T.K. looked up at Ikitasha with wide eyes. The customer she was dealing with glanced over his shoulder as he signed the reciept before she handed him his drink. She smiled at the boy and waved. "Ah!" she mumbled. "You've found me! Welcome to the Cafe." she said, a lilt of sarcasticness in her voice. She wasn't really all that happy to see him, but for company, he will do. She was working, and she liked her paycheck a lot.
She leaned forward against the counter and asked, "Anything on the menu you want?"
-
"Um..." He said thoughtfully as he looked at the menu. "Ill just have a glass of milk" he said with a hint of playfulnes in his voice. And then hands TK some money.
-
T.K. smiled some and quickly grabbed a little carton of milk and poured it into a paper cup and sealed a lid on it. She glanced at him before turnin to the microwave. "Want it heated?" she asked, raising an eyebrow. She had left the money on the counter until after she had given the boy his milk, but it was her thing not to take money until the drink was done, expecially if she could make it in under 30 seconds.
-
"Why not, it will help my bones right?" he asked sheepishly. Ikitasha was also wondering if TK got the joke that he was implying. Later he would ask if there are any other appartments left that he could sleep at after this.
-
T.K. laughed softly. "If it make you grow, I guess I better drink more milk and less coffee!" she said with a giggle. She was only 5 foot 2 inches, and still needed to grow. Coffee stunted growth, right? She put the milkl into the mircrowave for a few seconds before taking it out and then putting it on the counter in front of Ikitasha. She took up the money and counted it up, handing him a dollar bill back. She put it into the cashbox and then handed the boy his drink. "There you go!" she said with a slight sigh in her voice."Hey! You do know there's a dance tomorrow, right?" she asked.
-
"Seriously! Man i had no idea, well i am a new student i just got here this morning" he said with a stunned voice then naturaly calmed down. But if there was a dance, he needed to ask someone to it! Man he would look like such a looser if he didnt have a date to the dance.
-
T.K. smiled and shook her head. "You haven't seen the posters hung up all over the place? Damn, and I worked so hard on those!" she snorted nonchalantly. She ran a hand through her hair before glancing at the clock hanging on the wall. It was alright for her to take a break. She brushed her bangs out of her face, breifly showing her scar over her eye to the world before her hair feel in front of it again. "Have you gotten you're mask yet? No matter what, their not letting anyone without a mask in!" she said.
-
"No i already got one, i got it before i came here thinking i needed it for something" he said calmly. He was thinking of something then it just dissapeared out of his head. "Hey isnt it kind of boring just standing here in front of this machine all day with no one here?" he said with a conversational voice. If he could he would try to work up the courage to say something to her.
-
She rolled her eyes shaking her head, remembering what had happened in the beginging of the year when she was harassed by some collage student sent by her Uncle Tin. She shivered some at the thought before rolling her eyes again. "Believe me, its never boring." she mumbled, sighing. She was never really bored here at the Coffee Shop.
-
"well if you need help you can always ask me, ok?" He asked TK trying not to sound so obvious that he liked her. If she ever found out it could go horibbly wrong and it would ruin him. So he just grabbed the cup of warm milk and took a sip, and got the dollar bill and put it in his pocket.
-
"Well anyways i got to go im tired, and i need to check if there are anymore rooms left at the appartments" Ikitasha said with a slight yawn. He took another sip of his warm milk and heard something and his ears popped up unexpectedly and TK saw his ears and he shot them back down with embarrasment. "Oh im so sorry, you wont tell anyone will you?" He said quickly and his dog Hiaute came running down the street and jumped up at Ikitasha. Of course he cought him and started to rub his head and set him down. "Bakae ino" witch means stupid dog in Japanese. And trusting TK to keep his secret he walked out of the room to go and get some practice at the Dojo and swords fighting room. But he knew very well that he wouldnt be able to practice very good if he still had TK on his mind. But pushing that thought aside he just kept on walking.
-
Ikitasha slowly walks into the room, grabs an wooden sword and then sits down. He cant practice to his fullest with TK on his mind. So he just clumsuly hits the dummy with the sword just wavin it around and hears someone else breathing. "Im so sorry if I disterbed you 2 ill be leaving now" Ikitasha said and puts down the sword, gets up and walks out of the room. So he just walks to the Library so he can be alone and no one can bother him. And he just sits down in a comfterble spot next to a window and looks out side. It looks so peacefull outside and wondered if TK liked him like he liked TK. Sometimes he wished he could be normal like everyone else. And at othertimes he just questions the reasons he was born. Like his whole life was meaningless except for that one exparament. And he wondered how his life would change if that excparement was never done on him but someone else. "But i guess that just means if it didnt happen that way I wouldnt be here" Ikitasha said to himself quietly. And he just closed his eyes and rested there for a while.
-
T.K. was about to suggest something but Ikitasha had already started to walk away. She watched him walk away sipping his milk until she saw something peculiar. Cat ears poked up from the boy’s head. Her eyes widened some, but she nodded at his request to keep it a secret.
They both had their secrets, and she could keep them all.
She stared after him as he walked away with his dog. She sighed and ran a hand through her bangs, shaking her head. What was she going to do?
Suddenly, her boss caught her attention and told her to get back to work. She smiled meekly at the manager and nodded, doing as told.
As she worked, her thoughts lingered on Ikitasha. He was staying with her and Tamani in their apartment. Where Tamani’s office used to be, the young man would be living there. She snorted at the thought, the fact that Tam’s computer was now right next to her’s.
-
Anaya stared as the boy came in again, but then left. She looked up at Edge with apologetic eyes, really not wanting their relationship to be exposed. She smiled meekly up at the red head with a soft sigh. ”I agree…” she muttered back, running a hand through her rusty brown hair.
-
"Well i shouldnt think about it too hard should I Hiaute" Ikitasha asked his dog and Hiaute just gave an exited bark and a wagging of his tail. "Ah well ill go and see what TK is doing. And better yet ask her to the dance" He said enthousiasticly. But as he walked to the Cafe his confidence wained. 'Maybe i shouldnt do this, ill just be bothering her' he thought. But as if Hiaute read his mind he started a low growl in his throught almost saying ' get on with it'. As he was thinking to himself he didnt even notice that the Coffe shop. So he just walked in and said "Hello again TK watcha doin?"
-
T.K. had served many other customers before Ikitasha had come in. She was making a beverage when he caught her attention. She threw a smile at his direction and then brought the drink to the customer she was serving at the moment. When the young man came up to the counter, she leaned forward some and shrugged some, enjoying the slight breaks she was given.
”Hello Ikita.” she said, trying out the nickname she had come up with moment ago.
-
'BARK BARK BARK' Hiaute barked at Ikitasha basicly saying 'go on'."I know you stupid dog im going to say that" he hissed. He took an intake of breath and then let it out. "Hey TK will you um..., will y-you go to the d-dance with me?" he seemed to say unknown if TK even heard him past his babbbeling. So he just waited for an answer from TK knowing full well that it could be really good or horribly bad.
-
T.K.’s cheeks went somewhat red as she heard his question. Her meek smile melted into a thin line. She was actually planning on going to the dance alone, but this changed everything. She looked down for a moment, and then gripped the edge of the counter tightly. She waited a few seconds before biting her lip and nodding. She looked up at him. ”Yeah. I will.” she said, a soft smile tinting the thin line that she had pulled across her lips.
-
"YES!" Ikitasha yelled and jumped into the air with sheer happyness. As if on command Hiaute did the same thing but instead barked. And while he was jumping he felt his bangs lift off his face and his eyes windened to the size of oranges. As soon as he hit the floor he just fixed his hair and said "Well thats great see you tonight at the appartments." And he started to walked away then all of a sudden he felt an urge to stay with TK here at the coffe shop. He wanted to learn how to do this coffee makin thing too. He was actually thinking about applying for a job at one of these stores. Hopefully the coffee shop here with TK.
-
T.K. smiled nervously when she watched the young man jump. As he did so, she watched his bangs go up, and then she saw something peculiar. Her own hand went to her own eye, her fingertips skimming of her scar. She winced some and then grimaced at Ikitasha. "Ah... Uh... Okay." she said, her cheeks still a bit pink.
-
"Is there something wrong?"Ikitasha asked with a very confused voice. Then he just tilts his head and almost on command so did Hiaute. A little thought came to his mind but he pushed that thought away. As he did so he thought that she would of seen what was under his bangs. Inside him he heard his heart skip a beat.
-
"Oh! Everything's fine. Its fine." she pulled her hands from her face and put them on the counter. "Just... A bad memory..." she glanced at the clock and saw it was time for her to be off. She made one more drink and put it on her tab. She pulled her apron off and then walked around the counter, throwing the fabric over ehr shoulder before going to a seat. She sat down and sipped her drink nonchalantly.
-
"Hey want to walk to the appartments with me im getting tired"He asked. If they could the could talk about the thing under his left bang. It would help him alot if he could tell his secret to someone else besides his family. Its very akward not to have someone else to talk to and share secrets to.
-
T.K. nodded, standing up again. "Hold on, I have something in my locker..." she said quietly. She her apron with her as she went into the back. She tossed her apron into the locker and pulled out her dress. She sighed and came back out. She smiled at Ikitasha. "Sorry, I had to go grab some stuff..." she mumbled as she caught up to him.
-
"Its ok TK i was gunna wait for you anyways" Ikitasha said with a truthful voice. "And by the way did you see whats under my bangs?' He said with a very serious voice. If she knew he would have to tell her not to let anyone else know. If she didnt know then i guess he'll have to tell her anyways.
-

-
T.K. had looked down for a moment, but looked back up at his question. She thought about it before shaking her head. "No." she said quietly. Her own thoughts went to what was under her own bangs. She began tugging on her purple and blond colored bangs. She used her own hair to cover up her own scars, but what she didn't know is what scars Ikitasha had hidden.
-
Ikitasha quickly looked around to make sure that no one would see what he would do later. "well here you go then..." He lifted his left eye and what was under it. And what was under it a cat eye instead of a human eye. Ikitasha wonders what TK thinks about it. He hopes that she wouldnt feel any bit different than if she didnt know.
-
T.K. was amazed. She gaped some at the eye, leaning forward and studying his eye. "Wow..." she murmured. She stared for a moment before realising that her own bangs had fallen from her right eye. A long ridgid scar going down her right eye, making her eyeball a pale blue. The white tissue went from the top of her eyebrow and on her cheek bone. Her eyes went wide and she stuggled to cover it again.
-
"Well it happened during the genetic mutation when some duranged scientists tried to put cat instincs into a human body. And it went wrong thats why i have this eye, have very good hearing and eye sight as well, and have the ears." he said and he pooked up his ears again to show her them again. And he explained the painfull experience to her in full detail. And before he knew it they were at the appartments.
