I glanced at him, and nodded. Good observation on his part. "So, lets see." I said, glancing at the time. "We have, well, forever. We can stay here as long as we want. And we will. I , and Ash here have evidence putting you at the crime scene." I said, and I watched in his eyes as he was slowly breaking, and that my words were working at chilping away his mental sheild and poker face. "I was there." He began. "No shit." I mumbled, and I watched as he continued. "My friend John called me.. asked me if I could... dispose ofthe body.. I did as you saw. Hes on the run, youll never find him." He said, a smile slowly forming on his lips. I grabbed my handcuffs and forcefully made him stand. "Ronnyboy, youre being arrested for tampering with evidence and failure to report the situation. Anything you say can and will be held against you in the court of law,.." I began to read off his rights as I cuffed him.
-
"That was almost too easy." I said with a smirk to Toria. I looked into the suspect's resentful eyes and said,"Oh we'll find him. Don't worry. Maybe you can share cells together." I gave him a hard pat on the back and I left the room to go report to Gibbs. "Good job." He said, without looking up from his papers. "It was more her this time." I answered with a shrug. I went to my desk and sat down, finishing my coffee silently and polishing my gun.
-
As soon as I noticed the camera stopped recording I felt a hard elbow to the gut, and the wind was knocked out of me, I also got a hard one to the face, blacking out. That bastard
-
I checked my watch. 10 minutes. Toria would have been back by now. I frowned and got up, sensing quickly that something was wrong. I loaded my gun, then went to the interrogation room. I saw Toria knocked out and the suspect running away. I dashed after him, my gun raised. As he rounded a corner, I managed to shoot him on the foot. He fell down, screaming in pain. I rushed over and pinned him down, handcuffing him tighter. "Now you're going to have more charges pressed on you. Such as assault of an officer. Also, you tried to run. Say hello to more years in prison." I called someone else over, and they retrieved him and took him to the hospital. I treated Torias's wounds and tried to wake her.
-
I groaned. What a bad fucking headache. I opened my eyes to see Ash there. I sat up slowly, my eye was a bit swollen. O probably looked like a zombie. "Did you get the bastard?" I asked, touching my eye, and slowly standing. Ill admit, he really got me off guard. I looked at the other camera, seeing it was rolling. "Get the footage. We can use it in court." I said
-
I helped her stand and I nodded. "Yeah. He tried to run, but I shot him on the foot." I answered. I went to get her some ice. "Here." I said, handing her the ice pack. "For your eye. It'll make the swelling go down."
-
"Good.." I muttered. God, how embarrassing. This made me look like a total wussy. I thanked him quietly and took the ice pack, and held it to my eye. "I think I better go home for the day.. guy got me in the gut also. " I said, placing my hand on my stomach.
-
"Want me to give you a ride home?" I asked, watching her carefully. "How'd he catch you off guard anyway?" I added.
-
"Yes.. please." I said, looking up at him. And I didnt pay much attention to his second question, me still being embarrassed and all. (Sorry! Phone died.)
-
I grabbed my keys and showed her to my car. I already knew where she lived because we often visited each other to look at files and such. "You don't have to be so embarrassed." I said with a chuckle as I stopped at a red light. "It happens."
-
Yeah.. but it happened in front of you.. I thought. I chuckled, and nodded. "Yeah.. true." I said. I may be really falling for this guy. I mean, he really is a good guy. But he would probably never go after me. I mean, look at me now!
-
I stopped in front of her house and smiled, looking over at her. "Are you gonna be okay?" I asked, gently taking the ice pack away from her so I could examine her eye. "The swellings gone down."
-
I was a bit speachless with how gentle he was, and how I had gotten lost in his eyes so quickly.. "I.. uh. Yeah, ill be fine." I said, nervous. "Ill see you.. tomorrow." I said, then realized it was Friday. We both had the weekend off. "I mean. Monday."
-
I smiled and gave her the ice pack back. "Alright. I was wondering if... You would like to have lunch with me tomorrow?" I asked hopefully. I just love being around her..
-
He probably just wants to discuss the case, right? "Oh. Yes, actually, I'd love to." I said, taking the ice back, smiling. Well, this wasnt so bad afterall.
-
I smiled. "Good. I'll see you tomorrow then. I'll pick you up at 1." I waved at her as she got out and I drove away, a big grin breaking across my face.
-
I waved, and walked up the steps to my front door and I unlocked it, walking in. I closed the door behind me and I went right to the bathroom, I showered, then I went to lay down, tired and very achy.
-
I went home and poured over the files some more, trying to fit the missing puzzle pieces in. Who killed her? I groaned and shut the folder. I need sleep. I took a quick shower and then laid in bed, quickly falling asleep.
-
The next day, I woke up, my eye still hurt, I stood and walkedto a mirror, it didnt look as bad, but my stomach was still bruised. And hurt like a sonofa gun. I god dressed and brushed my hair, I had a fewhours to kill untill one.
-
I woke up at 11 and took another shower, then I got dressed in a button down shirt and jeans. I combed my hair and around 12:45, I drove to her house and honked.
-
I wore a nice pair of skinny jeans, Toms, and a mice flowy shirt. My hair was curled away from my face. My makeup was simple, not to crazy. I walked out when I heard the honk, and I got in. "Hey." I said. Wow, handsome..
-
I looked at her and my breath caught in my throat. "Hey.. You look great." I said softly, smiling at her, awestruck. When I realized I was staring at her, I looked away quickly and blushed. "So.. Where would you like to go?" I asked.
-
"Thank you.. you do also." I said, blushing when I saw he was staring for a few seconds. "Uhm. The ner Mexican place up the street? I hear its good." I said, fiddling with my fingers in my lap.
-
I nodded. "Yeah, sure." I drove to the place and parked, opening the car door like a gentleman. We found a nice booth and we ate some chips and salsa for the appetizer.
-
I took a bite of the chip and salsa, my mouth was on fire! But it was great. I loved spicy food. "So, find anything on the case yet?" I asked.
-
I shook my head. "No.." I took a bite and then sipped my coke. "I can't do it without you." I smiled at her warmly. "Could we not talk about the case? It's really stressful."
-
"Oh right. Sorry." I said. What do we talk about? I sipped on my coke. "So how have you been? Outside of work?" I asked
-
I smiled and shrugged. "I've been alright. I've mainly just went bowling and such." I chuckled. "You should come with me sometime."
-
"Im terrible at bowling." I said, grinning. "Volleyball is my sport believe it or not." I said, looking up and seeing the waiter with our food. I cheered quietly on the inside. I loved Mexican food.
-
I'm not much of a Mexican food person, so I just ordered 2 small tacos and a salad. I took a small bite and smiled. "I don't know how to play Volleyball." I sipped my drink and glanced up at her. She's so beautiful..
