Silver blushed a bit when he put his arm around her, feeling a bit inexperienced for any of this. They walked to the lobby and Silver was surprised to see how different it looked. She smirked. "Magic..."
This brought another flush of color to Sasha's face, " ...fine, whatever you think," she mumbled, walking with him down the stairs. She wasn't that surprised at seeing the newly redecorated lobby, as Sasha was used to seeing such sights. She was, however, embarrassed to be seen in this outfit, and looked away from the others, blushing a bit.
Undisturbed he managed to pilfer a few files away, alter his and E’s, and then inevitably back out of Records without much fuss.
Inevitably he went back to his dorm and hid what he found in a lock box before he stared at the mirror for a minute too long. “Ugh- am I slowly convincing myself to go to the prom. Have you infected me E with your vivacious need to make friends?” He asked no one in particular as he stared at the mirror and then turned to his bed. JD quickly noted that his sister had placed a nice and primped suit upon the bed for him- a rather sweet reminder that she was going to be there and he should join her. “Thank you for being the nice, wonderful, and friendly twin- but your influence ends today.” He glanced at the suit and sighed. “Tomorrow- it ends tomorrow- and I’m making absolutely no promises that I’m going to be sweet.” A devilish grin flicked across his lips before he got dressed.

JD found himself at the lobby before long and glanced around at the cheerful couples. “Well this is nauseating.” Eyes panned over to Silver and some odd boy he had failed to meet yet. “Awe- was last night just a one night thing? I’m hurt Silver.” He pressed his hands against his chest and feigned some form of heart attack. “It is alright- guess I’ll go stag.” Hands came to his head and he formed odd antlers with his hands. “Now just got to find E and glare at her date with death eyes.”
"You don't think it's too much?" Maya sat plainly in front of the mirror. She turned to Eos and gasped. "Well, aren't you gorgeous." She smiled. "Though, I probably don't need to tell you that. Volitaire will be telling you all night." She began to look around, preparing to go and picking up her stuff. Her heart started to speed up.
"Sorry I took so long. Let's go." She looked unstable.
[I was trying to attach a picture, but it's a lot of trouble -____- will attach later]
Volitaire was already at the doors of the school ready to enter. Thoughts filled his head, soon he'd lift off like a balloon. But he tried to suppress them as much as he could. He needed to enjoy himself as much as he could. He opened the doors and found himself in the lobby, and JD already by Silver. He wasn't shocked but he kept face. He made his way over to JD, knowing he'd probably want to speak with him.
Silver turned when she heard a familiar voice. "O-Oh, JD! Hi. Y-you look nice tonight." She smiled at him, again blushing a bit and unsure if his flirtatious attempts were serious or not. "Well, if you had asked me first, I'd be here with you instead."
Silver looked around and spoke again. "Here I thought you were avoiding me, I was heartbroken." She put her finger on her cheek, pretending a tear was rolling down it.
What's this, I put on a dress and suddenly I have confidence? Maybe it's the atmosphere?... Hmm.. Oh well.
Enki saw JD and after listening to what he said, he sneered. "Back off." He stared intensely at JD with his red eyes. "She's mine."
Enzo looked around the lobby, some orchestral music played in the background, it wasn't too loud, but it was enough to set the mood for the dozens of couples in the lobby. "Wow.. This is amazing, check it out, Sasha!" At the side, Red and Kyoya stood guard. "I should be on that dance floor." Red muttered. "You're a part of the security team, this is your job, be quiet."
JD smiled at Silver’s response and leaned into her form. “Sorry I was dealing with ‘familial’” using air quotes, “issues this afternoon. Just know that tomorrow you are mine again m’dear and I shan’t let anyone escort you around that shouldn’t have anything to do with you.” He offered a sweet smile as he looked to her. “You are quite beautiful this evening, but you have a date- let him compliment you plenty.” It was then he smiled. “Do have fun with my girlfriend. This is the last chance you get.” JD laughed softly and ran a hand through his blonde locks before averting his attention to Voltaire.
“So you are my sister’s date. I should have expected this, and yet I was blinded by your ‘niceties’. Either way you seem like a nice bloke. Let me lay this out for you though: my sister is unfortunately not the charming woman you want her to be. And she will inevitably break your heart. So- give up this ghost while you still can. Because if you continue to pursue it- I’ll continue to pursue you. I have been through a lot in my little life, and I’m very VERY protective of what I have.” JD smiled brightly.
Volitaire remained silent. "Understand me, I know what you mean about 'protective'...my brother sacrificed himself fighting with me. I make this a mistake of my own ever sense...to whatever your sister does to me let her. I'm not looking out for myself. More for her. Letting her enjoy her time here as long as it may be. JD, trust me...I understand where you're coming from. Just tell me when you want me gone." He finally showed his eyes, somewhat soaked with tears remembering Einso die right in front of him after years of being by his side. He wiped his face and made a friendly smile. "I'll take care of her. Don't worry.."
Oh, knowing Kenji, he probably found a girlfriend already. She chuckled sadly to herself and made her way into the lobby. With all of the people there, auras mixed and conflicted, making it hard for her to find him. She looked around for a few seconds before spotting Volitaire, JD, a red-headed boy, and Silver. JD was smiling, but everything about him was threatening. Maya frowned at them. Play nice, JD. It was many seconds before Maya realized that Kenji was behind her.
Voltaire’s expression made JD rebuke his heavily protective stance for a moment. He grabbed at his tie- damn thing was practically choking him- and he stared at Voltaire for a long moment. “Hm- well- sorry for your loss.” It was then he released his tie and sighed. “Just understand that she knows what blood, death, and pain feel like- and while you think you are courting a perfectly innocent girl- you are not. But-“ He held up his finger in rebuke. “I’ll hold you to your word. So enjoy your night- make her smile plenty and forget her past. I can never make her smile long enough to forget- and I get terribly jealous when people do.” JD sighed, “she should have a normal girl experience- eh? Just don’t go kissing her while I can see you. Then I’ll have to intervene all elder brother style. And I assure you I won’t be pleasant.” JD then smiled, “you are a good match for her Voltaire. And I hope that we will always be on the same side. We will always be on the same side right?”
Silver's face turned bright red at JD's comment and she turned back to Enki, trying not to show it. Girlfriend? Did he just call me his girlfriend?
"S-Shall we?" she asked as she gestured to the area where people were dancing.
He nodded. "It's what I aim to do with everyone...but I question if I'm her match, I've seen all the same...and had to commit it myself in come situations...I don't even know myself entirely just yet, JD. Also intervene away...this is my first encounter with a female, so I highly doubt I'll have the courage to try." Volitarie sighed knowing the grim side of his life is not good for her, and he knew he had to go back to that life soon. "You're a good brother. I know you must make her smile more than I or anyone else have. Perhaps she's stubborn to show you all she's appreciative of you for. You never know...I was the same way."
She managed a laugh, " Hah, it's nice."
Sasha noted the annoying blonde out of the corner of her eye, " Che, so he's here too. He looks okay in a suit, I suppose."
She rolled her eyes a little, noting everyone else, " Damn, this lace is friggin' itchy!" she muttered, tugging at it, " It feels horrible."
After staring at JD for the longest, Enki returned his glance to Silver, it became softer. "Yeah, let's go." Together, the both of them walked out to the dance floor. "Can you dance?" He asked her.
"Looking for someone?" Kenji asked, smirking as he always is.
Meanwhile, in Boone's office. He realized for a Saturday, the school was pretty quiet. Then, he gets an email on his computer. "Congratulations on a successful prom!" The email noted. Prom? what prom? Boone wondered. Prom isn't this early on... He stood up, and decided to check the lobby. He left his office, and went down to the staircase leading to the first floor. The lobby was perfectly normal, with little students walking in and out. Strange.. Nobody's talking about a prom.
Silver froze, realizing she had never before danced. She always thought of swordplay as a type of dance, but she hadn't done anything else; she never felt the need to. What was she going to do?
"U-Um... I'm not sure..."
Suddenly she felt nervous. Maybe they could sit on the side and drink punch instead?
Maya immediately blushed and returned to not being able to look Kenji in the eye. "You look very... refined." She giggled, and finally looked up at his suit jacket. "Why don't you always stay like this?" She put a hand on his shoulder, very lightly examining his jacket, and slowly getting enough confidence to look him in the eye again.
Out on the dancefloor, she heard one of her favorite songs. It wasn't preppy, in fact, it sounded like it was about someone who was mourning. They're probably only playing it because they haven't listened to the lyrics, she hummed. Though, the song instilled a sense of fear in her. It made her feel as if they were all doomed.
Silver faded away with this Enki fellow faster than JD would have liked. Yet alas he had been caught up in his own emotions all day and had not had the chance to ask her out. It was his own fault that she was not laced around his arm the evening, and if he had anyone to blame- it was but himself. Still it didn’t stop him from staking his claim in the girl early on.
JD glanced back to Volitaire and sighed. “You need to build plenty of courage, bloke. Don’t doubt yourself- or you will fall quite quickly.” It was then he paused, “now why am I giving you this advice? Because I want tonight to work out well for E. So- plenty of courage and bravado. I know that might not be your ‘thing’ but give it a bit of thought before you totally dismiss it. She is tougher than any woman you could ever meet. Whatever you have tucked back there I’m sure she can take it on tenfold. So-“ It was then he pressed his hand to his chin. “I assure you- I don’t make her happy. I just remind her of what happened in our past. E needs some time away from that- no matter what amount of perils await her on your end. So- show her a good time.” That last phrase seemed to be nonnegotiable, and he smiled afterwards before he bowed. “Go Mister Voltaire- do have fun on your prom. I’ll be watching you- of course- but I promise not to get belligerent and challenge you to a midnight duel tonight.” He smiled. “I think that might be some other fellow that stole my date.”
Volitaire turned to watch Enki walk away with Silver. "I get a bad vibe off him also...just not in the same way as you. But, I have a lot tucked away...I believe you would hate me for it...to be perfectly honest. It makes me worry, actually." Right now is probably the best time to be honest...he's courting someone's sister and he knows nothing of his dangerous motives. "JD. I would like to speak to you after prom. It's quite important, I feel. But you go ahead and spy on Enki and Silver. I won't be too forward with her, I have not the will or the intention." He kept his eyes on Enki, narrowing his glare.
"If you really don't like it, you could have stayed in your jumpsuit. I wouldn't mind." He smiled. Enzo was always one for putting people ahead of himself, even if it got him hurt in the long run.
"I don't know if you heard, but it's a curse I have. A witch casted it on me, and I have to live my life in my infant body." Kenji tipped his fedora down a bit. "When i'm strong enough, I can resist the curse, like now. It's only temporary, though."
"Me either, but we can make up our own dance, or something." Enki said to Silver. He held out his hand to offer her to dance right then and now.
“Bad vibe barely covers it,” JD stated sorely. “I’ve only known her for an evening but I would have liked to known her more. I’m not without my emotions.” Though watching him would have implanted a different story within one’s head. “No worries I’ll keep my eye on him, and you have no doubts on me being able to take whatever comes at me. I’m- eh- lets’ say impenetrable.”
He smirked before offering the most sincerest of bows. “Have a good night with my sister. And we shall speak afterwards. Maybe- we’ll have plenty of things to discuss.”
Maya shook her head. "I'm sure I know stronger witches. But... We can talk about it later. For now, let us dance." She held Kenji's hand lightly, leading him out on to the dance floor. When they got out there, she wasn't sure what to do. The same song was still playing, and it bothered her. She held on to his hand and waited for him to make a move.
"I.. Um.." Silver was unsure. She almost felt like if she took his hand, something bad might happen.
Regardless of her gut feelings, she took his hand, wondering what would come next.
"I'm glad we'll get to speak, but I'd still be wary of him...if my assumption is right he may be a bit too much for anyone here." Volitarie bows his head and goes to wait for Eos patiently.
She frowned, " Y'mean you don't like this one?" she asked him, head tilting a bit as her eyebrows furrowed, " I got into this dress just for tonight, okay?"
Sasha turned a little read as she said that, realizing that she just admitted that yes, she did care about looks, and yes, she did care about the Prom as well. Sasha averted her eyes again, "..."
Kenji and Maya danced with the music, which was slow and careful. It seemed like the entire lobby was moving with the music. Enki did the same with Silver, both couple matching the tempo of the crowd. "Really, I'm fine with whatever you wear. It's important that you enjoy the moment, you know?" Enzo said, he turned and saw as Kenji, Maya, Silver, and .. Enki? danced. And it reminded him that he should be doing that too.
He gulped.
"You are warm." She mumbled into Kenji's jacket. Maya then looked up at Kenji contently. "Thank you for coming with me. You are quite the handsome gentleman." She smiled. "How old are you, anyways?" She tilted her head to the side coyly. While I'm here, might as well try to romance someboy. The thought flustered her a bit and she blushed more. Kenji really was handsome.
Kenji smirked. "That's a need-to-know basis, only." He said teasingly. "You're welcome, though. You dance like you have had experience."
"Finished!" Eos accidentally tore her dress while she was helping Maya get ready - letting Maya go off, she did her best to quickly mend the rip. Checking herself in the mirror, she assured herself that everything was in order. Although somehow, she still felt like she was missing something. "Hmm..."
Walking over to her trunk, she reached inside and pulled out a small black, cloth bag. A glimmering blood red stone hung on the end of a thin black ribbon. Eos tied it around her neck, not realizing that the giddy feeling perking up inside her wasn't just her genuine excitement but also due to the stone. This particular item was something she had always possessed, the villains of her past attempted to rip it away from her as a small child but she kept it in secret, never wearing it - until now.
Eos came into the lobby, looking around in a panic for Volitaire. "Oh, please... tell me you're still here..."
Volitarie spotter Eos from across the lobby. She may not have seen him because of the mass of people running around in their classy get-ups sorting having him blend in a little too much. He decided to be a little funny and sneak about and give her a little surprise. He warped to a spot behind her and quietly walked over to her and tapped her shoulder. "You're looking beautiful tonight..!" He blushed at his little cheesy attempt to compliment her. He was new to all this courting and didn't really know a great way to do it. But he remembered what JD told him and tried to muster up more courage.
It was the first time anyone had said anything like that to her. Sasha's cheeks flushed a light pink, and she looked away, " Wh-whatever. "
She looked at Enzo, then looked at the others, who were all dancing, " ...Sh-should we dance too?" Sasha asked Enzo, nervous. She didn't know how to dance. All shed ever done was fight, and for her dancing was nearly impossible, " D-don't get me wrong, I just want to experience dancing," she muttered.
This is going to be so bad.. Enzo shook his head a bit in worry, then turned to Sasha once more. "We can.. uh.. try, I guess!" He hoped that Sasha could dance, so it could pick up Enzo's eventual slack. He held out his hand infront of Sasha, and hoped for the best.
She took his hand, " O-okay..."
Sasha hoped that Enzo could at least dance a little, because she, of course, could not do that at all.
She remembered something from a lesson her mother once taught her when she was little; when she was actually cared about. Sasha's mother had tried to yeah their daughter the waltz, but had failed greatly. All Sasha remembered now was the step pattern, something like one two three, one two three...
She looked at Enzo, and muttered something," ...I...I can't..."
Enzo had the idea Sasha had no clue how to dance either. He sighed, and looked over to the other couples that were doing well. It seemed everyone was doing the same moves, at the same time. "I've got an idea." He whispered to her. He started copying what they did to the best of his abilities, making sure he didn't step on any shoes. It looked easy, but actually performing it was something else entirely. "Copy them, like this.."
Are you really doing what I think you're doing? A voice rang in Enki's head, and he grunted a little, trying to ignore it. You're lucky I don't come down and kill everyone. I can just make you do it. It was then that Enki's head started to suffer from a major headache, a head splitting one at that. Slowly but surely, a dark, ominous fluid covered his brain, and Enki realized that he was no longer in control. Instead, it felt as if he were looking out his own eyes, on a TV. He couldn't feel his movements, nor control them. "S-shit. Silver! Run!" He called out, but his body wouldn't say anything. Someone else had taken over the driver seat completely.
She sighed, " Fine..."
Sasha also did what they did, moving with Enzo and attempting to copy the others' movements as well. Her left eye throbbed a little, but she ignored it, Che, I guess it's because I took the patch off earlier...
Lost in her thought, Sasha accidentally tripped over herself, and bumped into Enzo, " Crap! Sorry about that," she murmured, a bit embarrassed.
Everyone seemed to be having fun. She looked over the others, and even Enzo seemed to be okay. Eos had come down to play, finally. She was with Volitaire, and they looked wonderful together.
Maya reached up and stole Kenji's fedora off of his head. "Well, isn't this quite the fedora..." She smiled, putting it on playfully. "If you ever want to see it again, you'll do as I say." She backed up a bit so that he could not swipe it off of her, and held it on her head with one hand. Maya glanced over at the others again quickly. I still don't feel safe...
Volitaire felt a sudden but extremely heavy dark build up. "Someone's near. But I don't see them, nor is anyone acting out the ordinary. What's going on..shit! Eos!" Volitaire immediately put Eos behind him, looking back at her and then for her brother. "Eos, stay behind me!" He said suddenly while drawing his sword. He had no idea who or what was about to surface, but it was a dark power he hasn't felt before. He was worried for Eos and the others, and readied himself to protect them. Even if he died in the process.
Kenji had to hold back a laugh, it had been a while since he had actually been playful with someone. "Heh, and what do you want from me?"
"Ah!" Enzo was barely able to catch Sasha, and stay upright himself. Being this close to her made him blush quite a bit. "A-..Are you okay?" He asked her.
Enki smirked devilishly. He caught sight of Enzo, who was with, what seemed to be, one of his dear friends. A perfect target. He thought. He suddenly pushed Silver away from him, and clenched his fist. A red flame appeared on his head. Armored gloves, which looked way more advanced then Enzo's, appeared on his hands and arms, and his voice was altered, sounding demonic. "ENZO FERRARI!" He shouted out. He opend his palm towards the two, a red light shining brightly from the center of his palm. It grew larger, indicating an X-burner type move. Enzo's eyes shot to Enki once he heard his name being called out. "Huh?"
Then, a red barrage of flame shot towards the two. Enzo quickly stood infront of Sasha, taking the blast head on. Once the smoke cleared, Enzo's flames appeared. "That was cutting it close." Kenji said, with his gun barrel smoking.

"Get back." He said to Sasha.
Volitaire noticed Enzo bring up his flames. "Eos! Get back!" He shouted out and clenched his sword tightly. The need to protect something made his power spring up drastically, all the raw emotion began to force his power into a overload. His eyes grew black and the left one began bleeding, the blood swirled around his body and he was overtaken in black. His eyes glow red and his mouth emanated a red noxious like mist. He howled a sort of echoing and soulless screech. His already apparent dislike for Enki also forced his power, along with seeing Enzo face him alone.
As Maya's suspicions were confirmed, she breathed, "Kenji, what do we do?" almost too calmly. She was in shock. She took a step back and gathered her thoughts, before making a run for Silver. "Volitaire, Eos, get out of here!" She screamed as she ran. The red-head was one of the most dangerous people she had ever seen, and if his powers even matched Enzo's, there's no way they could fight. "Silver, come on, please, let's go." She whined as Silver stood up, about 5 feet away from the red-head.
