OOC : Tippenbottom's Academy for Monsters

Hey, guys! I know everyone probably has individual/private plans for the role-play, but... I was wondering if anyone would be interested in plotting for some fun, general event in the RP? I don't know, haha.


Like, maybe a dance... lolol. I know it's just the "first" day of the role-play, but... we can always time-skip a few days? Like... maybe a welcome-dance...? End of the opening week-thing? I don't know. I'm just trying to get the ball rolling or something, lolol. But if there is a major event already planned then... well, then nevermind, lol...

Yeah, I think it would be really fun to have something like a welcome-dance. We can even have it as a themed/costumed/masquerade thing... just for kicks, lol.

I don't know? It'll give our characters some thing to do (e.g. find dates) and build tons of awkward/tension/drama... stuff... lolol.

If it would be safe to assume the first day of school as Monday, we could probably propose that the dance be held on Saturday night of this week. Maybe have an announcement post made in the cafeteria about noon-ish so that everyone has a bit of a warning for it, and allows the drama to begin?

@ OMLYT : Yeah, Saturday evening sounds about good. And, this is just my personal opinion, but it might be a good idea to time-skip some of the days between now and Saturday, lol.

And, yeah, I think having an announcement during noon at the dining hall sounds good. I mean, the older students should know about it (maybe it's an annual thing?), but this way the newer students have a head's up and don't get blind-sided by the event, lolol.

Sorry for not posting more but my Internet has been down for almost a week now and I have fallen behind. I'm gonna have to abandon my character because I'm kinda lost in this RP. I'm orphaning him if anyone wants to pick him up.

I do believe that it does have some odd etymology. While mandrake is certainly a kind of plant, and is actually associated with a type of magical race that is actually of the mandrake plant, the word would be broken down to mean a half-human, half-dragon being: "Man-" referring to the human race, and "-drake" referring to that of a form of the word "dragon".

I like etymology. ^w^

OAO Sudden job change! I went from file clerk for half of the day to office baby-sitter for all day. Fun stuff. Very fun stuff. Can't get on for the other half of the day now.

For a high schooler working in an office? Psh. Yes. Maybe by the end of the summer I'll have just enough to get an old used car. Or a vespa... Eh. That is only if I don't spend money on school clothes, and modern society usually looks down upon the nude.

@ OMLYT : If you have enough money to get an old car... it's quite a bit of money, hahaha. xD; And, please, it's not like you don't CURRENTLY have clothes to wear... lolol.


@ EPIC : Hm... I think there's a minor misunderstanding in the infirmary scene. Ren didn't introduce himself to Rayne; he realized that he doesn't know Fei's name.

But, that aside, there's another, I think, more pressing issue... According to your post, the characters are all out of position...? Like, the scene, from my understanding, looks like this:

Fei is sitting on the bed. Ren is sitting on a chair in front of Fei. They are connected at the hand/arm vis-a-vis bandages. Rayne appeared behind Ren, which is why Ren didn't take note of her in the beginning. At this point, nobody has made any actual movements to change location... Given this, even if Ren was going in to hug Rayne, it's not possible for her to move in a way that would lead Ren into Fei. ):

Being dramatic. ^w^ I'm particularly good at that.
But, I don't think I'm actually going to get any sort of vehicle. Forgot about a convention I'm going to later this summer. XD A lot is going towards cosplay and other convention madness~
