Voltaire’s expression made JD rebuke his heavily protective stance for a moment. He grabbed at his tie- damn thing was practically choking him- and he stared at Voltaire for a long moment. “Hm- well- sorry for your loss.” It was then he released his tie and sighed. “Just understand that she knows what blood, death, and pain feel like- and while you think you are courting a perfectly innocent girl- you are not. But-“ He held up his finger in rebuke. “I’ll hold you to your word. So enjoy your night- make her smile plenty and forget her past. I can never make her smile long enough to forget- and I get terribly jealous when people do.” JD sighed, “she should have a normal girl experience- eh? Just don’t go kissing her while I can see you. Then I’ll have to intervene all elder brother style. And I assure you I won’t be pleasant.” JD then smiled, “you are a good match for her Voltaire. And I hope that we will always be on the same side.
