She looked at him for a second and thought he looked very nice and then she said very politely as she got up off the couch, "Oh hello there," she blushed from talking to him, "I am Ms. Beats I also work at the High School. I am the Orchestra Teacher. You look like you are in a hurry, are you going some where?"
-
"I'm as ready as i'll ever be" he said confidently. Ikitasha grabbed T.K.'s other hand and they began to dance again. He slipped a few times but other than that he was doing excellently. As far as he could see. He was being light on his feet like T.K. suggested, as well as remembering the way he landed on his feet when he fell off of the ladder. They just danced away for a while.
-
T.K. grinned at Ikitasha with a proud smile. "You're doing so much better now." she said, a laugh in her voice. They spun around the room for a little while, just dancing. She stopped after a while, giving her a second to catch her breath.
Walking back over to her seat, she praised him again. "Very well done." she said as she pulled the cap off of her bottle. She downed the rest of the water rather quickly before getting up and tossing it into the trash can near the main entrance.
-
"Helping some of the students to prepare for the dance, that's all." he said with a bit of a shrug to his shoulders. He glanced back at the watch on his wrist before shaking his head. "I'm already late anyway, and they really don't need the help..." he muttered to himself, running a hand through his black and red hair. He smiled at the woman when he realized that she was blushing. She was acting as Junko had when he first met her last year, but the black haired reading teacher was acting like she was at a very important interview and forgot what to say.
Ms.Beats on the other hand was seeming very professional. Must've come from an uptight family. he thought.
-
Flynn pulled open the door with a look of terrifying anger on his face. He watched Trinity take a step back, her eyes wide with surprise. When he realized that he had frightened her, he looked away from her and allowed the angered expression to disappear from his face.
"Sorry... You startled me."
Trinity laughed, shaking her head and rolling her eyes. "I startled you?" she said, her voice tinted with a musical tone. She brushed a piece of hair out of her eyes before shaking her head once again.
"After I heard the screams from your dorm, I was sure that your pants had grown legs and walked out the door."
"Well..." he said, laughing quietly. "They didn't..." he turned around and grabbed his mask and keys off of the little table by the door. He was ready now- his glasses gone and replaced by contacts, and his usual dress was appropriate for the dance anyway. He looked at Trinity, his eyes slightly wide. "You... Uh... Going to the dance?"
"Pah! No, I am going to an anime convention! What else would I be going to in this dress?" she asked in a sarcastic tone.
I shouldn't of had asked such a stupid question... he thought to himself bitterly.
-
"Thank you. Many people tell me that i'm a fast learner" he said cheerfully. He thought he was a fast learner as well when it has to do with athletics or something of the sort. He really liked dancing now that he knew how to. He really looked forward to dancing with T.K. at the dance. Well they were dancing now but it just wasn't the same.
-
"Oh," she said as though she was surprised, "Well, I wouldn't want to get you in trouble. Why don't we go the dance together I have nothing planned this afternoon. That is if it is fine with you?" She loved his smile.
-
Tamani chuckled. "You're a crafty one." he said with a slight smirk on his lips. "But, I like your idea." he tilted his head. "You said your name is Ms.Beats? Do you not have a first name?" he said, chuckling softly.
This woman was interesting- very few have just been so out there. Most of the women that approached him were almost always nervous, but not a lot of them were so... frustrating? No... Just interesting." he thought.
-
"Fast learner indeed." she said, laughing. She stared down at her feet before pushing the hair out of her face. She was getting tired of the bangs that fell in front of her face. The long scar over her eye was not swelling up today, and that made her relieved. She wasn't one for pulling back her hair very often, but the only person around was Ikitasha- and he didn't seem to mind.
"So what school did you go to before coming here?" she asked, looking up at the boy with her one good eye.
-
"Actually to be honest I didn't go to any school before this one. All of this stuff here is brand new to me. Math, Science, Art. All of it. Except for swordsmanship. Other than that all of this is brand new. he said shamefully. He wasn't one for telling his past. He was relieved that no one was here except for T.K.. If not then he wouldn't be able to tell her the answer to that question.
-
"I was home-schooled after the incid-"] she choked on her voice before looking back down at her feet where her dress was in a clear bag. She sighed and started again. "After the incident." she forced herself to say. She smiled meekly at Ikitasha before letting it falter.
"BUT! Lingering on the past is not what we need to do on Halloween! It will bring back ghosts of the past!" she said, trying to change the subject. She got up and twirled around the room, trying to spin herself out of this world, out of this dimension.
-
"That's what they say. They also say that cats are the guardians of the underworld or something like that." he said cheerfully. He was glad that T.K. trusted him enough that she would say that kind of stuff around him. It made him happy. He also bet that it made her happy too. Even so he twirled around to where T.K. was dancing and started to dance with her again.
-
As Ikitasha started to dance with her, she had to fix her feet. But when she tried to fix her feet, she threw the beat off and tripped over her own feet. She had fallen forward into Ikitasha's arms, sending them both to the ground.
For a moment, T.K. hadn't realized what had happened before she felt something warm against the palm of her hand. Under it was Ikitasha's chest.
"Holy crap! Are you okay?" she asked, getting off of him as fast as she could, her cheeks a bright crimson. She sat on her knees to the right of him, freaking out quite a bit.
-
Ikitasha couldn't believe what just happened. All he remember's is that T.K. falling on him. With his mouth opened just a bit and just staring at the ceiling. After a few seconds he flipped himself upward and brushed a few specs of dirt off of him. He put out a hand towards T.K. motioning her to take his hand so they may resume.
-
T.K.'s botton jaw dropped slightly as Ikitasha got up just as easily as he had. It had surprised her that he wasn't hurt. "Wha- How..." she mumbled, laughing quietly, running a hand through her blond hair. "How did you do that?" she asked, a bit freaked out. She just stared at the boy as if he had landed from Mars.
-
"I don't know myself ether. I just can do that kind of stuff." he said willing her to believe him on that. It was seriously far'fetched that what had just happened was from something unknown to him. Even so it just happened. He heard something in the distance. His ears popped strait up as he tried to hone in on the sound. But whatever made that sound he wasn't able to find it again. This disturbed him.
-
"Oh," She said "I only tell people my first name if I marry them. None of my friends even know it. Even as a kid I went by Ms. Beats. I know it seems weird but, the secrecy is necessary." She loved his bright white smile. "So umm, shall we go?" she asked.
-
Tamani just stared for a moment, a silly grin plastered on his face. When she finished talking, he chuckled. "Well... That's interesting." There goes that word again... he thought quietly. He nodded at the young woman and offered his arm. "We shall. Are you new to this town?"
-
Anaya shivered some as Edge's breath hit against her ear. She smiled some, her lips twitching upward in a small grin. Not in heaven... But pretty close to it. she thought.
"I love you too." she murmured back, closing her eyes. She felt a bunch of butterflies in her stomach, a feeling she was growing used to. The only other person she had felt this way was with Francis- a boy she was friends with at the hospital. She tried to push the thought out of her mind- the very thought of the boy firmly planted in her head.
A tear began to fall from her right eye, a small one that could almost go unnoticed. Francis had died a long time ago, but forever lived on in her head.
-
-
"No... No Edge you're perfect. So very perfect..." she whispered. She pressed her head against his chest. "Its just... memories..." she closed her eyes and sighed, trying to push the thoughts away. "I... had a friend... I lived in a hospital for 10 years... he was a cancer patient... He... he... di..." she chocked on the word. "He died." she forced herself to say. She looked up at Edge with a soft smile on her lips.
"But... Dwelling on the past..." she cleared her throat quietly and looked at the blue notebook on the desk behind Edge and then back at the redheaded young man. "is not something to do on a day like this... I'm sorry if I had upset you..."
-
Anaya wiped what little water had slid down her cheeks from her face with the sleeve of her shirt. She looked at Edge with a nod, her face a jumble of emotions- happiness, sadness, confusion and almost everything else raged before her eyes before she finally forced the thought of Francis from her mind.
She placed a hand on Edge's face staring into his eyes just for a moment before kissing him gently on the lips. She pulled away some, whispering, "Why are you so... perfect? Of all places, I find the one I loved the most in a high school- a place I used to dread..." She opened her bright green eyes and smiled at him.
He can calm me when I am upset so easily... Just by being there... Just being here to hold me or tell me everything is alright... Just like Francis used to do...
-
She took his arm gently and said, "Yes I am. I just recently moved here to work at the High School," Her phone vibrated in her pocket, "Excuse me my phone is vibrating." She pulled out the phone to check who had sent her a message as her phone only vibrates when she gets a text. "You think you can escape that easily? I know where you are. He looks kinda nice that man. I think he would look better with his blood spread all over his apartments wall."
"Umm... I gotta go. I have something important that I forgot about." She said worrily. She was sweating from the message she just got.
-
She ran to the building as though she was being chased by death himself. As she got in she didn't think to stop. "I have got to get to my room," She said, "It is the only place I am safe!" So she ran to the stairs for she knew the elevators would be a death trap. She climbed the stairs still running as she could not stop or the mysterious person might catch up to her. Finally she made it to her floor. She ran to her apartment door and struggled to unlock the door. "Finally!" She said as she opened the door and ran into her apartment. She shut the door and immediately locked it all ways possible.
-
Tamani watched her dash away as quickly as she could, and he knew something was wrong. She had went from happy and care-free to freaked out and crazed. That wasn't normal for most- unless you were T.K.. He checked the placard in the lobby to see where everyone lived and found Ms.Beats' apartment number.
Rather quickly, he ran up the stairs and looked down the hallway to suddenly hear a door slam shut. Tamani glanced around the hallway to find her apartment and there it was.
310? Its just right down the hallway from us... he thought to himself, but he pushed that aside for the moment. He gently rapped on the door. "Ms.Beats? Are you okay?" he asked.
-
She heard the knocking on the door and ever so quickly opened the door and pulling him in. She then really quickly shut the door and locked it in every way possible. "Okay," she said, "I will tell you what is going on but-" BANG! BANG! BANG! She heard a knocking at the door she looked through the peep hole and saw him, The mysterious person. "Oh, CRAP! It is him. We gotta find a way out of here," She said softly. BANG! BANG! BANG! She heard it again. Quiet again. BANG! BANG! BANG! and a third time again. But, after this one she heard some talking outside of the door and then suddenly through her apartment window a grenade came through. "CRAP! CRAP! CRAP!" she yelled. She very quickly kicked it back out the window. "Run, I have a set of stairs that lead to the roof. Hurry!" She took his arm and started to lead him to the roof.
-
Holy sh- he thought as he was suddenly pulled into the room. The door slammed behind him loudly and he watched her scramble about the living room of the apartment before going to the door. She glanced through the peep hole and then said something that he could barely hear.
She pulled him over to a window where suddenly a familiar green object came flying into the window. It was now when he realized how much trouble this girl really was. She was in trouble- or a criminal, or a spy. The many ideas spilled throughout his head and he noticed something that connected them all together.
Nonetheless, the woman was in trouble, and she needed help of some sort. Soon, his wrist was wrapped tight within Ms.Beat's smallish hand and was being tugged up a staircase on the side of a building. He looked down to see an explosion come from what looked like the apartment's trash bin. He could hear people screaming and kicking things about in the woman's apartment, but he tried to focus on something else. He found something comforting in the clicking of Ms.Beat's heels against the stairs and he kept his gaze ahead.
The roof was high up. The apartment building was a good five stories tall, but coming from the third story at the rate they were going made Tamani's lungs feel as if they were about to fall out of his rib cage. He stopped and leaned over his knees, trying to catch his breath.
"WHAT," he wheezed. "Is GOING on HERE." He stood straight up and brushed his hair out of his face. He walked over to the edge of the building and then walked back to Ms.Beats. "If you don't tell me, I can't do anything to help." he said gravely.
-
"Okay," she said, "Look. pay attention I will only say this once. I was once dating this guy. FLASH BACK He was a great, great guy he had the best hair, the best face, everything about him was great. He made a lot of money which I did not mind when i asked what he did he said, 'It is better that you do not know,' and I just went with it. I finally was able to see what he did for a living one night. We had just driven away from a party after it ended and he told me he had to stop and do some business real quick so I said okay. We drove up to the back of a real nice restaurant. He got out of the car and went into the back. As soon as he left I started looking in his car as I never got the chance. I was snooping around and in his glove compartment was a very very elegant gun the handle was so pretty and was purple but, I digress. Anyways, I wondered what he would need this for I continued snooping and found some documents that looked like photographic footage of him killing people well, I thought, 'They must be fake.' Then I heard his phone go off which he had left in the car I read the message and basically, the person I was dating was the leader of the towns most notorious Mafia. At this point I saw a man get thrown out of the backdoor and he came out and shot the man in the head three times. He forgot that I was there and when he noticed he started pointing the gun at me. So, I ducked and got over into the drivers seat and drove off because, the idiot left the keys in the ignition. He has been chasing me ever since trying to stop me from showing the police. I would but, I can't he is always so close that I can't stop running," she started to cry at this point. "I have been running for so long,"
"I think they went up this way!" she heard. "Shit!" she said, "JUMP!" She instantly grabbed him and pulled him off the building and had him grabbed around his waist with her legs she then pulled a cord on her shirt and a parachute popped out. "It is amazing what you can find in a car huh?"
-
Tamani listened to the story, thinking that it sounded very much lime a book he had read. He watched her explained things very well, and he just stared at her, his jaw dropping slightly. This girl... She just way too much trouble... he thought.
After a scream from downstairs, something grabbed him by the waist and suddenly he felt his lunch coming up in his stomach. They were falling off a building, and hypothetically, this girl was sitting on his chest.
They landed not as smoothly as they would've if they had fallen from a higher building, but it was a landing nonetheless. He just stared at Ms.Beats with wide eyes and he muttered, "I don't believe you." He sat up and rubbed the aching back of his head. Remnants of trash and other things were blazing on the ground and the faint sound of a fire truck came through the little alley they were sitting in.
"But I guess I have too believe you anyway." he grumbled as he sat up.
-
"Well, you have to come with me. He already knows who you are you try and go anywhere but with me.. well excuse my french but, your Fucked." she said, "I already have the police on there way I was smart. When we were falling off the building, I called the police they said it would be about a half hour before they got here," She said. "We have to work together to give the police some time otherwise we are both going to be running from him forever like I have," She got real serious when she said this next thing, "Are you willing to do this? I need your help so that I can quit running and just have a normal life. Please help me," She was trying to hold back her tears.
