"Well you better get used to them." He told her as he shifted through a few cds and started mumbling to himself. "Where the hell is Ted Poley?..."
Without looking at her and still shifting through the cds, he answered. "Ted Poley. He made this song long ago that I really like. I think they put it in a game in two thousand and three."
He shook his head. "Oh well... your loss... Ah, here it is! Escape from the City! Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet." Hope then walked by Ella and grabbed a CD that was labeled Endless Possibilities, and waited patiently for her to get what she wanted.
"Less than $1000"
He nodded. "I can see that." He went to the cashier and paid for the 42 CDs, ignoring his shocked face. When they left he asked, "Anything else you want?"
He nodded as he walked towards a small computer store. "Need one?"
"So I know if I need to give you one." He said coolly.
"Too late." He said as he walked in the store.
Hope gave a small smile and asked, "Mac or PC?"
He pouted. "I was hoping you said Linux... Damn." He walked over to the PC isle. "Laptop or Tower?"
He looked on the right side. "Got it. Now the Moment of truth. Windows 8 or Windows 7?"
"7 is more user friendly." He said as he picked up one. "This should be good." Hope walked to the cashier and paid for it. When they left the store he gave her the bag. "It has a 5 terabyte hard drive and a 20 Gigabyte RAM. Should be fast and long lasting."
He followed her before sheepishly adding, "I... got carried away didn't I?"
Fallen looked down embarrassed and ashamed at his actions. "Sorry... We can take it back if you want and you can get a different one." He offered to try and make up for his mistake.
Mikael saw the man's move and decided to keep playing the good boy. "Don't worry about believin' my words, once they discover that I'm a demon no one believes me so I'm used to it." He looked sadly at the ground and then looked Kirby in the eye. "About my name. . . I've got a problem here, ya know? If I tell ya my name, ya'll have power over me and that would make other demons believe that I'm weak and they would attack me. However I offer ya a deal. I'll tell ya my name if ya tell me yours first or if ya wish, ya can call me Fear." He said, recovering his friendly tone.
He waited outside the store for her to finish, since he might do what he did again. He couldn't help himself around computers. They were like his crack. Except for Fruit Snacks. Those were like his Heroin. He sighed and slid down the wall he was leaning against, disappointed in himself for acting the way he did.
Fallen got up when he noticed Ella leave the store and followed behind her, close enough to hear her if she said something to him, but far enough away to not bother her.
"Nothing." He said quietly. "I'm just... really sorry. I.. shouldn't have done what I did. I understand if your mad at me. I would be too if someone took away me freedom of choice." He spoke close to tears. 'I probably acted like my father did, all those years ago...'
He perked up a bit at the mention of making it up, "Ice cream? What flavor? How many scoops? Sprinkles?"
He nodded before heading up and walking next to her.
"I uh,... Don't really know what to talk about. Conversing with the fairer sex has always been a problem on my part... I don't really know what to say, or do, or if I'm doing anything right." Hope confessed.
"Instinct?" He paused. 'is that the same as listening to your heart?' He shook out his thoughts and nodded to himself. "So... Yeah..." 'She mentioned Ice cream right? "What's your favorite flavor of Ice cream?"
"Vanilla. Personally I like Lemon sherbert more, but Vanilla is my Favorite ice cream. It's also great with Root Beer for some Root Beer Floats."
He looked offended, "Disgusting? Explain Please." He requested. No one got away from him easily after insulting his favorite drink, whether or not he loved them. His fingered started to tingle. 'I sense that a tickle fight will ensue when we get home...'
"But. your. not. saying. what's. nasty. about. it." He said just as slowly.
" I was talking about more specific things, like too sweet, or really bad after taste..." He sighed and dropped the subject. "Forget it. Getting into an arguement about a drink is not worth making you angry." He said, putting his hands in his pockets.
He walked over to the ice cream store. "So what do you want?"
He payed for her ice cream cone and sat down at the table she sat at.
He thought for a moment before his eyes widened. "Wait. There's something that I've been wanting to ask... Do you...." He paused and looked away before hesitantly asked. "...like Harry Potter?"
He sighed in relief. "Sorry. I just felt the need to know. I really enjoy it. I even have firewhiskey at the house somewhere." He mentioned.
