I walked to the market and I picked out stuff slowly, tears stinging my eyes. "Ello." A strong accent said from behind me. I wiped my tears away quickly, before turning around. Wow.. He's attractive. "Are you alright miss?" He asked. I nodded and smiled. "Yeah.. Thanks."
-
I just cleaned and made the place look nice while she was gone. Guilt and regret was still stringing over me, like a weight on my shoulders. I mean.. I didnt want to hurt her. I didnt mean to..
-
I checked out and was carrying my heavy bags outside. "Shit." I mumbled when I dropped one of my bags, stuff spilling everywhere. Suddenly someone was crouched down, helping me. I looked up to see the handsome boy. "I'm Jude." He introduced. I stood up and gathered my bags. "Aurora." I answered shortly. "That's a nice name." He complimented. "Thanks." I answered shyly. He decided to help me take my bags to the apartment. Once we were there, I unlocked the door and took the bag from him. "Thank you."
-
I heard the car pull up a while later, and I headed out of the apartment which our door conveniently was just off the sidewalk where we park it. I helped with groceries silently
-
Jude smiled and shook my hand. "I'll hope to see you around Aurora." He said. I just nodded and went inside, closing the door. I sighed and began to put the groceries. "I was just going to get stuff for tonight, but since I was there, I decided to just get everything else." I said conversationally.
-
I looked at her and nodded. "Yeah, since you were there, makes sense.." I said a bit awkwardly, and I finished up putting them away.
-
"Yeah.." I answered. "So uh, tonight, I'm making some chicken and dumplings, with cherry pie for dessert." I washed my hands. "It'll be nice.. Seeing Jacob." I said, ignoring the thought of Sydney. I did not want to think about her right now.
-
"Yeah, Jacob is a good person.. very nice." I said, only having a few conversations with him here and there back in America. But from what ive discovered hes nice. I leaned against the counter and I watched her.
-
I dried my hands off, and then turned and caught him watching me. I stared at him for a moment before going to fix the guest bedroom up.
-
I sighed when she just walked off.. this little tension in the air was driving me nuts!
-
I fixed up everything, then I went to the livin room and sat down, thinking about that Jude boy. He's really sweet and insanely attractive, with his curly brown hair, green eyes, and dimples. But there's something.. Off about him.
-
I glanced at her, she looked like she was daydreaming.. I didnt put much thought into it. I just looked back at my phone trying to figure this Facebook out..
-
6 o clock came around and I heard a knock on the door. I got up and opened the door and I was tackled into a hug by Sydney.
-
I smiled when I heard a knock at the door, and when I saw who it was I tried to keep my smile.
-
I lightly pushed Sydney away. "My side still hurts." I lied.
-
What a little liar.. I thought, and I smiled at Sydney and I then saw Jacob walk in also. Awkward..
-
I served dinner and I ate quietly, avoiding eye contact with Sydney. "Are you okay?" Sydney asked. "Yeah.."
-
I sat awkwardly, not sure what to say or do.. I looked at Sydney and she gave me an odd look, and I looked away..
-
When dinner was over, I shooed everyone out of the kitchen and I began to clean and Jacob came in to help me.
-
"Hey.. whats is Auroras problem?" I heard Sydney ask me. I turned around, and looked at her. We were in the hallway. "She knows. What happened with us." I said, and looked down. "Why did you have to take advantage of me when I was drunk? Then I wouldn't be in this godamn situation." I whisper yelled.
-
"Aurora, I know something's wrong." Jacob said as we washed the dishes together. "It's just something that Slade told me.." I mumbled. "About him and Sydney?" My head snapped up. "How did you know?" I asked. "Sydney told me." He mumbled. I clenched my jaw. And my own best friend never told me.
-
"I told her.. cause she deserved the truth. Now you need to go tell her, that you took advantage of me.." I told her, and I wuickly walked away and headed upstairs, locking myself in the bedroom.
-
I looked up when Sydney walked in. "Hey... I gotta tell you something.." I sighed and sat on the counter. "That night, with Slade.. He was more drunk than me, and I.. Took advantage of him." She mumbled. "Why would you do that, if you knew I liked him?" I asked. "Because, I wanted sex." I jumped down. "Fucking bitch!" I pushed past her and went outside, sitting on the curb.
-
I heard everything, well, the last part.. I sighed, and held my head in my hands.. this was sup to be a good day.. I heard footsteps, and the guest bedroom door open, then close..
-
I wrapped my arms around my legs, and I felt someone sit with me. I looked up at Jacob and gave him a small smile. "How could she betray me like that?" I asked. He shook his head and wrapped his arms around my shoulders. "I don't know."
-
After a while, I opened the door and I headed downstairs.. I glanced outside to see her sitting on the curb, with Jacob.. what do I do?.
-
((Wait so who went in the room and what happened?))
Jacob finally got up and went inside, and I stayed outside, watching the birds fly around.
-
(Sorry, im having trouble concentrating;p but Sydney went into the guest bedroom.)
I watched as Jacob walked inside, glancing at me, then sitting on the couch.. I opened the door and I headed out.. I slowly walked over and sat by her. "Hey.." I said, touching her back gently.
-
I looked up at him, and then sighed, looking down at my knees. "Hi.."
-
I touched her hand, and pulled it from her legs gently, and I laced our fingers together. "So.. she told you.."
-
I looked down at our hands and I sighed. "Yeah. She told me." I mumbled bitterly. How dare she take advantage of him? I would never do that..
-
"I hope that.. you know that I didnt mean to hurt you.." I said. "Im glad you know the truth though.."I said, looking down, sighing..
-
"She meant to. She meant to hurt me. I can't believe her." I said, my voice shaking. I looked up at him. "She told me that she did it because she wanted you. She said you rejected her at first but she kept you drinking.." I looked away and glared at the ground. My best fucking friend!
-
I frowned.. "Babe.. im sorry." I said, I pulled her closer, into my lap. "What she did was not okay.. and I personally am not happy with her either.. she used me, and took advantage.. and, used me.to hurt you.. I cant even."
-
I rested my face in the crook of his neck. "She's always been jealous of me. I don't know why. She always goes after anything I want. I should have known that was going to happen. I should never have told her I liked you. And she..." I shook my head. "She took your virginity, which you can never get back."
-
"She shouldn't stay.. here." I said, looking at the building our apartment was in. "And.. I dont even remember.. what it was like, or what even happened.. its like it never happened. I was in a blur.. we dont count it."
-
"I count it." I whispered. I was so freaking hurt. I closed my eyes. "Was that the only time?"
-
I sighed, and I kissed her cheek.. "Yes.." I said, I brushed her hair from her face.
-
"Okay." I whispered, my arms wrapping around his neck. I rested my forehead against his and looked into his eyes.
-
I looked back at her, and I closed my eyes, and pressed my lips to hers sweetly.. "I love you.." I said against her lips.
