The Knight.

I walked into the bedroom and slapped my hand over my mouth to keep from laughing. So adorable!! I gently picked up Autumn and took her to her nursery which was right next to our bedroom. I turned the baby monitor on and I went to join Jay in bed.

I opened my eyes when she walked back into the room. I smiled as she laid beside me, I pulled her close to me and I kissed her forehead. "Night." I said, before closing my eyes.

"Goodnight." I whispered, closing my eyes and falling into a blissful deep sleep.

I woke up in the middle of the night, two to be exact, and I heard fussing, and I got up, and I headed to little Autumns toom and I picked her up, and made her a bottle. "Shh.." I said softly, rubbing her back. I sat down in the chair, and held the bottle to her lips , smiling as she eagerly drank.

I woke up only for a few seconds, but fell asleep once it got quiet again. I carried her for eight months... I deserve sleep.

Once she was asleep, I set her back in her crib and I headed back to bed, plopping face down in the bed like a dead man, and fell back asleep..

The next morning, I woke up and attended to Autumn. I fed her and changed her diaper, then I sat in the rocking chair and rocked her, looking out the window,

I woke up, and I sat up, rubbing my eyes, seeing the bed was empty. I stood and headed to the nursery. "Hey." I said softly, leaning in the doorwayn

"Hello." I answered softly, looking up at him and smiling. "She's so well behaved. What time do we have to be at the studio?" I asked.

"She is. And.. three hours." I said, taking a moment to stretch. I walked over and kissed Annabelle sweetly, then little Autumn.

I smiled and put her back on her crib. I turned and wrapped my arms around Jay's neck, kissing him gently.

I kissed her back slowly, my hands pulling her body to mine. I pulled away from the kiss and then I placed a soft kiss onto her nose, grinning.

I scrunched up my nose cutely and smiled at him. "You know.. If our album becomes successful and we get asked to go on tour, we might not be able to take her with us.."

I sighed at what she said, and nodded. "You're right.. but.. it would only be a two month tour, and we would have your mom and Nova watching her." I said. But it broke my heart, just thinking about leaving my little girl for two months

I nodded and hugged him tightly, burying my face in his neck. "Don't look so sad..." I whispered.

"Sorry." I said softly, hugging her to me. "Ill go make some coffee." I sair, before kissing her head, and heading down the stairs and into the kitchen. I began to make coffee, and I leaned against the counter, waiting for it to brew.

I watched Autumn for a while. I put a binkie in her mouth when she began to cry, and then she was quiet once more. I went to the living room and sat on the couch, sighing.

I handed her some coffe, and I took a drink of mine, sighing, but then smiling when I heard Autumn startto fuss. I went and got her, and I rocked her In my arms gently as I ealked down the stairs. "Its okay, Little ass kicker." I said softly, and I sat beside Annabelle, and sighed happily as she calmed down, and rested her little head against my chest.

I smiled and looked at them as I sipped my coffee. "She adores you. She is gonna be a daddy's girl." I said with an admiring smile.

I chuckled, and shrugged. "She loves her mommy too." Isaid. "But, I think she will say Dada first." I challenged her, raising an eyebrow.

"No way!" I said, sticking my tongue out at him. "So, when are your parents coming down?"

"I.. dont know. My mom said this next month. I hope. She said that she has to tell me something important. I dont know what yet." I said softly.

"Oh." I answered, looking up at him. "Do you think it'll be good or bad?" I asked.

"Well. It didnt sound amazing. She said its about the family. Whatever that means. She will tell me when she is here." I said, with a shrug.

I nodded. "Okay." I said. I rested my head on his shoulder and closed my eyes.

I smiled, seeing I had my girls with me. I was a very happy man. When little Delilah was asleep I stood and put her in the little baby rocker beside the tv, and I watched as she fussed, and I kissed her head and gave her the binky. I walked back over to Annabelle, and I laid down, pulling her close to me, so she was on top of me. "You still sore at all?"

I looked down at him and smiled. "Not really." I answered, leaning down to kiss his forehead.

"Thats good." I said. A month or so passed, and little Autumn began to open her eyes, just slightly. I heard a knock at my door , excited to see my parents. When I opened the door I greeted them with a hug

I greeted them as well, and then they were so happy to see their grandchild. Our album went so well. We were to go on a six month tour soon. They extended it.

I was telling my mother, that the album went so well that we would be gone for six months scary.. my mother rook my hand and looked into my eyes. "Dear. We have to tell you something.." she said, and she handed me a picture. It was a woman, holding a baby. "Whats this?" I asked. "Jay. This is your mother. Real mother.. and you." She said. I was... adopted?!....

I bit my lip as I watched, frowning slightly. I cradled Autumn in my arms, cooing softly to her. How is Jay going to take this?..

I just stared at the picture of my real mother, and I shook my head. Why was I never told before? I felt hurt, and I slowly just handedbher the picture back, and calmly walkedbaway, and out the door, and I sat on the steps outside.

It was silent for a moment, then I stood up and handed Autumn to his father. "I'll go talk to him." I said. I walked outside and slowly sat down next to him. "Babe?" I gently touched his shoulder. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah." I said softly, running my hand through my hair, and looking up at her. "Just very shocked." I said softly. "I dont understand why they never told me.." I said, sighing shakily

I took his hand. "It's going to be okay.. They both love you very much." I said softly.

" I know.. its just.. alot to take in." I said softly, giving her hand a squeeze as I kissed her softly.

I nodded and kissed him back. "I love you.." I whispered.

"I love you too." I said softly and I stood. "Lets go back." I said, taking her hand. I was just mainly disappointed. What happened to My real parents then?

"Okay." I whispered. We went back inside and his mother looked really worried and sad.

I looked up at my parents, and I slowly took Autumn back into my arms. My mom looked like she was going to cry, I sighed and hugged her, then she began to cry softly.
