"Did they do anything else to you?"Laurey asked as she dipped the washcloth in a small bowl of cold water. dabbing her forehead.
Astoria shook her head. "No. My father just cursed me." She whispered, closing her eyes. The wet cloth felt good on her forehead.
"Okay,"Laurey said with a nod,"That's good.. We can fix that." She sat back, watching her,"So, how did someone with your lifestyle end up with my son?"
Astoria opened her eyes. "I don't really know how to explain it. But he's different than any Muggle I've ever known. And that's what intrigued me. And when he got injured, and I saved him, he wanted to die. He was in so much pain. But I found myself wanting him to live more than I wanted myself to live." She glanced over at her. "And he somehow loves me despite the horrible things I have done to his people."
"That's Joey... He's a lover, not a fighter... He cares hard and he cares deep... He forgives and forgets,"Laurey said with a smile, nodding as she stood up."Is there anything I can get for you?"
Astoria shook her head. "No thank you. I'll be okay." She smiled weakly. "Thank you so much, for you care."
"Of coarse... With the way Joey looks at you, how could I not take care of you?"LAurey said before going downstairs to Joey and Michael. Joey looked up and raced upstairs, stopping in the doorway and watching her
Astoria looked over and smiled when she saw Joey standing in the doorway. "Hey handsome." She said softly. "You look like you've just seen a ghost."
"Not a ghost... An angel,"he said with a smile, stepping in and standing infront of her, tucking her hair behind her ear,"I was so worried.."
Astoria smiled and touched his cheek. "Hey. Don't worry. I'll be okay now." She whispered.
Joey nodded,"Will you pleeeeeeease eat something now?"

(I'm going to bed, love. Goodnight!)
Astoria sighed. "I guess. But it won't be a lot." She whispered, taking his hand and squeezing it gently.
(Goodnight!)
"Come on,"Joey said softly, smiling and leading her down to the kitchen,"Hey Jorri, you wanna make some toast for Astoria? I'm sure she would love the help of a big girl." Jorri giggled and went to grab everything. For it being a wizarding home, they didn't like to need to depend on magic, they used toasters and such. They wanted their children to be able to live normal lives independantly of magic.
Astoria squeezed his hand and sat down at the table, ignoring the dull pain in her body. It didn't just as much, it just felt like she body slammed into concrete from 20 feet up.
Joey rubbed her back, he knew she didn't want to talk about it, so he found something else to talk about,"Is there anything you want to do today?"
Astoria shrugged. "I don't know. What is there to do?" She asked, smiling and thanking Jorri when she gave her the toast. She nibbled on the end, glancing at Joey.
"I don't know,"Joey said with a soft smile and a shrug, lifting Jorri onto his lap,"We can't really go out and do anything, not yet. So anything we can do inside... Build a fort, play a game, any wizardy stuff you ladies can think of?"
Astoria chuckled. "I don't know. I never played much games as a child. Do you have any ideas little one?" She asked Jorri kindly.
Jorri thought for a moment, rolling her lips and swinging her feet,"Well... We could color! I got new coloring books, and when you're done the animals come to life off the page!"
"That sounds really fun. Why don't you go get them?" Astoria asked and she smiled as Jorri excitedly jumped off of his lap and ran up to her room.
Joey grinned and turned to Astoria, placing his hand on hers and giving it a soft squeeze,"Feeling okay?"
Astoria nodded and looked down at their hands. "Yes. I'm okay." She answered softly, resting her other hand on top of his.
Joey leaned in, kissing her softly and giving her hand a soft squeeze,"I love you."
Astoria kissed him back briefly before pulling away. "I love you too." She whispered. Just then Jorri came bounding down the stairs with her coloring books.
Joey couldn't help but laugh and he helped her lay them all out with her crayons and markers, too.
Astoria had a fun time coloring, and Jorri really seemed to like her, which was a good thing. They laughed delightedly as the animals came alive and ran circles around them. "I'll be back." Astoria said, rising from her chair and going up to her room. She sat down on the bed and grabbed her wand, muttering an incantation. When nothing happened, she got frustrated and did it again. When it still didn't work she threw her wand across the room and laid back against the bed. For some reason, the tears began to flow before she could stop herself
After Astoria didnt return, Joey crept upstairs and frowned when he heard her crying,"Astoria? Honey, what is it?"
Astoria sat up quickly, though it hurt, and she quickly wiped her eyes and took a deep breath. "It's nothing.." She answered quietly.
"Talk to me,"Joey said softly as he sat next to her, placing a hand on her back,"I'm right here.. Let me help you."
Astoria's lip trembled and she looked away. "I have to tell you something." She whispered. She took a deep breath. "When I went to my manor, my mother was the first to see me. She slapped me, then told me something was different about me. She then did something with her wand and my body glowed pink for a moment. Joey.." She turned to him. "I found out that I'm pregnant."
