I think we all put a little of ourselves into our characters. Makes them easier to play. Also, I don't think we can help it lol. And I think Alcy and Deryn will be alright, as long as Cas is off shooting someone else lol.
I don't think I could have played an elf. I can't do the constantly mean demeanor lol.
It's a challenge for me, but that was one of the reasons I was so eager in playing an elf. They had a lot of characteristics that I don't play often. I also really enjoy playing a character that isn't easy liked, (which is why I have recently been trying to play unlikable or evil characters in other games). Being easily liked makes for a boring experience these days for me. Characters with a lot of flaws make for a not so easy experience, and adds more depth... in the sense that if you can manage to see the glimpse of good in the character she may seem more approachable. I keep in mind nobody has seen her at work yet, which will be a completely different experience.
But for the most part I look at Cas and Deryn much like kittens who can't help but scrap. It's not like Deryn could actually bring herself to hurt her friend, but she'd certainly pull little pranks like cutting off a chunk of her pretty hair! If you think about it they have only been on this earth for a few years so it's kind of like shoving all those emotions/troubles/expectations at a kid.

I love how pretty much everyone thinks Alcy's too young. Even the elves that are less than half her age.
I know, when really she is an adult... and she has skill that surpasses people even older than her. I think if anything it would be the crew being envious of her having made such an accomplishment at her prime. xD
I don't know why this popped into my head but has anyone ever heard of "short man syndrome" in the sense that when you see someone acting really tough when they are shorter than average it's usually because they are trying to make up for their short stature. Oh Deryn ;_;
I've heard of a Napoleon complex? xD
I'm pretty sure it's the same thing, maybe my mom made up the syndrome title xD
lol they're the same thing. >_> Had to learn about it a bit in psychology. xD Now that I think about it, it ties a bit into Barasa's personality. Or his childhood anyway. Though being short wasn't as big of a deal as being physically different from his brother's in general. xD But he made up for it in... books!
Ha ha yeah, the alcy age thing is turning into a much bigger deal than I thought lol. But hey, makes rp more interesting.
Also, she's trying to make the right allies to piss cas off as much as she can (cain and now enris lol)

Yes, I just feel the need to warn you that messing too much with "The Assassin" may have potential consequences and you shouldn't get OOC upset if there is a consequence. And by too much I mean actually screwing her over big time, not just messing around. : P She and The Innate are supposed to be some of the deadliest of the deadliest, remember?

@Brook: It really varies. "Prejudice against Innates" isn't really written in the lore anywhere, except when it comes to elves. The tendency is for people in power to use them for their own purposes (ie slavery) and for people not in power to fear them. But it's more of a personal experience thing than a general rule. There is certainly no institutional hatred/discrimination/oppression targeted specifically towards Innates, but distrust/etc probably has a lot to do with how rural/urban a place is. Aside from Seboet, though, there's no big cage for mages.

I've imagined that for some other roleplays xD A little bit for Ardent, but I've found the ones I've been in longer are easier to imagine like that. But... tis awesome, tis awesome.

...favourite RPs. x____x WELL, apart from the lovely Ardent xD, I'm absolutely stupid for Dystopian City which has been ongoing for almost two... years with a very close friend. (apart from the fact that she went and moved on me D;<) Basically a cyberpunk world focusing on street dwellers and homeless and gangs and scary people xD. I probably have about twenty different characters for it. x-x But it's slow goingg... Apart from that there's another I'm doing with the same person on paper... but seeing as she lives sixteen hours away it's on a standstill. xD
