I nodded. "Well, that's great! Good luck to you both. Now come, Annabelle, I hope you like Italian." I grinned. "It's my favorite." I walked with her to the kitchen and helped her cook.

I nodded. "Well, that's great! Good luck to you both. Now come, Annabelle, I hope you like Italian." I grinned. "It's my favorite." I walked with her to the kitchen and helped her cook.
I smiled, and followed and leaned in the doorway. My mom loved cooking Italian, she was half herself, and that made me a quarter, but wasnt that noticable. "Pasta?" I asked my mom. "Maybe." She said, smiling.
(What's Jay's last name?)
I helped her cook and set the table, then while his mother was finishing up, I got engaged in a hiking conversation with his father. "Have you ever went hiking out of the country?" He asked me. "My father and I used to go rock climbing and hiking in some part of Europe once a year. My favorite was the year we hiked in the Alps in Germany." His father looked up at Jay. "I like her!"
(Armstrong.)
I chuckled, and nodded. "Me too, Dad." I was finding out so many new things about her. I really was enjoying this. "Jay, when you left. I had found this. Your old song book. Since you want to start the band, youll need some songs. These ones are amazing." She said, handing me my old book. "Wow.. I forgot about this thanks Mom." I said, flipping theough the pages as I aat down at the dinner table. I set itdown, and looked at the food. "This looks great." I said, rubbing my hands together.
I smiled and sat across from Jay, next to Mrs. Armstrong. I took a bite of the delicious pasta. "Your cooking is amazing Mrs. Armstrong." I complimented sweetly. "Why thank you dear!" She said, with a blush on her cheek. I glanced over at Jay and winked. "I wanna see that book later." I said with a chuckle.
Dinner was fun, I really enjoyed it. We all just sat around , talked and ate. It was great. We all moved to the piving room after cleaning up and just went around sharing funny stories. And pretty soon, it was very late. "Im going to head to bed, Jay show Annabelle where you guys will sleep." My mom said and gave me a kiss on the cheek. "Goodnight you two." She said with a smile.
I smiled. "Goodnight Mrs. Anderson." When she walked away, I took Jay's hand and kissed his cheek. We went to the bedroom and Canada curled up in the corner, already asleep. I smiled and wrapped my arms around his neck, looking into his eyes. "Your parents are really sweet." I whispered.
I smiled as she took my hand and I walked to the bedroom with her, I swt my songbook down and I wrapped my arms around her waist, and pulled her to me and I kissed her lips softly. "I missed them so much. I cat wait to meet yours." I said slowly letting go and closing the door, I changed into pajamas, which was just sweats and no shirt for me. I laid down in the bed. Oh the memories in this room.. good and bad.
I changed into shorts and a tank top and I crawled in bed with him. I snuggled close to him and took his hand , intertwining our fingers. "Well, my parents aren't nearly as nice as yours." I said, closing my eyes and sighing softly.
My brows furrowed. "They arent? Why?" I asked, pulling her close to me and I kissed her forehead softly, as I closed my eyes, but was still listening.
"They're pretty.. Strict." I said with a shrug. "They might've changed.. But I doubt it. especially after I left everyone and everything for Dustin." I shook my head. "Goodnight."
"You never know.. if it dont work out, im here for you." I said, and I kisses her shoulder before falling asleep, pulling the covers over us.
The next morning I woke up before Jay and took a quick shower. I joined Mrs. Anderson downstairs to have a cup of coffee, and then she asked me questions and I answered them. "So what do you do musically?" She asked me. "Well, I mainly sing. I also know how to pay the piano and guitar, and naturally, the violin. But not nearly as well as my mother." She asked me to play her a song on the grand piano and I did. She sat next to me and I began to play a song by Beethoven.
I woke up the next morning, I heard beautiful music playing. I put a shirt on and ran my hands through my hair to tame it a bit. I walked downstairs and into the living room to see Annabelle playing the piano, my mom watching with a smile.
After a few minutes, I finished and looked at Mrs. Armstrong. "That was Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata." I said. She smiled. "It was beautiful honey." I grinned. "Thank you!"

"That was great." I agreed with my mom. "You can cal me Jane, honey." She said, touching Annabelles shoulder. "Oh! Morning Jay. Would you guys like some breakfast?" She asked, and walked to the kitchen. "Yes please mom." I said.
I blushed and looked up at Jay, standing up quickly and smoothing down my black skirt. "How much did you hear of that?" I asked, embarrassed.
"Most of it." Isaid, chuckling. I walked over and kissed her softly. "Dont be embarrassed." I said, hugging her. "Is your side almost completely healed?" I asked more quietly.
I nodded. "Yeah. It's still a little sore but I'll be okay." I said with a smile, pecking his cheek.
(Sorry, ate dinner)
"Im glad youre getting better." I said. "Here." I said, handing her my song book. "Want to look over it?"
I smiled and sat down, looking over some of his songs. "Wow... They're so good.. And so sad.. Were you going through a dark time?" I asked, looking up at him.
I sighed, and nodded. "Yes. I was." I said, and left it at that. I'd tell her later. I glanced over, seeing a picture of my and my old friend David. I walked over to the picture , and picked it up. I missed him. I felt so responsible for his death. No, be happy now.. I quickly set it down. "Need help mom?" I asked and headed tothe kitchen.
I was watching him out of the corner of my eye. After he walked out, I stood up to look at the picture. A friend I guess. Why did he look so sad? I'll ask later.. I read a few more songs, then I joined them in the kitchen.
I helped with the bacon and my mom made the pancakes with chocolate chips. Too bad my dad was at work now. He was missing out!
The pancakes were DELICIOUS! Chocolate chip pancakes are my favorite! And I love bacon. After breakfast I went and sat down on the swinging bench on the patio. I could see the beach from here. So peaceful..
After breakfast, I helped clean up and I walked out, and sat beside her. "Hey." I said, and I kissed her cheek. "The beach is fun.. it has lots of worn down sea glass." I said.
I smiled and took his hand. "We should go down there later. For a late night swim." I said with a chuckle, leaning up and kissing him softly.
"The water is so cold." I said, and I wrapped my arm around her. "But, it would still be fun." Isaid, smiling. I kissed her back sweetly.
I smiled and pulled away after a few moments. "It'll be worth it." I wrapped my arms around his waist and laid my head on his shoulder, watching the waves in the distance.
It was relaxing, you could even faintly hear the waves if you were quiet. "I love it here.. but I cant wait for Canada tomorrow."
I smiled. "We can always visit. I'm glad your family likes me." I said, looking up into his eyes.
"Definitely.. " I said. "And I don't think they like you. THey love you." I said, hugging her. "See that land over there? Across the water? Thats Canada." I said.
I smiled. "Beautiful." I whispered. I ran my fingertips up and down his arm, ansentmindely. "Babe..." I mumbled. "Who was that guy in the picture?"
I looked over at her, and sighed.. "My friend David.. He died in a car wreck six years ago.." I said. "I was the driver..."
I looked up at him. "I'm so sorry baby.." I whispered. I sat up and took his hands, kissing them gently. I had no idea..
I nodded, and I felt my eyes start to water up. "I feel that it Was my fault.“ I said, and I wiped my eyes quickly. The guilt has never left me
I gently hugged him, letting him rest his head on my chest. I stroked his hair gently. "I'm sure he doesn't blame you baby.." I whispered.
"I still cant helo but feel a little guilty." I said, quietly, resting my head on her chest. "He was my best friend."
I kissed the top of his head. "You need closure, baby.." I hugged him tightly. "You should go visit his grave."
I nodded.. "Yes.. we will in the morning before we leave in the morning.." I said, slowly standing. "I hate crying." I said softly.
