Hellooooo Ardent.
Lumine here... err.. reporting for duty?
Hello Lumine!
Good, good. Barasa steps even closer to his inevitable doom at the hands of elven lasses. >: D
-rubs hands together-
how are you this fine evening?
Apart from busy and distracted. xD I'm alright. Potentially depraved of whatever sanity I have. Buttt all is well and good for now.
Bwah, Barasa. Haa. Well he needs something to, well, actually no. I'll just sit here and wait in fear for his 'inevitable doom'.
He has to come and get it. >: D
-lures him in closer with a twitch of the finger-
Hahaa xD once Enris has posted. Probs x-x Bah. -hides Barasa- I can't protect you long! ;x;
Anyway how is your evening fairing?
We can smell the library from here!
It's going alright. I leave for work very early tomorrow (it's a long drive until we move in a month or two) and am really nervous. :x
x-x lmao
Oh goodness, D; I wish you luck!
Mm... library~ *sniff sniff*
Do you have those first day butterflies, Eden? :p
I do have them. So many butterflies. ._. I always have trouble sleeping before a big day, too...
Tonight is gonna be rough then huh? I'm the same way and have yet to figure a way to deal with it so... I can't offer any advice than. Embrace the fact you'll probably only sleep for 3 hours.
At least I slept in this last night and got plenty of sleep. And there's plenty of coffee! And at least there's unlikely to be real work on the first day, just training. And it's the sit down kind of training. And a sexual harassment seminar for some reason, they do it on the first day for new employees. Maybe because they employ a lot of guys who don't know how to act around women? XD
I've gotta say... that's kind of hilarious. ><
"Hi. My name is Gregg." *shakes hands with boob*
"DAMMIT I'M DOING IT WRONG AREN'T I?!"
And that is how first day sexual harassment seminars began. xD Seriously I have never heard of this lol. Good lord! You only shake hands with boobs in Canada, dammit.
This is why I should move to Canada. America, we just high five with our shlongs... girls do it with their metaphorical shlongs.

WTF. I need to stop making up terrible things. >.> I'm going to get a reputation as "The Weird/Inappropriate One."
As a Canadian... I can only say.... wtf?
I'm Canadian too. And somehow half the people I know online are Canadian. xD Nonsense, Schiz, we all have that reputation here.
Lumine, what part of Canada you in?
lol Most Canadians I know online are from Ontario. x-x Only met one or two from Alberta, one on this site.
Alberta. Though I'm heading further west in due time. BC calls for me. Where you from?
My family's from Quebec but I'm raised in California. They all speak french but I ignored them as a kid so didn't pick any up. ._. [/pained regrets] Boyfriend and I are dying to visit Canada sometime. I think we both want to move there. xD I'm afraid aside from Quebec, though, I don't know two cents about the difference between the provinces.
Uh... this is off topic but I've been meaning to ask this FOREVER.
Eden, your icon? What's goin' on there?
Umm... well put it to you this way. Alberta is the Texas of Canada... and teh rest of the country hates us xD Quebec is a dick of a province who always wants money but insists on wanting to seperate from Canada andddd Ontario is stuffed with liberals, BC - pot junkies and hippies who hate Albertans for the oilsands... and... the rest of em you don't hear much about xD Where I am anyway. And... yeah had to take french immersion for about 9 years. Still managed to forget some of the language x-x;; It's strained, though I can understand it a heck of a lot better than I can speak it.

But if you want to move out here... I would suggest BC xD Beautiful province.
@Schizo: You asked! It's from this.

@Lumine: Thank you, that helps a lot. xD Not exactly the sort of thing you'd get from Wikipedia! I love how Canadians know as much about the U.S. as we do, but we don't know anything about Canada. You're all just so....mysterious. xD
God which drama is that from? x-x;;
lol it's called Social class. Our history's so lame we have to learn about everyone else. I swear grade seven and eight, we're stuffed up on American History to the point where I wanted nothing to do with it. European culture is soo much more appealing. x-x;; Granted, the school systems vary. That was more or less my experience on it.
Anyway you're welcome ^.^ Any questions about Canada, I can try to help, specially if you're thinking more about moving out here.
It's not really something that'd ever happen in the next 5 years ago, so eh. xD I've plenty of people to go for, for advice about Canada.
Man, I can't imagine how much it'd suck to have to spend so much of history class on other countries! Then again, that's for the better, much more well rounded and less patriotic...
Hahahaa if you think Canadians aren't all that patriotic xD think again. All that learning about other countries induces a pride in our own culture and how... much 'better' it is. x-x;; Speaking in general terms anyway.
---------- Post added at 07:25 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:22 PM ----------
But I suppose there is pros and cons to it... I'm just feeling cynical at the moment x-x;;
Well, that's a better route to patriotism than... ONLY AMERICAN HISTORY ALL THE TIME EVERY TIME. AND IT'S ALL PERFECT SFKHDFSHDFJHDS derp
...you can tell I don't like how public schools teach history...
WHAT. O_O Lolololol.
*Knows nothing about Canada other than they have a hockey team called The Canucks!* (I'm terrible.)
I don't think I can really blame you there Eden. I may not like learning American or Canadian history, but learning about other countries and different perspectives once I got into high school made the course quite worth while. Having awesome teachers helps that along.
lol Schiz xD S'all good. We're not all that different from the states... people wise anyway.
I can add that history teachers seem to always be the best ones... maybe that is because I like history but I've never had a bad one. Every math teacher I've had though has been insane.
lol one of the math teachers at my school was a total pot head, used to jump onto his desk and break out into song... if he wasn't throwing erasers and rulers at the students. But I agree, the History/Social Studies teachers are usually the best. ;x; I miss my social teacher. Short Ukranian woman. Absolutely adorable, she dressed up as Lady Gaga for Halloween xDDD ..... -unnecessary babbling-
I love Literature teachers myself. And in my American Public school, we learned world history as well as American History. Although in college, I learn western art history which is actually almost more educational about history than history class was lol.
