I sighed and laid down, letting the tears fall. A few days passed and I was very lonely. I laid in bed and I heard a banging. I sat up quickly and grabbed my phone, dialing Jay's number. "Jay? Are you still at the hotel?" I asked calmly. The banging stopped and I let out a relieved breath.
-
I quickly answered. "Hello? Yes.. why?" I asked, my voice scratchy from stressing so much.. was she okay?
-
I heard the stairs creaking. "J-Jay.. Someone's in the house." I whispered. Déjà vu. The bedroom door suddenly slammed open and a guy in a mask ran in. I screamed and he grabbed my phone, and threw it against the wall. He pinned me on the bed and punched me right in the stomach. Tears formed in my eyes at the pain. After he hit me again, I grabbed the lamp and hit him in the side of the head. I saw a flash of a blade and I desperately tried to protect my baby inside of me.
-
I quickly threw my phone down, running out to my car as fast as humanly possible. I started the car and sped down the road, hazard lights on and everything. I pulled up, and jumped out, rushing inside. "Annbelle!" I yelled, running up the stairs, to see a man on top of Annabelle, punching her, I ran to him and I felt a sharp pain in my side as I threw him against the wall, I pinned him and I threw punches from left to right until the guy was passed out.. I looked down to see the handle of the blade sticking out from my side. "Fucking shit.."
-
I clutched my stomach, short gasps leaving my breath. "No.." I moaned, tears streaming down my cheeks. My stomach was killing me.
-
I quickly called 911, my voice fading slowly, they were in their way. I pulled the knife out, and I ripped my shirt, tying it around my waist to help the bleeding. Dont black out.. dont black out, I rushed over to Annabelle, my vision becoming blurry by the second. "Babe.. hey hey.. look at me. Help is coming okay? You will be okay..." I said, and I then lost consciousness..
-
I noticed the wound. "Oh my god.." I gasped. The perimedics came in and we were put on stretchers and taken to the hospital.
-
I woke up in the hospital room.. the first thing to come to my mind was Annabelle.. the baby. Was she okay ? I heard nurses talking about her. "Shes in room 1253." I heard one say, and I quickly stood, taking the iv out of my arm and walking down the hall, and into her room. "Annabelle.."
-
I was staring out the window, my hand on my stomach, tears in my eyes. I heard my name and I looked up, surprised to see Jay. "Jay... You need to go back to your room.. You're hurt worse than I." I whispered.
(Should the baby be okay or not?)
-
(Yes.)
"No.. I'm fine.." I said, sitting beside her bed, and I took her hand, expecting her to pull it away. "Are you okay? The baby?" I asked. Pure concern in my eyes
-
"We're okay." I whispered, looking down at our hands. "My stomach is bruised though." I closed my eyes. "I'm sorry you got stabbed.."
-
I sighed , and shook my head. "Its not your fault. Im okay, its not as severe as yours was. Im very glad that it was me, and not you.." I said kissing her hand.
-
I opened my eyes and looked up into his. I gently touched his cheek. "I love you.." I whispered.
-
I leaned into her hand, and I looked up at her. "I love you too.." I said, tears forming in my eyes. "This wouldnt have happened.. this is.. my fault.."
-
"Stop." I said, shaking my head and wiping away his tears. "Don't." I leaned up slightly and kissed his cheek. "It'll be okay."
-
I gently hugged her, and my face buried into her neck, and I placed soft kisses on it. "Im so sorry.. for everything.. I am.." I said.
-
I closed my eyes and stroked his short hair. "It's okay baby.. It's okay.." I whispered, my voice slightly shaking.
-
I slowly pulled back and looked into her eyes, a nurse ran in, and took my arm. "Sir, you have to get back to your room." She said.
-
I sighed and smiled gently at him. "I'll be okay. You go get better." I said softly.
-
I nodded slowly, and I stood and walked back to my room, and I then laid back down, wincing as my nurse out the iv back in.
-
I got to leave the next day, but I didn't leave the hospital. I sat with Jay in his room.
-
I took Annbelles hand. There were things that still needed to be talked about. "What did the doctor say about thebaby?" I asked her.
-
"The baby is going to be okay. Don't worry." I said, leaning down to kiss his forehead.
-
I nodded, releif coming off me in waves. A nurse came in, and said that I was free to go, I just had to take medicine daily, and that it had to be changed every 6 hours. Like Annballes was. I got dressed, and I grabbed my car keys, glad Jesse had dropped my car off. "Lets go home?" I asked her, taking her hand.
-
I nodded. "Yeah." I answered. I drove us home and then I went and cleaned up the damage.
-
When we got home, I helped clean up, and I walked into the nursery, seeing the hole in the wall. . . I sighed, and I hung a picture over it.. I cant look at it any more.
-
I walked in and hugged him from behind. ".... Are you okay?" I asked gently.
-
"Not really." I said softly. I turned and hugged her. "Im not like Dustin.. I promise.. "
-
I hugged him back and kissed his neck. "I know you're not." I whispered.
-
I looked into her eyes, and I kissed her forehead softly. I then got on my knees and kissed her belly softly.
-
I was surprised at the sudden affection. My heart literally melting. I blinked away the tears in my eyes and I stroked his short hair gently.
-
I stood, and I kissed her softly. I ran my hand through her hair slowly.
(Should we skip.to 8 months?)
-
Jay now looked like his old self, and I was huge. The baby was going to be a girl. I was very cranky a lot. My brother walked into our house and gave me a jar of dill pickles. That was one of my main pregnancy cravings.
-
She indeed was cranky a lot, but I learned to be patient, and calm with her. It never got as bad as last time. I walked into the living room seeing the pickle hand off. I chuckled, and I sat beside Annabelle , and kissed her gently. "More?"
-
I nodded. "Yeah..." I answered. I took his hand and put it on my belly. "As soon as she heard your voice, started kicking." I said softly.
-
I felt her stomach , and I grinned feeling her kick. "I think I know a good name for her." I said softly. "Delilah." I said, looking up at Annabelle
-
I smiled. "Yeah.." I grabbed a pickle and bit into it. My brother put his arm around me. "I was hoping you would have twins! Cuz we're twins, and that would have been awesome." He said with a laugh.
-
I chuckled. "One kid is good." Isaid, smiling. "You like that name right?" I asked her.
-
I nodded. "It's pretty. I also like Autumn. Since she'll be born in the fall." I said, wincing when she kicked hard. "God, she has strong legs."
-
"Autumn Delilah Armstrong.." I said softly. Just an idea. I took her hand as I saw her wince. "Shewants out." I said.
