The Help

"That's because they wouldn't blame us if we did." I whispered, frowning to myself.

"You.. know we could.. bring Sydney and Jacob also.." I said. "We are all almost 18.." I said.

I sat up and wrapped my arms around my knees. "Yeah.."

"Do you want to?" I asked her, taking her hand. "We could be happy.." I said softly.

I sighed. "I don't know.. I've never left this town before.."

"You can trust me.. I know a town, a few miles out.. its very nice.. theres even a beach..." I said softly.

"Nothing's gonna change. The whole country is going through a depression. "

"Then we go to England.." I said softly. I had enough for tickets there.. "Im trying here.. stop being so.. negative.."

"How can I not? I'm scared Slade. Fucking terrified." I said, looking down.

"Im trying to find a solution, and I think I know how. But youre hesitant towards it, but I know it's going to work. I need you to trust me." I said, sighing, and hokding my head in my hands.

"I do trust you." I said quickly, gently rubbing his back.

"Okay.. then we will do this.." I said. Looking back at her. "Please.." I said.

I looked away. "Yes." I answered, gently taking his hand.

I slowly touched her chin, and made her look at me. I kissed her lips tenderly.

I closed my eyes and kissed him back lovingly, resting my fingertips on his cheek.

I slowly pulled away. And I pecked her lips. "Come on.. its going to rain soon." I said, and I slowly began to get down. My foot missed the pipe, and I went down, hard, landing on my back. "Fuck.." I groaned.

I gasped and climbed down the pipe quickly. I knelt down beside him. "Slade! Are you ok?"

I couldn't help but chuckle lightly. "Im fine.." I said, and I laughed a little harder. "I bet that was hilarious to watch." I said, sitting up.

I chuckled. "It kind of was." I helped him up and pecked his lips lightly. "I'm glad you're okay."

I chuckled , and I kissed her back. "Im glad too.." I said. "Did not help a hangover though." I said, my back hurt now.

I led him inside and I looked up at him. "Want me to give you a massage?"

"Yes please.." I said, taking her hand. I went back to het room. And I laid belly down onto the bed

I smiled straddled his legs, running my hands up and down his back gently, then I began to work at his muscles.

I groaned, and I burried my face in the bed. It felt amazing, and my.back was already starting to feel better.

I smiled. "Feel good?" I asked, rubbing his back a little harder.

"Yes.. " I said. I groaned again as she worked out the pains

After a while, my hands got tired and I stopped. I leaned down and kissed down his back slowly before laying next to him.

I pulled her closer and I kissed her cheek gently. "Thanks." I said and I closed my eyes for a moment

I smiled and snuggled close to him. "You're welcome. "

"When.. should we leave?" I asked her, looking down at her, smiling softly

I shrugged. "I have no idea.."

A couple days passed, the food getting more and more rare.. I had packed my bags already, and I went in and checked on Aurora to see if she was ready

I opened my door and smiled half heartedly. "Hey.." I had my bags packed as well.

Sydney and Jacob werent going. They needed a couple weks to save up. But, then they would come down.
I smiled at her, we both looked very weak.. this would end soon.. I kissed her cheek. "Lets go.." I said. I had a taxi waiting discretely outside for us.

We snuck out and put our bags in the trunk. Then we quickly got in. A tear ran down my cheek. I'm leaving my home..

"Its okay.." I said, and I wiped her tear away.. "When this depression is over.. we will come back. I promise." I said softly.

I sighed. "One of these days, I'm going to make a lot of money.. And I'm going to donate to the homeless shelter and the orphanage."

I nodded, giving her hand a squeeze. "We will do that." I said. Soon, we were at the airport. Now, for the 12 hour flight... we got first class seats, my uncle being the co owner of the flight company got us a deal.

I took his hand and leaned my seat back, closing my eyes. Might as well get some sleep..

I closed my eyes also, getting almost no sleeo for the next few hours. A lady politely woke us up, and gave us some food . It honestly didnt look half bad. Spaghetti.
