I dozed off after a few minutes in Jay's arms. It's so peaceful, so calming, to have him here with me.
I woke up, about three hours later, still tired. I picked her up bridal style and I walked back to the bedroom with her, I took my shirt off and laid beside her, pulling the covers over us, because it wouldget a little cold in the house due to no power .
I woke up the next morning and yawned, blinking a few times. Jay was still asleep but I was so comfortable that I didn't want to move.
It still felt pretty cold when I opened my eyes, and looked at Annabelle. "Power still out?" I asked softly. They better fix it soon.
I nodded. "Yeah.." I answered softly, looking up at him. "How do you feel?"
"Honestly.. crappy."I said softly. "I feel weak." I said, closing my eyes again.
I frowned and sat up, resting my hand on his forehead. "You're a little warm." I said softly. I sighed. "We shouldn't have played in the snow yesterday.. I didn't realize.. I'm so stupid."
"Hey.. no.. it wasnt your fault. Its okay." I said softly, and I kissed her cheek gently.
I sighed and looked down at him. "You need to rest today, okay?" I kissed his forehead. "Just sweat out the fever. I'll make you some herbal tea. It helps."
Weeks turned to months, four months.. by now ive lost 25 pounds, and its clearly showing. Im going through some of my last chemo therapy, and I felt crappy still. But tonight, we had our very first gig as a band, finally got all of our songs together. I would sing the last song, the same one I sang to Annabelle when I asked her to marry me. Now, I was laying down on the couch watching the Seahawks game.
It was the night of that festival thing or whatever, and I was so nervous, but excited. My brother and some of his friends were gonna come watch. My mom had a performance somewhere else, and my dad had to work. I sat at my vanity in the bedroom, getting my hair and makeup done. My heart was pounding, and I tried to steady my hand as I put on my eyeliner.

I started to get ready, I put on black jeans, red vans, a black button down shirt and a red tie. Green day style. I slipped on a black beanie and I tuned my guitar, had to stay focused and driven. I had chemo yesterday, lets see how this goes, and me singing.
I kissed his cheek when I saw him downstairs. "If it gets too much, just say something. Don't push yourself so hard okay?"
I looked up at her and nodded. "Wow.. you look so.. beautiful.. " I said, standing and kissing her. "Should we get going now? Get all set up."
I smiled and nodded. "Thanks." I took his hand and led him outside. I had some small things packed in my car, and George had a large van, so he has most of the equipment. I drove us to the place where the festival was held at, and no one was there, of course. We were there 3 hours early. To set up, to go over the song order, and to rehearse and work with lights and sound.
After we had gone over all the songs and rehearsed, things looked great, bu that time people were slowly starting to show up. I was ready to blow them away with our music. Rhe guitar solos I put in would definitely get their attention. I looked around at everyone and nodded at them to see when they were ready , I then started the beginning chords, watching as people stopped and watched with curios eyes.
I felt like I could faint right there. I started to sing the first song. It was a little nervous and shaky at first, but after I got used to it,my singing became stronger and I actually started to enjoy it a lot.
The next few songs were amazing, and the crowd loved it! It was a great atmosphere, and I was very happy. After a while it came to my song, then we were done. The crowd wanted another song. "Sweet child of mine?" I asked the band
We all nodded and we launched into the song. After it was over, I was sweating and panting, but so happy. I got off of the stage to get water.
We all walked off stage, the crowd going crazy, I felt dizzy and very sick, I ran into the bathrooms and puked, and after I felt a little better. I put a handful of mints in my mouth and walked out, being greeted by peoole whp wanted pictures, sk I gladly posed with several people
I took a few pictures with people, mostly teenage boys. It was adorable though. My brother ran up and picked me up, spinning me around. "That was awesome!"
I searched and searched for Annabelle. And when I found her I smiled, and hugged her after her brother. "You did great " I said.
"So did you." I whispered, burying my face in his neck. I kissed his jaw. "How are you feeling?" I asked.
"I feel okay." I said softly. My head hurt, along with my stomach , I didnt want to kill the happy vibe by saying something.
I pecked his lips softly. "Okay." I grabbed his hand as we made our way through the crowd. George suddenly ran to us excitedly. "A manager from Aron Records liked us! He wants to talk about a possible record deal!"
My eyes widened. That company has made a lot of bands big today. "Really? Let's do it!" I said, very excited
"With caution though." I warned. "Management can fuck up people really bad." I said. My brother brought me a snow cone and I thanked him.
"This record company got Green Day big, along with The All American Rejects, they have done great." I said, shrugging. "We have to try."
"I didn't mean career wise.. Social wise." I answered, kissing his cheek. "But yeah, we can try." I said with a smile.
I shrugged, and nodded. "Its worth a shot, tell him we are in." I nodded to him, smiling.
