"Ugh, damn insect!" Red shouted as Heaven bumped into her. Red turned around to her. "I'll teach you not to put your filthy stupidness on me!" Red pulled back his fist, and then goes in to punch her.
Volitaire panicked and quickly moves around Red to grab his incoming fist, halting his attack. "What kind of sick man tries to hit a woman. An innocent one no doubt. I'm sure she didn't mean to and you just go and flip shit. Listen, you're hungry hungry hippo looking ass needs to cool out! Alright!?" Volitaire tosses the fist back, making Red move back a bit. He looks down and the girl that had fallen over and leans down to assist her. "You're not hurt, right?" Volitaire helps her up.
Heaven Eyes winced a little as she saw the red-headed boy was about to hit her. Surely she hadn't done something so awful to deserve to be hit. She closed her eyes, waiting to feel the pain from the punch she was about to receive.
Seconds passed and nothing had happened. She herd a different voice, this time it was a little kind, but on edge. She dared to open out of her eyes to see that a different boy hand leaned down to help her up. She thankfully reached for his hand and made a mental sigh of relief. "Thank you! I really though I was going to get hit.." She shyly laughed and looked over at the red-headed boy again. "Um, I'm sorry for bumping into you.."
"That does it, emo kid. Once Red said those words, nearby conversations stopped among the experienced students. They knew that whoever challenged Red wouldn't be seen for a while. "You've got one hour from now to meet me behind the school." With that, Red storms off. He wasn't used to anyone stepping up to him, and dwarfing his authority in public. That damn welp. He doesn't have a clue what's in store for him.
A black limo pulled up to the front of Sorcerer. A car that is shrouded with shadow enhanced windows and no license plate installed to the front or back. But a symbol of the organization could be seen on the hood of the car. An organization that much people do not know the name of. Inside a conversation was being held by Ling, Joanne, and the Mission Briefer. "So you understand your duties representing the higher ups for attending this school. You two are our best and it would be a shame that you end up slandering the good name of the organization." A simple "Kukuku," escaped Ling's mouth. "Of course, we would never do anything to dishonour the organization as well as losing our titles of the best. We're pretty much going to act like good little children and avoid any sort of trouble." Joanne sitting at the direction of the school just silently stared at the clear view of the giant building. Her face pretty much says, "Why did I pick such a crappy job?" Ling turned to Joanne and gave her a petty concerned face. "Don't give that face Joanne. It's the first day of school, you should try and give good impression to your peers and teachers." She simply glared back and rolled her eyes, giving a hush "tch" to show her discomfort. "Well I can't say the same for me. My face is not really the 'friendly' type." The suited man handed both of them gym bags filled with their necessities and documents. "Everything you two need are in the bags, you'll know what to do from here." Joanne exit the vehicle first after swiping the bag from the man. Ling gave a sarcastic salute and followed behind. "You know with all of your money Joanne, you could have gave us a more luxurious entrance." Joanne annoyed aura started to ride. "Ling, we're not here to act like students. We have our own objectives." Ling gave a deviant's smile and nodded. "Of course. We have an agenda to fulfil."
The arrival of the two did not surprise the crowd in any way. There were many more prestigious students exiting even more extravagant transportation in order to show off their money. But the two did give off a terrible vibe, which end up with many of the students avoiding them. Joanne kept silent in the walk, but Ling was a bit fascinated by the view around him like a kid in a candy store. "So each and every person here are magic users. If I were to be more interested, I would say 'this feels like home.' But of course, our home is a bit more brutal than this place." "This happy atmosphere is nauseating. I'm going to feel sick at the end of the day." Ling gave a small "kuku" before bending over to her height. "Lighten up, we're only here for a half a day. We need to ensure that we keep a good attendance." Ling instantly notice a conflict taken place by some students inside the building they entered. "Aiyaa, looks like we stumbled upon something troubling." The two of them witnessed the scene unfold as they watched a hot-headed "Red" share sparks with calm Volataire. Joanne is a bit interested in watching a fight ensue, so Ling stood next to her to watch the upcoming fight. Ling was giving a good examination of the place and saw Enzo not too far looking frantic and a couple of other students in the back. He even caught a glimpse of Nikola who he had recognized from reports.
Volitaire makes a somewhat maniacal laugh. "I'm looking forward to it." He sounded excited and crazy, but Volitaire is always looking to prove someone wrong. "He won't be bothering anyone after the next hour, Enzo. I'll make sure he experiences all the pain he's inflicted to others. I'll be hanging out around here should you be out of class. Volitaire leaves out to the courtyard waving as he makes his way out.
Volitaire had reminded Enzo of school. What class was he supposed to pick? Enzo nodded and turned around, staring at the magic class bulletin. "Ahh, I'll go with destruction." Honestly, Enzo couldn't bare to look at it again, But he caught something in the corner of his eye. The class times. 10:00AM. He looked at his watch, and realized it was 9:55am! Enzo fastened his backpack, and allowed Kenji to safely hang onto it as both of them started to make their way to the staircase.
Once they made their way up the staircase to the second floor, Kenji speaks "Enzo, Did you get the scent of those two new students that just came in?" Enzo looked back at Kenji, who was now sitting upright on the backpack. "There's something very... odd about them." Kenji explained, zoning out. Enzo looks infront of him, and slightly down, indicating that he's in a deep state of thought. "You're right. Nobody's really that friendly around here. I wonder if we'll be alright at this school." Kenji taps him in the head to snap him out of his negative thought. "While that's true, everything is scary at first!" Kenji smiled, uplifting Enzo's spirit.
Volitaire sits on the roof of a smaller class building that's near the back of the school. "Emo kid...am I really emo to people? I mean, I know I'm a bit distraught about my family and all, but, emo? Way to hit a low blow, you monkey..." Volitaire rests his head on his hand and waits the hour away.
A little while afterwards, The school's magical classes were just finishing. But instead of taking a break at local spots in town, everyone gathered outside, behind the school, for a fight was to take place. Red stood in the center, with the Student's crowding around the area. The area itself was pretty spacious. A playground wasn't too far from it, so nobody could really let loose. Enzo emerged from the back of the school. Worry plagues his face and emotional self. "I'm worried about Volitaire." Kenji states. "I mean, Red isn't fearfully known for nothing, you know!" "I should help.." Enzo uttered silently. "What? you mean..." Kenji's animal body starts to shake with worry. "You promised you wouldn't.." Kenji said. His voice was starting to get wobbly. "I can't just stand and do nothing."
Volitaire descends with a a trailing black aura and has a very serious and focused look on his face. He eyes Red with anticipation and seems very much ready to take what's coming to him. He stands in the center and wait for Red to make his move. "I'm here. Like you asked. You have a chance to walk away, I can and will, rip your very essence from your body, Red. All I want is for you to stop pestering everyone here. I can feel their pain and not even go to this school." Volitaire faces forward ready to fight.
Red smiled wickedly. "I'll tell you what. You beat me, I'll leave every magician attending this school alone." The air was tense. The students weren't watching to cheer on Red. They all silently cheered for Volitaire, seeing as he's their only hope to stop his harassment.
"But, I f I win, I get to make an example out of you, as to why you should never try and defy me." 4 experienced magicians descend from the top of the school,
landing on each corner of their "arena". "These guys will make sure nobody stops us." Red explains."They're my loyal allies, who share the same goal as I do." Each of the defensive magicians were built, male, and had a large magical presence coming from them. They seemed to be physical wizards, having a standard sword with them. Having all that magical power in one spot was pressuring, if not risky on the human body.
Volitaire looked at them. "Fine. I don't need you running away. Look at these students. Their faces are ripe with anxiety. They want me to win. And I will do just that. You have no idea of the magical skill and knowledge I hold, Red. You are formidable, but nothing compared to what I have for you. You're no worth the spit I'd hack at your direction. Now show me why you're so fearsome." Volitaire pulled out a jagged 1-bladed sword from the thin air. It was black and looked very deadly. "Come on, you prick." Volitaire assumed a battling stance.
The two of them went through the day unnoticed, or so they thought with the only people who had noticed them was a fox. They attended class and barely made any conversation with anyone at Sorcerers. The only reason why they attended class properly was to watch the show at the end of the say. A battle between two students. This would help them examine the student body more carefully. "I'm in a bad mood. The girls here are just to regular for my taste. Had to give them a piece of my mind." If Ling could frown, he would, but his smile was the only thing plastered on his face. "I overheard while I was outside. It would have been wiser to simply ignore them." Joanne did not give a retort. The two arrived after the arena was set. Standing the furthest away, they were able to get a whole view of the crowd and the two fighters.
"That guy sure talks a lot. I feel like we're in some sort of movie with this development." Ling could not help but give his usual chuckle for the hilarity of the two "actors" preparing to battle. Joanne silently stood next to Ling, tapping her feet impatiently as the fight have yet to be started. "I've researched on this Red fellow while we were on break. He does have an amazing skills record. Pretty much acing all of his courses. The only problem about this one is he is terrible at charisma. Sure he have a few lackeys, but not anyone who is on the same level as him. Just simple followers in order to make sure that they aren't harassed." Ling peered at Joanne with very narrow eyes. "Oi, I hope you're paying attention. You need to keep this information in case we ever have a run in with him." Joanne stepped on Ling's foot as he bit the bottom of his lip. "Of course I'm listening. You're always ignorant about my attention span. I'm hoping that this fight ends fast. I don't want to be in this school for any time longer." Ling made a sarcastic remark about how painful her jab was. Ling then collected his cool once again and gave his kitsune smile. "Well, we don't necessarily have to be here you know. I already know the outcome of this match." Joanne gave a glance to Ling and turned her attention back to the arena. "We'll see about that."
"I like your attitude." Red's red sword rises straight up from the ground, sticking up with it's hilt. Red grabs it, and his veins glow a faint red, the magical power from the sword connecting with Red. He lifts it up with one hand, pointing it at Volitaire. "Point beam!" He shouted, as the bright redness of the sword quickly shifts from the hilt end to the tip of the large sword, bursting out of it as a beam of raw energy. Let's see you handle this simple attack. He thought.
Volitaire stood still and watched the beam draw closer, once in a close enough range his eye glew yellow. Two afterimages split from Volitaire and he vanished instantly, the beam fired off but the crowd moved just in time before it made impact. Volitaire remained hidden for a few moments before two undead rose from the ground at his feet from a showy depth and began pull him under.
"That's no good, welp." Red stabs his shining crimson sword into the ground. Nearby cracks start to light up. The ground itself started to warm up, as if it was about to boil.
Volitaire whizzes behind Red and makes a faint whisper in Reds ear before dashing off again. "God job taking the bait..." Volitaire dashes off again leaving a slit in Reds back from his sword. The undead at Red's feet fall into the black hole that Red had boiled up. Volitaire halts at the other side of the field and takes the blood off his sword from his index and middle finger and plots his next move.
Red doesn't wince from the pain, instead, he takes his sword out of the ground, and stands upright. Necromancy... I see now. Red holds his free hand out. His bones start to shift and change. "Beast form: Earth." And with that, Red's arm turns to stone, with some red essence flowing in in it to his fingers.
Red darts off towards Volitaire, dragging his sword on the ground as he goes. His sword starts to trail red energy from the tip. Once close enough, Red stops, and punches his stone arm into the ground. The floor underneath Volitaire starts to shake as large spikes cover the ground in his area.
Volitaire looks down and notices the ground. He jumps up and off the spikes and goes up into the air. He thought to himself, "Good endurance. It seems I'd have wear him out from the inside, I've got an idea." The blood that was in Volitaire's fingers became a mist as it began to lift from his fingers. He swiped his hand and a small mist-like bullet shot down to the Earth and covered over the whole field. He dived back down into the mist and camouflaged himself inside.
"This reminds me of why I always hated gloomy people." Red looks around, his gaurd up. The mist clouded his vision, but not his sword. Reds offensive energy couldn't mix with the black mist. Red smiles as he increases his magical energy. His body's outline starts to glow an eerie red. The bright red color pushes away the mist, allowing him to see, but also allowing him to be easily seen.
Blasts of black shadowy bolts are fired form multiple directions, disorienting Red. The black mist begins to reject his outward push and move back in around Red. Volitaire's voice could be faintly heard but left a odd echoing that made it hard to make out. "You're energy is admirable, but tell me. How is your memory? You manage to forget one thing, that open wound. Soon, you're blood cells will deteriorate at a slow but sure rate... Also, look under you..." A green pentagram takes shape, and green spiked chains coil around Red's wrists and ankles. The mist wavers away and Volitaire walks up with his sword in hand, he bangs over his eyes cover one but leaves another revealed, only to be a yellow glow, Volitaire seemed a bit darker in tone too. "Consume, from under to torment.." A purple light glew from the tip of Volitaire's sword and stretched sould travel in a wavey pattern into the wound. "This speeds up the process the Miasma is already doing. You can resist all you want. But you will die in a short time if you persist."
Red couldn't help but grunt at the pain he was receiving. So this is the power of Volitaire... Alright, old man, you win. Red's head stoops down as he looses consciousness. "Volitaire won!.. But, is Red going to be okay? Enzo said. Kenji only shrugged, too caught up in watching the fight. The crowd lit up with cheers, seeing as how Red was passed out from the pain.
Volitaire let out a brief chuckle. A bit relieved he won, but at the same time happy he gave payback that was due for all the students. "Afflictions are the fastest way to take someone down, Red. I'm sorry for the punishment, but I expected you to take more of that." Red draws the manifested spirits from Red and healed his wound."He should come to soon. I hope at least..." Volitaire walked over and found Enzo and Kenji. Volitaire petted Kenji and reassuringly told Enzo. "He shouldn't be botering anyone else. When he gets up, tell him I said it was a good one. And that he owes me for the healing. Good luck with the rest of the day, see you later." Volitaire waves again and takes his leave on his Icarus Wings, going back home.
"That was boring Ling. I thought you were betting on Red to take this battle?" Joanne looked over to Ling who just gave a small chuckle. "Of course Red would have had a better advantage with his skills. That was not all of his ability as I look through his record. He should have more powers in reserve. Another thing is he person he was fighting is the younger sibling of Einso Lucath. You might have heard of the Lucath family from the reports given." Joanne simply watched in silence, watching Voltaire exit the school. "Also there was one more person watching this match. If they went all out, who knows what would happen to this building." Ling had noticed that a very important person was watching the match. A certain Headmaster of the school. "Joanne, go on ahead. I have some business to take care of. I found a kid that caught my interest." Ling had his closed eyes focused on Enzo after seeing him being close to Voltaire. Joanne let out a hmph and walked out of the school carrying her gym bag.
Ling put on a very innocent expression and walked over to Enzo casually. "Excuse me sir, but I can't help but noticed you were talking to the winner of that fight. He was certainly amazing with all those magical skills. I did not expect to watch such an amazing spectacle on my first day here." Ling bent to Enzo's height to have them both face to face. Showing signs of sincerity to another schoolmate.
Heaven Eyes stood in the doorway to the back, watching the fight. "Well on the up side at least they're getting to use their magic.." She tilted her head. Sometimes it was hard to find a good thing out of an awful one, but she always managed to find a way. "I just hope they don't hurt themselves.."
She watched as the fight winded to the end with the red-headed boy losing and the other black-haired boy being the victor. She smiled because the fight was over, and that she wouldn't have to worry. It was odd that she could worry over someone even if she had never met them in her life. She would even worry over someone if they hated her. She crinkled her nose and sighed a little. "Hate is such a strong word though..Well there's nothing below hate so the only words to follow is like and love!" She cheered silently and went back into the school.
Volitaire walked home thinking about the fight. "He went down a bit easily... Did he throw it in? Or was I doing more than I intended? Either way, I hope this settles things. I hate using my affliction magics, they're so boring and slow. I bet the crowd wanted a bloodfest or something. Einso won't be happy to hear I made a fight... Ugh." Volitaire walked into the small shack and Einso was in the living room eating some venison from a deer he recently hunted. "Took your time giving him luck?" "Well...I kinda got in a fight." "A fight? With who?" "Some guy named Red. He was giving Enzo a hard time. I wanted to show him the error of his ways." "Did you win?" "You could say I did. I managed to make him pass out from the pain, I had to use affliction magic. He had great endurance on the physical side." "Frontal attacks wouldn't work?" "My sword wounded him but he didn't give any kind of reaction. The guy's pretty good." "He may have won if you didn't take another approach." "That's if you know who didn't decide to join in." "Mmm, you have a point. Like I said, you should invest in other schools of magic. Light, Ethereal, and Fire magics would've helped with someone like him." "How so?" "Light, to distract him and momentarily blind him. Ethereal, for cloning and magic walls. Fire to keep him back." "And if his husky ass could run though the fire?" "Magma." "Eh, it doesn't matter. It's over with. I just feel he threw it in." "Affliction magic has a lot more of an affect than you think, little brother. Remember that." Volitaire sat down and ate the rest of the roasting venison. Continuing to think to himself quietly.
Enzo, again, nearly jumped at yet another person suddenly appearing near him. "Y-yeah, we're old friends." Enzo said. It's those kids from earlier... Kenji stood on Enzo's backpack, watching Ling very closely, as he could sense something off with them. "Hey, Enzo, have you eaten anything today? We should check out the cafe here." Enzo looked back and nodded. "You're right, i'm starving, now that you mention it." Enzo waved goodbye to Ling without saying much, and the two of them walk back into the school, passing Heaven eyes.
"Idiot Enzo!" Kenji shouted. "Had he been any closer, he could have sensed your magical power."
"Yeah. The seal is wearing off, I can tell." Enzo looked down at himself and realized the pressure in his gut was all of his magic power stuck in one spot, but over the course of the day, it was growing. "I would say it was because of Red and Volitaire, but I think all the women did that." Kenji smiled slyly at Enzo. "Hey, what do you mean by that?! It's true I get nervous around them, but-" His sentence was interrupted by Kenji. "So, which one of them striked your fancy?" Kenji teased. Enzo only sighed as a response, as they got closer to the cafe on the first floor.
Ling's eyes opened up half as a dark smirk started to paint his face. He rummaged through his pack and pulled out a cell phone, dialing a very long number. "This is Ling, I have found someone interesting. Send me all information on..." He pulled out the student ID that he had swiped from Enzo when he bent down to him. "Enzo Ferrari." Ling listened to the person on the other line. "I just have a gut feeling that he could be a possible candidate for the organization, that's all." After clapping the phone off, he glance back at the picture of Enzo. "Looks like my original plan on staying out of people's way have changed. Enzo Ferrari, what is that power you possess?"
Chelsea walked out of the school and to the back, in the direction of her house. She held tightly onto her books, her head screeching with voices. She bit hard onto her lower lip as she continued to walk, and accidentally bumped into Ling. A darkened spark flashed from her, onto ling as her orange eyes flashed upward to the tall male then quickly away.
The voices were starting to sound more demanding. She needed to find some place isolated, and quick. 'Come play come play! Chelsea, the lovilest lovely come play with us, play with us!' She squeezed her eyes shut and started to quickly walk away. Why did it always have to happen around people? 'This way Chelsea, this way!' Her pace quickened. Sometimes she'd want to follow the voices, to see where they would lead her too. But she was always afraid. 'Always afraid' The voices mocked as she continued down the sidewalk.
Red had woken up in the nurses office a little while after he had passed out. Luckily for him, Nurses had healing magic, which could cure many different types of wounds and sicknesses. Fortunately for him, the nurse seemed to be out. Red got off of the bed he was placed on, and walked out of the office. It's been a while since i've been there. Red wondered. He limped his way to the third floor, and went into the headmasters room. The room looked like one of a principles, nice and simple, other than the back wall was a window to the back of the school.
"I did what you said, old man." Red said, closing the door behind him. Master was looking out the window, not facing Red. "I thank you for throwing the fight." "I don't care about your thanks, you just uphold your end on the deal." Red raised his voice. Master boone looked down in shame. "I keep my promises."
Meanwhile, Enzo submerged his face in the bowl of ramen, with Kenji doing the exact same, with a smaller bowl next to him. At the same time, they both lifted their head up, faces covered in ramen "Heheh, Ramen's the best." "Aye, but we aren't finished yet!" It seemed as they were racing, to find out who could eat the most food. Though even during this, Enzo's mind was wandering. All these people here in Sorcerers... Those.. females.. Enzo's magical power had grown a little, just from the thought. Kenji would have stopped him, if he were paying attention.
"Odd day for a fight." Nikola sighed. The girl didn't need his help and everyone else seemed to of had moved on. Two new guests appeared and he watched them for a short period of time before seeing the girl storm off. Then the man approached another, and Nikola lost interest. Class was going to be starting soon, and Red was now carted off somewhere.
Probably to the nurses's office. Did he really loose the fight? an eyebrow quirked up in interest. That's strange. He never looses fights. A sigh left his lips and he turned back down the hallway still helping the new students find their way around the school.
Daniel turned to Nickola, the fight had caused an uncomfortable prickle to craw across his skin and as he shook his head to clear his mind sleepiness appeared like a thief in the night. "Hey where are the dorms and do I have a room mate?"
Heaven eyes made her way down the hallway, yet again bumping into a tall boy with short blonde hair. This time though she caught herself before she fell and just stumbled back a little. "Oh, I'm so clumsy today!" She cheered as she looked at the male. "I'm sorry about that! My head is in the clouds today it seams."
She laughed briefly and stood there, smiling as her pale blue eyes wandered over the two males that were standing there.
Soon, Enzo and Kenji had finished their meal. Some students that were also present at the cafe stared in awe. Kenji hopped off of the table for a second, leaving Enzo to continue wondering. Then he returned with a flyer in his mouth. He dropped it infront of Enzo. It read: NOTICE FOR ALL NEWLY STARTING STUDENTS: You must take a ranking exam before actually being counted as a level 1 magician. Then, you may perform level 1 missions and jobs, archived here in Sorcerers. Speak to Master Boone to confirm the test. "Someone at the lobby were giving these out, we need to take this exam!" Kenji said cheerfully.
"Yeah, I guess we should go talk to the master then!" Enzo said, as he stood up and stretched. Kenji took his spot on Enzo's backpack, and they both went off to the headmaster's room.
On the way there, Kenji was messing around with the contents Enzo's backpack contained. He seemed as if he was starting to panic. Kenji poked his head out of the backpack. "Enzo! Where's your student ID?" Enzo stopped, and checked his pockets. "I.. don't know?" He replied. Kenji shot out of the backpack and landed onto Enzo's head. "It was that creepy guy!" The fox shouted out. "I knew he was odd!"
Enzo looked up to the fox. "If thats so, how will we get it back?" Kenji became dumbfounded. "Good point, You can't fight without using THAT."
Ling and Joanne stood outside of the Headmaster's office. They had unpacked their stuff at the apartment before coming back to do the exam that was mandatory during the first day. "You know, if you keep being impatient, your hair will fall out due to stress." Joanne was not listening to Ling as she just leaned her back on the wall. Ling just simply stood there swaying back and forth, awaiting for their turn. The two of them were pretty much zoned out of the other student's area due to their strange aura. Nobody dared to approach them and the two did not mind and care. "Geez, this is taking rather long. We should have been exempt from this thing because of our privilege status. So troublesome."
"I guess i'll just have to tell the master that I lost it." Enzo continued walking up the stairs. Once he reached the headmasters office, He saw a small crowd of people starting to gather to sign up for the exam. Then, he noticed Ling and Joanne. Kenji got close to Enzo's ear, so that nobody else could hear them. "There's the guy who took it, i'm sure of it. Go get it back." Enzo gulped. He hated getting into tense situations. He looks like a nice person, though... And her, Enzo's eyes shift to Joanne. She doesn't look nice at all, oh god... Enzo held his head, a terrible headache plagued him. Though his fit is making himself more noticable.
Ling looked to the side and saw Enzo approaching towards the office. He simply put on his friendliest smile and waved over to Enzo. "Enzo, over here. I saved a spot for you." He was pointing to a newly made space between Joanne and him. Joanne glared over to Enzo and turned her head away, uninterested in the person Ling was calling out. "Relax Joanne, you will still go first, I'll let Enzo go before me."
Before Enzo could open his mouth to protest, Kenji spoke before him. "That's pretty nice of you! Let's go Enzo." Enzo was slightly shaking. He walked over to the spot that was saved for him. Kenji.. What are you doing? He thought. His magical presence started to grow the longer he stood next to Joanne. His mind started to flood with worries and past troubles. On the other hand, Kenji tried his hardest to focus on the two that was beside them. "So what are your names?" Kenji asked.
"Yeah, introductions are to be made. I'm Ling Yuan He and that sourpuss over there is Joanne Heartland. You could at least say hi to our guest." Joanne turned her back to Enzo before Ling had started talking. Ling made a pouty face but changed it back to a smile. "If you want to know what to call me. Ling is fine. In Chinese, you would have needed to call me Ling Yuan, but that is a mouthful don't you think?" Ling was rummaging through his pockets. "You don't have to introduce yourself to me Enzo. I already know your name." He pulled out his Student ID and had it out for him. He started rubbing the back of his head and bowed a bit frantically. "When I walked up to you, I saw your ID on the floor and was going to return it to you. But you had already disappeared from our sight. I'm so sorry that I had kept it with me. I should have returned it to the lost and found. Sorry. But you know, it's good that I ran into you here though, now I can return your ID. It must have been weird for me to call out to you when I'm just a complete stranger." Ling was still bowing lightly and Joanne just kissed her teeth in annoyance for Ling's behaviour. She had no intention to entering the conversation between the two.
Enzo took his ID card, and looked at it. "T-thanks." Enzo's frantic self was calming down a little. "You'll have to excuse Enzo, He's terrible with crowds and girls." Suddenly, Enzo spoke up. "Hey! Don't go around telling my business!" Kenji was taken back from Enzo's tone. The seal broke. Kenji thought as an intense source of magic energy was felt pulsating from Enzo. Enzo noticed, and started to panic. "I'..I'll be right back!" Enzo darted off to the restrooms, which was fortunately not too far from the spot he was in. He goes into the men's room, and reaches into his pocket. He takes out a bottle of red pills and takes a single pill. "Enzo, pull yourself together. It isn't that bad." Kenji stated. Enzo took the pill and looked at Kenji. "You know this is tough on me right now." He said. "Dont make it any worse." Kenji nodded in acceptance, and the two of them exited the men's room, returning to his spot. His magical presence was dwarfed back to being undetectable.
