"Thank you.." I said, tears running down my cheeks. "You dont know how happy I am.. to get away from there."
I gently wiped away her tears. "Please.. Don't cry.." I whispered sadly.
"Sorry." I said. And I looked up at him. "They are more happy tears than sad." I said, looking around. "Can you tell me.. what its like to be what you are?" I asked
I sat her down on the couch with me. "Well.. My senses are sharpened, and I have to take at least 2 showers a day because it feels gross sometimes. And yeah.. The fleas suck sometimes."
I looked up, and chuckled softly, didnt sound as great as I thought. "You were born one, right?" I asked.
I nodded. "Yes. Reuben was bitten when he was 4."
"If you get bit, you turn into one?" I asked. I rubbed my neck, wondering if the whole 'marking' thing was true, also.in the book I had read.
"If you're bit by a pure one. If Reuben were to bite someone, they wouldn't change. And the change only happens if we bite small children."
I nodded. "I see. Thats interesting." I said. "And.. is the whole. Marking thing true? " I asked. I should stop talking..
((I don't know what that is.))
(Its when the guy bites her, and it leaves a mark, meaning rhat she is taken, and that other males should back off.)
((Ooh))
I nodded. "Yeah." I answered, leaning back.
I nodded. "Wow." I said. I looked atvthe time, seeing it was 5. "Are you sure that its okay that I stay here?" I asked. Ibreally didn't want to intrude. And its winter break now. I couldnt..
"Of course. You have the greatest protection, a pack of werewolves. If you were a normal girl, then Ambrose would have kicked you out.. But seeing as you're my mate.."
I nodded. "Okay.." I looked up, to see Ashton walk in. That bastard. He looked at me, then at Rainer with surprise in his eyes.
(Uh.. Why would he walk into the werewolve's cabin?...)
(Well he is a wolf. From the other neighboring clan. Sorry. Should have clarified..)
((I'm confused. If he's from another pack, then why would he go into their cabin?)
(To deliver news from the alpha ofthe other pack. Ah, scratch it. Nevermind.)
"I see." I said, nodding. I looked out the window, to see the snow was coming down hard. "Wow.." I said softly, standing, and looking out the window. I loved snow.
I smiled and watched her. "You like the snow?" I asked.
"I love it." I said, looking over at him. "Do you?" I asked. I felt this really strong connection with him. I really did.
(After the first kiss, the bond gets stronger, and then they can feel eachothers emotions. And when they mate, and he marks her, they are able to communicate through their minds to eachother. So its like steps pretty much.)
I nodded. "Yeah. I prefer the cold. With the fur, I'm warm anyways. But in the summer it gets really hot and it just sucks."
"Summer sucks." I said. "Want to have a snowball fight?" I asked, turning to him, smiling. I felt I could be myself around him. I was just getting to know him better. I wanted to see him smile, have fun.
I smiled. "I have a better idea." I took her hand and led her outside. "Jump on my back." I instructed.
I loved his smile. "Why?" I asked, but I jumped on anyway, knowing I was probably like a feather to him.
I grinned and I began to run. I then jumped in the air and transformed. I landed and barked at her to hold on tightly as I ran with her on my back.
I held onto him. He was a huge wolf, about the size of a horse. I looked around the forest, it rushing by me quickly. I loved it. This free feeling.
I jumped over logs and dashed around trees. A few minutes passed by and I finally stopped. My fur blended in with the snow well.
I slowly got off him. And him just standing was almost taller than me. "Wow. You really are amazing." I said, and I brushed some snow off a log and sat down.
I snuggled by her feet and looked up at her, panting slightly. I rested my chin on her lap.
