Pretty much either of those would be interesting to play out. Maybe in the same shot--ie, they are messing around, Deryn gets...iunno how it happened, whatever happens that makes her leave (it was her mother that sent her away right?--maybe her mother calls her aside).
In other news, since I can't delete one location, my locations page is now two pages long. xD Probably not for you guys though since two of those are hidden, I think.

Hmm... Deryn is 7ish right? I wanna say she left the house perhaps 4 years ago. That seems right, enough time for her to go about her studies and make her name along with giving enough wiggle room for the first Ardent journey to go down and time to pass until now.
So that'd make Deryn 3 at the time and Cas 2--I think Cas'd still be physically more a child than a young woman at that age (think maybe 12-15), Deryn'd be maybe a very young woman (think teen, 18 etc). Within that ballpark.
Just writing this down so we're on the same page. xD
Cas won't fare well in the fight, she's not a grappler by any means. XD CREW TAKE NOTE!
Most of Cas' personality is just her being an elf, but thank you. xD I'm enjoying Deryn so far!

I totally made up gypsy bread.... >.> I want Deryn to have a weakness for good food and baked goods and in my eyes when I think of gypsy bread I think of a good thick loaf of dark and moist bread (like the appearance and texture of banana bread) baked with cinnamon and various types of berries, mmm... now I want to try and make some... hahaha.

Haha, I did that with Cas as well. Cas is a SUCKER for chocolate. And sweets in general. I did this for two reasons: I love the Witches in L4D, and they're supposed to be drawn to sugary things (ie why they're all up in a sugar mill). L4D Witches were a minor influence, so... second reason being that chocolate supposedly an aphrodisiac/makes you feel like you're in love. I imagine Cas isn't the only one who likes chocolate for that reason. :'C
Ah god... that made my heart break a little...
Now I have to go fill that void with food... be back soon, going to grab a bite to eat and then hit up the arcade for a few~

Oh and sorry I took so long, I found out something amazing and ended up on the phone forever. It turned out that like my best friend has been a roleplayer for longer than I have! And we never told each other that we partook in that kind of hobby until today. I told her about how I'm always on this site, and I finally explained it to her and she told me she'd been doing that kind of stuff for years. I WAS SHOCKED BUT SO EXCITED. So I'm going to get her to join the site! <3
