it made her feel okay and took away some embarassment.

Silver sighed and stood outside for a few minutes in the dark before remembering what Eos told her about JD. She took a deep breathe before going back in and wandering up to "her" room.
She knocked on the door lightly to see if anyone was there, hoping it was empty.

She rolled her eyes, " Door was open already, idiot, s'not like I wanted to see anything!" Sasha flushed a little as she said this, then smirked, " What, that surprised at seeing a girl like this? How sad..." Sasha turned around, looking over her shoulder, " Anyways, I'll go now, and leave you to your privacy..."

"Hmm...you're right. It's not easy being without someone. I guess we can both relate, huh?" He turned to her with a agreeing grin. "But we can never control who we like and don't like. That's the work of the heart, not the mind. If it was completely up to us, there would be a lot more independent souls wandering about. The world would be a isolate place, albeit the population size. There's nothing really weird about it. It's natural, like how you love your brother, and how I once loved mine as well. If I had a choice- or we had the work of the mind choose for us we could very much hate our brothers for no reason what so ever. And you could hate me also." He slightly chuckled. "But it's never weird, to give moer detail to what I'm trying to say...everyone got wrapped up in each other in some way. I think it's good...we all used to be so distant from each other. I only used to have Enzo as a friend...and now I have you, JD, Silver, Maya, Kenji, it's a nice feeling having more to appreciate. I haven't felt this way in a long time." His hair hid his eyes, but he kept a genially happy smile.

Enzo winced a little at her words, but, he was used to it. As she turned around to leave, he felt the need to ask. It was bugging him this entire time, and he had to know, once and for all. "Wait!" Those words flew out of his mouth, unexpectedly. His heart was racing, and he could feel his form coming back. "I need to ask you something.."


"Thanks for letting me know where you will be." Kenji said. Honestly, since when did Kenji become so familiar with them? That wasn't his job.

She turned, red eye meeting his, " Hah? What is it?" Sasha stopped walking, a little curious as to what the guy wanted to ask. She really didn't know what to expect with him; one minute he was shy and clumsy, the next, serious and a bit sarcastic. Sasha quirked a brow, waiting.

Her eyes widened at his insight, hanging onto every word he spoke. It wasn't the answer she expected, she assumed the only answer would be something she didn't want to hear. But no, his response was not just insightful, but lighthearted.

Eos knew not of the pain he had to bear, or vice versa but in that moment she felt they both had come to some understanding. She agreed with him completely, Eos really did appreciate those whom she had met at Sorcerers. Even though they were in a place she didn't understand, suffering circumstances she couldn't comprehend - she could take away the fact that she had begun to weave a web of relationships. Close bonds being something she had only ever shared with her brother before.

She let her body lean forward, slipping her arms around his sides until she pressed her body into his. "Voli..." The nickname slipped from her lips without warning, it simply came to her.

It was nearly out the window now, Enzo couldn't turn back, and he was honestly afraid of the reaction, given Sasha's characteristics. But he found the courage to finally ask:
