/me waves excitedly to lumine
nooooo come back <3
;-;
Hi-bai, Lumine.
Today has been a pretty busy day for everyone I believe.
Yeah, even me. I never have busy days. xD
So far no reply from Dorian. ._.
Are you gonna be super busy once your job starts up?
...also, I'm working on Deryn's Playlist~
I'm gonna be gone during the day but evenings/weekends/maybe mornings/if I get a netbook, lunchbreaks I'll be available.
I really want to buy back my old Acer Aspire but the lady who has it loves it. ._.
I need to do something worth while today. D:<
*determined*
Ugh, holy hell. Alright, I'm not dead, and I'm not an invalid, though anyone who says that traveling 2600 miles in four days by car is a good idea needs an extra breathing hole right below their sternum. Now...where were we?
I like how I'm such a cheap person the first thing I thought about when you said that was,
Ah gahd, the gas... so much gas money for 2600 miles.

Oh and yay! You're not dead!
Yeah. In a UHaul that gets 13 to the gallon? Highway? Bad news.
But yeah, not dead. And I'm super excited about that one. So, awesome.
Good lord, Dorian. I've driven 700 miles before, and that was bad enough. Where in god's name did you drive to, and why?! xD
Monterey, CA to a place I'm not at liberty to divulge. They say jump...
But it's all good. I'm settled in and have internet (YAY) and my job should be pretty lax for a while. Which means fun Ardent times, please?
Ack, that's no fun. Too bad they don't at least help you move. Road trips are fun, though--did you at least get to do it with a friend? Fun Ardent times indeed! You'll have to meet our new medic, though I guess he's shy about posting in OOC. ;)
They threw a wad of money at me, promised me more. That was enough help. But yeah, a she-friend of mine also got the call to jump, so we loaded all of our stuff into a UHaul and took off. Hell of a trip. Most fun I'll never want to have again.
Cool, we have a medic. Need someone to whipstitch us all back together at some point I suppose. But he should come out of the woodwork and hang about with us. Lurking is for chumps. I should know. In a past life I was a habitual lurker...
Well, I hope you at least got to pass through the lovely northwest. Though can't imagine why. Road trip that viciously avoids the mid-states? I hope the two of you at least got some good diner food out of it.
If you ever do happen to pass through southernmost Oregon, just near the border in Grant's Pass is a fascinating little place. Great Cat's World Park or something. Maybe more interesting to someone like me, but it's quite a pleasure to see hand-raised great cats encouraged to act naturally instead of juggling balls or whatever. Okay, maybe not juggling balls, but...
The first time I went there, my mother and I saw a very, very tiny baby serval that was being nursed by one of the caretakers. And we got to play around with a little baby black leopard. Second visit with my boyfriend, serval was old enough to play with and the leopard was old enough to not play with ever. It was also a tad amusing to see a tiger swipe at some teenagers dumb enough to get close, though it wouldn't have been so amusing if he hadn't missed...
Apparently it's the place where a lot of "big cat" photography comes from--they just let them loose and tell the photographers good luck. : P
As for the medic's player, apparently he's swamped with work (Schizo's his RL friend) and may not be able to make his first post for a while. We'll live. Cas will continue to resent the mystery medic for not being Aleta, though.
That. Sounds. AWESOME. When I get the chance to go back to Portland, you'd better believe that I'll be dipping down that way to see the gigantic kitties.
Not going to lie, all of these new people on Fort's crew have big shoes to fill. And I think its better if they know about it.
No one can replace Aleta. She had wrenches, dammit. :'3
Oh, they certainly should. Someone should put little post-it notes around the office reminding them that they'll never live up to the old crew.
It was indeed awesome. I'll see if I can drudge up any pictures, though unfortunately they're only from the first visit. Wish I'd brought a camera on the second one--kid serval dragging a snake plushie around was too cute. Boyfriend stealing it from him was cuter.
She was our wrench-wench. The only one who could fix us up, then turn around and either patch up the ship or Belo's arm. Hilarious, stuff.
You can be catty. Fort'll probably just forget who he's yelling for sometimes. He's old. Leave him alone.
Fort: Belo!?
Enris: >:-(
Fort: Fuck. Right. Enris!?
Captain's in charge, he can just rename the new guys if he wants. Right, what's your name? Nevermind that, it's Belo now. Head to the medical bay, "Aleta" will take care of that arm.

500th post! Jesus we talk too much. I'm sure 1/3 of these posts are mine. Anyway, I'll be holding off from posting so others get a chance to jump into the conversation. I think Cas is too buzzed to really contribute much to the conversation at this point. Maybe she's trying to take Belo's place...
We're heading to the AFK Tavern again tonight. Unfortunately, no zombie night this time...
We're way too good at this chatting about game. I need to work my way up out of the NPC doldrums anyway...
I have GOT to get up there again. This place is without a decent bar. WITHOUT. And I always feel like an alcoholic mixing my own drinks at home, drinking alone and all...I should get to making friends and invite them over so that I feel better...
Hey, remember when Cas was all like "Oh Fort, don't drink or smoke, you's gonna die!" And Fort was all like "STFU." Yeah. Lecture me now, elf-wench!
I couldn't really say whether it's better than other bars, but if you do ever find yourself in the Everett area, I'd definitely recommend it! But maybe don't try any of their game-themed drinks. I have yet to try one of their custom drinks that doesn't taste like (interesting) medicine... :x
Just try not to invite over any murderers or stalkers. This is good advice I'm giving here.
I am so not looking forward to my first day of work tomorrow...
<---- Harmit. O__O;
I should really get out more, these places sound awesome! Also, Fort bearing senile characteristics is hilarious to me... but as long as Deryn doesn't get stuck with the nickname Cain Jr. she should be fine. Although it would be funny if she was assumed to be the younger of the two elves. I feel like that would be something that'd easily get on her nerves. "I'm the older one, dammit!"
You guys used to have a wrench-wench?! I'm bummed I never got to meet her. D:

Why not, Eden??
((Something plastic just fell in my mouth. what the hell...)))
I think you mean wrench-wench. Not wrench-wrench. Though I think Aleta was that, too. xD
Cas'll jingle those old earrings in her hand. "Sure you are, dear."
Fort needs to stop getting old. It's too sad! Live forever, Fort. :{
Hahaha, that's what I meant. Ugh I've been an overwhelming wave of mess today. It took me forever to write a post in my zombie game because I kept writing things backward and then when I was talking to my neighbors I tried to use the phrase, "Imitation is the highest form of flattery." and awkwardly stumbled with "Flattery is... imitation...eh...." and had to be helped along. My brain is a mess. Although I did just break apart my old table that I used as a desk like a champ! *flexes muscles*
Did you...break it...on purpose? xD
Ack, that doesn't sound fun at all. It's worst for me when I'm being talked to and I just want to type before the words go away. ._. Maybe you need a nice cup of coffee? : D
-offers rp solidarity hugs-
Yes, poor thing was on it's last leg anyway... it was begging to be put out of it's misery. And I had to bring it down a flight of stairs so instead of waiting for mr. manly man who does everything because he's a man get home I decided to go at it with a hammer and crack the legs off of it so I could take them down separately on my own. ^_^
I'm impatient and I hate when guys are like "Just wait and let me do it." And then they go and do stuff and procrastinate until it's to late and the piece of junk never gets moved. [/rant]
A couple shots of espresso sound like a damn good idea. OHdfkjsfdsmg.... post got eaten by the time space continuum for Ardent. I swore this was never going to happen to me!!

Yes! I went back and went forward back and forth so many times it posted it! Oh I love internet physics! :D
Wait, what exactly happened? XD
Your post disappeared and then randomly reappeared? Awesome. x3
Someone suggested Lazarus as a way to save what you write in forms, I've been using it and it seems to work well enough. Hasn't gotten in my way while typing but it appears to save everything for me. Then again I haven't lost a post since getting it, so it's yet to be truly tested...
Heading out to lunch, have a good one folks~
I loved how Deryn doesn't hint that it might be lho-seed. That leaves just Alcy to answer for her crimes. Poor Alcy. xD
Yeah, Deryn held back with purpose in mind! ;D
But what happened with the post is my internet slowed down at the exact moment I went to submit and then I got hit with white page of nothingness so I did the usual arrow back approach and it didn't work! So I thought I lost it all but then I went back and arrowed back and forward so many times it reappeared and submitted itself. I was pleased to say the least. Have a nummy lunch Eden~! See ya!
Bad Deryn! Well...good elf. I'm so proud of her. :'D
That's...uhm...that's weird. xD But a lucky break at least.
Lunch was alright, we decided to go to a buffet and big surprise on a Sunday midday it was packed. But my WORD was it packed!
