I do not understand how this is girls coming together against men lol. Maybe Deryn and Cas but Alcy is still leery of both of them.
Also, I love that nickname. So Cas is the Captain's evil cat and Alcy is a porcupine. Nice.

I'm thinking I may slow down my own posting a bit, a few people haven't posted in the last two days or so and I don't want to panic them too much.
Though the nice thing about these full-featured RPs is you can post in another location and people not in that location don't need to read it...
Still, Dorian's busy, and I don't want to overwhelm him when he gets back.

Sorry I was so MIA yesterday... I got a few new video games and they did a pretty good job of all consuming me. D: Also, Eden! I got your message regarding the music and... I can't describe how excited I got when I Will Follow you Into the Dark came on. I was all... "No way this is perfect!" And as we've discussed I agree that music does a great job at inspiring so I will make much use of this playlist... and possibly create one for Deryn if I get bored and share it with you. :B

Also... I think holding back a bit as far as posting goes right now would be good for them since... I don't want to make it seem like a ton of time is passing while they chit chatter in the dining room. What do you think?

Yeah, I agree about not wanting to make a lot of time pass by. I just don't want posting to end altogether in the meantime--I was thinking, maybe I could start a journal or location thread for "memories"? Since players (myself, too) sometimes include memories in posts I was thinking it would be more interesting if players just posted all the memory posts they would make in one thread altogether. Maybe even roleplay out things that happened in the past. So on slow days or something the game is still going.

I like to open up NPCs for play once I'm done with them. Would anyone be interested in taking over Varis, that Kerrian half-elf in the onexone, once I'm finished with him?
Would you have it be like individual memories that one player writes out like a flash back or would you want it to be little one x one's that take place in the past? Because either of those are a good idea to me!
Both would be acceptable to have in the game. It'd essentially be:
1. A collection of memories for folks to read through, since posting them in the main game'd get them lost more likely than not.
2. A place to keep posting when you have to wait for others.
Glad I'm not the only one who likes the idea. : D Aleta's player and I did some of that within the old game, but it was in the posts themselves and that just creates more for people to look through.

I'm still not sure whether to make it a journal or location though. The benefit of locations being that it counts towards activity and is more likely to be read.
I say make locations, either one big one for them to be stored or separate sub locations like "The memories of..." and make one for each person interested?
Hmm, I don't want to make too many locations so I'd just make one. Especially since that lets anyone drop in and post something without needing to request a location, and it lets folks RP out memories together.
Would you be interested in playing out some memory m'dear, since we're waiting on folks to post? :'3
We can play out memories that we've already spoken of to clarify... like the "brawl" I mentioned between Cas and Deryn that they ended up beaten up and laughing in the end... or we could reference more important parts of our history like... how they met... or the day Deryn left?
Pretty much either of those would be interesting to play out. Maybe in the same shot--ie, they are messing around, Deryn gets...iunno how it happened, whatever happens that makes her leave (it was her mother that sent her away right?--maybe her mother calls her aside).
In other news, since I can't delete one location, my locations page is now two pages long. xD Probably not for you guys though since two of those are hidden, I think.

I'll post first to throw us right in there. Starting with the day Deryn left. :D And then if we come back to write out more memories we can track backwards.

Yeah, I didn't write too much because it's essentially a fight scene, and relies on each player to make certain moves and what not~
I like Cas' personality so much! It just gets more interesting and amusing over time...

Hmm... Deryn is 7ish right? I wanna say she left the house perhaps 4 years ago. That seems right, enough time for her to go about her studies and make her name along with giving enough wiggle room for the first Ardent journey to go down and time to pass until now.
So that'd make Deryn 3 at the time and Cas 2--I think Cas'd still be physically more a child than a young woman at that age (think maybe 12-15), Deryn'd be maybe a very young woman (think teen, 18 etc). Within that ballpark.
Just writing this down so we're on the same page. xD
Cas won't fare well in the fight, she's not a grappler by any means. XD CREW TAKE NOTE!
Most of Cas' personality is just her being an elf, but thank you. xD I'm enjoying Deryn so far!

I totally made up gypsy bread.... >.> I want Deryn to have a weakness for good food and baked goods and in my eyes when I think of gypsy bread I think of a good thick loaf of dark and moist bread (like the appearance and texture of banana bread) baked with cinnamon and various types of berries, mmm... now I want to try and make some... hahaha.

Haha, I did that with Cas as well. Cas is a SUCKER for chocolate. And sweets in general. I did this for two reasons: I love the Witches in L4D, and they're supposed to be drawn to sugary things (ie why they're all up in a sugar mill). L4D Witches were a minor influence, so... second reason being that chocolate supposedly an aphrodisiac/makes you feel like you're in love. I imagine Cas isn't the only one who likes chocolate for that reason. :'C
Ah god... that made my heart break a little...
Now I have to go fill that void with food... be back soon, going to grab a bite to eat and then hit up the arcade for a few~
