I gently touched her cheek. I suddenly felt really sad. "This is going to sound weird.. But pinch your arm." I needed to know for sure.

"This isnt a joke.." I said softly, and I looked up at him, and I blinked Away my tears, to see he was dead serious. I pinched my arm. "Okay? There? How did that help anything." I said, resting my head on the desk, wincing from my side pain.

I felt the prickling on my arm. I furrowed my eyebrows. "Okay.. Hey, look at me.." I said gently. "Tell me if you feel a prickling." I pinched my upper thigh.

I gasped, and my hand flew to my thigh.. it was weird.. I nodded slowly. "I.. felt it. How did you..." I asked, looking up at him..

I frowned and looked out the window. "I'll explain after school." I mumbled. I can't believe it.

Whatever it was he made it sound bad. I sat therw quietly the whole hour, and then the day was over after all of that. Where was Rainer? I waited by the school doors for him.

I walked out with Reuben and Christian. I nodded at Elsa. "Follow us.."

I looked up at the large guys, snd I followed behind them. Where were we going? I didnt care, I mean, anywhere is better than my home right now.

We went to the woods and met up with the rest of the pack. I kept Elsa next to me. Ambrose, bit in an apple and studied her. "Looks like Rainer found his mate."

I stayed beside him, and I moved closer as we approached the group of people. "Rainer.. what does he mean?" I asked him, looking up.

"It's like.. A soulmate I guess.. We're connected. We can feel each other's emotions and know when either of us are in pain..." I said, looking down at her.

"Wh..What?" I asked, looking up into his eyes. "But. Thatd impossible. Thats only with Werewolves." I said, shaking my head.

I frowned and crossed my arms. "How would you know about werewolves?" Ambrose asked, standing up.

"A book I've read before taked about them.. how they get a mate and.. yeah.." I said. Why does it matter? "Are you guys werewolves?" I asked, laughing, wondering why no one was also laughing with me.

We all exchanged looks. I went behind a tree and took off my clothes so I would have clothes to put on when I transformed back. I transformed into a white wolf and I patted out, sitting at her feet, my nose nudging her hand.

I stood there, shocked.. I stepped back when he nuzzled my hand.. I wasnt sure if I was scared or not.. I relaxed and took a step forward, letring my fingers run through his fur.. "Oh my god.."

I licked her hand, and then I laid at her feet. "You can literally see the chemistry between you." Christian said with a nice smile.

I nodded, still shocked. I leaned down, and looked at Rainer.. he was my.. mate? But wasnt it bad since I was human? "How does this happen.. I mean.. im human.. "

"I don't know.. It's pretty rare.." Ambrose mumbled. I got up and went behind the tree. I transformed and put clothes on before I walked back out.

When he came back, I reached out and took his hand. The tingles and sparks that traveled up my arm, made me smile. "Wow." I said, and I felt my phone buzzing in my pocket, I answered. "Hello?" "GET YOUR SORRY ASS HOME RIGHT NOW! YOURE.GOING TO GET BEAT SO HARD TH" I quickly hung up, praying no one heard. "I.. have to get home."

I frowned. "Was that your father?" I squeezed her hand. "Don't go. I don't want you to get hurt." I whispered.

I looked up at him, and sighed. "Okay." I said, and I pulled him aside, so we didn't have an audience. "My dad scares me Rainer.. all of these things.. hes done to me.." I said

I gently hugged her. "I won't let him hurt you anymore." I whispered.

I hugged him, wincing as my side hurt from it. I didnt care.. I looked up as snow began to fall. It was very cold out right now.. "Theres things I have to show you, can we go inside?" I asked him. Since he is my mate.. he had to know about my bruises..

I nodded. "Yeah." I took her inside of the cabin the pack and I lived in. "What's up?" I asked.

"Look.." I said softly, and I lifted my shirt slightly to show the purple and blue bruises along my stomach.

I frowned and gently ran my fingertips across her bruises. "I'm so sorry.." I whispered.

"It hurts.. all the time. I cant go back there.." I said softly, lookingdown.

"You don't have to." I said, hugging her gently and closing my eyes.
