I just stayed in the nexr few days, not doing much.. her and I would text here and there, and sadly didnt meet up. I wanted too, but I didn't push it. I was walking along the path in the snow, then I turned and walked the coffee shop. I got my usual, and I sat down in the corner of the room. I didnt look around at anyone. Just kept to myself..
-
I looked up and I swallowed hard when I saw Adira walk in. She seems even more sad.. I sighed and stood up, walking to her table. I slowly sat down in front of her. "Hi.."
-
I jumped slightly when she sat sown, relieved when I noticed who it was. "Hey." I saie, smiling slightly, but I knew it wasnt my best smile. At hiding what I was feeling at the moment still. I didnt slice my arms over the couple days. Good right?
-
I gently tucked my hair behind my ear and I looked into her blue eyes. "How are you?" I asked softly.
-
"Im." I began, and I looked down after her and I made eye contact. "Im good." I said, not as cheerfully as I wanted to. "Yourself?" I asked.
-
I shrugged. "I'm okay. I applied at hot topic this morning. "
-
I looked up at her and smiled. "Oh? Thats great." I said. "When do you start? I have a shift later." I said.
-
I shrugged. "I don't know. I have an interview this weekend." I said, sipping my frappe.
-
I nodded slowly. "Ah, okay.." I said softly. I glanced down at my phone, seeing a blocked number was calling. I quickly declined it and I felt tears begin to form in my eyes. I wish he would leave me alone! He got wha he wanted..
-
I noticed that she looked like she was about to cry and I frowned, gently taking her hand and rubbing my thumb over the top. "What's wrong? " I asked.
-
I calmed myself, not wanting to cry around these strangers in the coffee shop. "Im okay.. just. Something happened the other day that upset me.. and I just got reminded of it."
-
I frowned and slowly let go of her hand. "What happened?" I asked.
-
"I'll tell you another time.." I said softly, and I looked back at her, after a few moments I took a deep breath. "So, you excited to start the job? Im sure you'll get it." I said.
-
I shrugged. "Not really. Working isn't much fun.. But money is money!"
-
"Well this job is cool. You get major discounts on things in the store, and everyone else is cool. Especially the kids who come in." I said.
-
I smiled. "Well that's good. " I replied, finishing my cold drink.
-
"Yeah.. you doing anything later?" I asked her, still very relived we had gotten off the other topic.. she looked very beautiful today..
-
I shook my head. "Nope." I replied with a smile.
-
"Maybe we could hang out again. I mean, if you want to." I said, remembering what had happened last time.
-
I smiled slightly. "Yeah, of course." I replied. Is this really a good idea?
-
"Alright, ill see you later then, gotta go." I said, smiling, and I stood, heading to the door.
-
"Bye." I answered with a sigh. When she left, I went home. Why was she so upset? What happened?
-
When I got home I took a shower, and I called in 'sick' for work. I wasnt well enough to go there now, after what happened. I got dressed and I looked at my red skin. It will fade. But I still felt gross..
-
I got on Madeline's R.I.P page and I scrolled through the comments. People who didnt even know her are saying that they miss her. That pisses me off!
-
Come over whenever you want. I sent to Constance and I cleaned up the house a bit and I sat and brushed my.damp hair. I glanced.down at my cuts, seeing that they were healing. I smiled slightly and ran my finger over them.
-
On my way. I sent. I drove to her house and I got out, knocking on her door.
-
I set my brush down and I got up and opened the door. "Hey." I said, smiling and I hugged her and then let her in. "Hungry?" I asked her.
-
I shook my head. "No, I'm fine." I replied, smiling at her.
-
I smiled and shrugged. "All right. So how have you been? Besides applying for the job." I asked her.
-
I smiled. "I'm alright.. So.." I suddenly got serious. "What happened?"
-
I froze And I sat on my couch and I held my head in my hands. I knew she wouldn't give up on asking untill I told her. "Fine.." I began, and I immediately started to shake , memories coming back to me. "My ex.. after volleyball practice he.. found me and..." I tried to keep a steady stream of words, but the tears kept coming. "Raped me." I managed to say..
-
I immediately wrapped my arms around her and I hugged her tightly. ".... I'll kill him."
-
I just stayed there in her arm, and cried softly in her shoulder, then it turned to soft sobs.. I was glad she was here.. I really was.. after a while I slowly pulled back, wiping me tears. "He left town. I dont know where he went.."
-
I gently took both of her hands in mine and I squeezed them. "You have to press charges Adira.."
-
I looked down at our hands and I squeezed them softly. "I will.." I said , then looked up into her eyes. "Thank you.. for being here."
(Brb, going to the dealership to get my mums new car.)
-
I smiled and nodded, looking down at our hands. This time I didn't pull away. "I'm always here."
-
Back!
I was surprised she didnt yank her hands away this time. It made me feel.. better.. "Thank you.. so much.." I said and I kissed her cheek softly.
-
When her lips touched my skin, it began to tingle. I blushed and gave her a comforting smile. "No problem.." With a pang of hope, I began to wonder if she's straight or what.. No.. It's just a friendly kiss. Because we're friends.
-
I looked back into her eyes, and ive never seen anyone care about me so much, I laced out hands together and I felt my.cheeks get red.. was I falling for her?.. she wouldn't go for mex especially after what happened with her..
-
She's holding my hand.. Oh my god, she's holding my hand.. I was desperately trying not to blush. It's been so long since I've held someone's hand like this. I hardly know her, and yet I feel such a strong connection with her.
