College Life

I woke up and stretched, yawning softly. "Good morning..." I said, kissing her forehead.

"Morning,"I mumbled incoherently, looking up at her through one squinted eye, a small smile on my lips.

I smiled and pecked her lips. "Sleep well?" I asked.

"Nooo,"I groaned,"The sex monkeys weren't exactly making it easy, either."

"Sorry." We heard Sydney say from across the room. I giggled and shook my head. "We can take a nap later. Wanna go get breakfast?"

I nodded slowly,"Please... For once I don't have to do the cooking."

"I'm gonna have a serious talk with my mother later." I said. I let her borrow my clothes and we went to a cafe for coffee and pancakes.

"I don't want to cause problems. They're housing me and paying me... I'm suppose to work, you know,"I said over the last couple of bites of breakfast, sipping my coffee.

"You see, but I made my mother promise you last night off. Then all of a sudden she has a surprise dinner party? She never does that. She always plans ahead." I said, finishing my food. "And it won't be you causing problems. It'll be me."

"Well what if she fires me? Then we are both screwed, I go home and you..."I sighed, rubbing my eyes tiredly,"I don't know..."

"If you get fired I will find you a better job." I answered. I sighed and sat back, closing my eyes. I hated all this complicated stuff..

"Jez... Let it go, okay?"I reached across the table and squeezed her hand.

I sighed. "I just want to know why my mom's being a bitch." I answered. I squeezed her hand back and brought it to my lips, kissing it softly.

"She's being a boss, with friends and family, it's life,"I said, smiling softly.

"Sometimes I'm just tired of life.." I answered with a sigh, looking down.

"We have a good life, honey... What's got you so tired?"I asked, squeezing her hand softly.

I shook my head. "This big ass city.. New York.. It's hard to get peace and quiet around here.." I answered.

"Then let's go on vacation,"I whispered softly, sighing,"Let's go camping or something..."

I looked up and smiled. "Maybe we can someday.." I answered, looking back down at our hands.

"Soon?"I asked, raising an eyebrow,"Honey you need a vacation..."

I sighed. "I don't know when I can make time.." I answered.

"Well... What about tonight? Put our cell phones away... No computers, no television... Just us locked in your room, no interruptions,"I said gently,"Spend a night with no nothing."

I looked up and smiled at her. "That sounds great." I answered. "I'll cook you dinner." I said, leaning across the table to peck her lips.

"God, no, no food. I want Cheetos and icecream and popcorn. Nothing that involves being near that fucking kitchen,"I said with a chuckle.

I laughed. "We can stay in my dorm, if you want." I answered. "I can tell Syndey to stay with her parents or something."

"No, absolutely not. We are getting out of this city,"I said, squeezing her hand,"Far, far from this city:"

"Well... A few hours down I have a cabin in the woods.." I suggested.

"That could be fun,"I said with a smile, nodding,"Would you want to?"

I smiled. "Of course." I answered, squeezing her hand. "It's about a 3 hour drive so we can leave whenever you want."

"As soon as you're comfortable... I will need to pack, and ask for work off with your mother, but I'm good,"I said with a nod. Smiling and moving the last few bites of pancake around.

"Let me ask her." I said, sipping my coffee. "That way you'll definitely have the night off."

"Don't threaten her,"I said with a smirk, shaking my head slowly n

I rolled my eyes. "Of course not. I'm not that disrespectful." I said with a chuckle.

Once we finished breakfast we headed back to the house, her parents house, where I headed to my room while she went to speak wih her parents.

"I'm sorry about last night, Jez." My mother apologized. "Good. To pay me back, you are going to give Amy tonight off because we are taking a little vacation to the cabin. Cool?" I asked. My mom sighed. "Sure." I kissed her cheek, then went down to Amy's room. "She approved."

I nodded and began packing a bag, just a pair of pajamas and such, it was just overnight.

Once she packed a bag, I went and packed mine, then we went to the grocery store and bought some chips and junk food and stuff. Then we were on the road.

I smiled at her,"This will be really nice, you know... Having a break... Just us..."

I glanced at her and smiled. "I couldn't agree with you more babe." I answered, taking her hand and kissing it.

I smiled and turned on the radio, relaxing and singing with her until our connection became fuzzy. I turned it off, we were only half an hour from the cabin now. I looked over at her,"You are gorgeous."
