Rosebel slowly woke up as sun shined in her eyes, making all night dreams retreat in corners of Rosebel's mind. Bit frustrated Rosebel opened her eyes and slowly emerged from messed up bed.
Luckily it was Saturday so she didn't have to go to school today. Rosebel hated going to school. Already for second year, she was in center of attention so she had to hide her demonic side and bring out her angelic side. Only problem was that she only looked like an angel, in character she was a complete demon.
Without even combing hair or changing out of pajamas, Rosebel went out to her backyard to enjoy the last warmth of autumn morning. Day by day, temperatures were dropping lower, sun rays became colder and dark took over light. If during summer, sun was shining from 4 am to 11 pm, then now it was shining from 9 am to 6 pm. That saddened Rosebel because she loved sun. Sun was her hope, that one day she'll be able to avenge her parents.
But for now, Rosebel will study so she could become stronger. She already knew everything of magic, now she needed to learn everything about human technology. Only then she'll be able to defeat her hidden enemies.

"Monty. Monty-y~ Here boy, it's time to go for our walk. Where is that little guy?" Issak already got the two older ones with their leashes on as Harriet (Medium sized) looks ready to go, while Jackson (Largest) was rolling around. Before Issak decided to check indoors the little one escaped from the large-sized dog door and crashed into Issak's leg. He bent down to pick the small sized puppy and lifted him by the armpits. "There you are Monty." The small puppy simply barked and kept on panting as Issak went for a hug. "Oh you're so cute. That goes for the two of you too." The remaining two simply barked and started walking ahead. Issak had placed Monty backed down and followed along.
The morning sun was still rising and it was certainly a sight for sore eyes. Especially for the ones who wake up early to walk their dogs and look at the beach side. "This is great." He kept on walking till there was a group of kids walking towards him. Issak flinched a bit and lowered his head to avoid eye contact with the group. They just simply passed Issak without regarding him in anyway. He did overhear one of the girl talking about his "cute dogs." "They must be heading to the beach to get an early dive." The dogs just casually walked on without any response to their owner talking. "Let's walk for 20 corners then I need to head to the library to work."
-
As sun shined, Rosebel decided to spread her angelic wings for a while. Although she now could control them much then before, she still couldn't keep her wings in for too long. Longest she has gone without spreading wings was for a week, but in the end of that week, Rosebel felt completely exhausted. That is why she tries to free her wings whenever given the chance.
After half hour of dozing in sun and grooming her wings, Rosebel hid them again and went inside to dress up in her usual attire - white dress, white knee-length socks, black high heel shoes and little purple jacket. After eating breakfast that consisted of two boiled eggs, toast with strawberry jam and wild strawberry tea, Rosebel decided to go for a walk to the beach.
Girl loved the beach especially in the mornings. Not many people where there then and air coming from sea instantly washed away all worries. As Rosebel made her way towards the beach, she noticed Issak, one of her classmates, walking 3 dogs - one big, one medium and one little pup. Rosebel wasn't friends with anyone in school, but she still acted nice to keep up her imagine. It would be troublesome if humans suspected something of her true personality.
"Good morning, Issak," Rosebel greeted him with yet another fake but radiant smile.
-
Issak instantly froze up as he heard a very familiar voice enter his ears. He stiffly turned to face the female sound and the moment their eyes met he had a big quivering smile on his face. "Ro..ro..ros..Rosabe..l..Rosabel?" He could not bring his creepy like smile down and his cheeks started to turn red. Oh no, oh no. What do I do? Rosabel is here talking to me. Why is she talking to me? Nobody is around. His mind was panicking and he shivered at every second interval. He was trying to say something but was just stuttering. Then Jackson, the largest of the pack, headbutted the back of his knees and he was pushed a step forward and his words came out half fluently. "What are you doing so early in the morning. It is a good day to walk your dogs isn't it?" He was averting his eyes. Oh great, the first time I talked to her in a long while and I am coming off as some kind of freak.
-
"I'm just taking a walk to the beach to breath some fresh air. And yes, it is perfect time to walk dogs, only unfortunately I don't have any," Rosebel replied to clumsy boy. She could hear that he was nervous and his red cheeks showed that off even more. However Rosebel didn't dislike this boy. He was clumsy and shy, but better the most humans.
While others were just fooling around Issak actually studied in school that left good impression on him.
-
The three dog just stared at him and then looked at each other before decided to just dashed off towards Rosabel's direction. Issak who was still left unguarded was pulled by the force of them and ended up tripping forward and making a frontal impact into Rosabel. Having the two of them tumbled onto the ground. Issak had let out a scream and the next thing he knew he was on top of Rosabel. His eyes just started spinning. What have you guys done!? He jumped off her and then ran away from Rosabel. "I am so sorry!" That was the lat thing he screamed before disappearing at the corner. Jackson and Harriet chased after their owner. While Monty, the small one, walked over to Rosabel and started licking her cheek. It was trying be apologetic to her.
-
Rosebel was one second away from losing her temper. Two dogs throwing a boy on top certainty did not feel nice. If he hadn't disappeared the same second he fell on Rosebel she probably would have showed part of her demonic side. Luckily she wasn't hurt, but she wasn't sure about Issak though. He dashed off so quickly she didn't even get the chance to see if he was fine.
The smallest of dogs stayed behind its owner and licked Rosebel as if apologizing for behavior of other two dogs.
"It's alright! It could have been much worse," Rosebel said as she patted little dog and motioned it to follow its owner. After little pup disappeared behind corner Rosebel resumed her walk to beach.
-
After spending some time huddling in between a mailbox and a trashcan and having his dogs trying their best to cheer him up. He was able to forget about this morning incident and placed them back home. Issak was now half ready to go to work. What he wanted to do instead was go home and cry in his bed to try, assuming that Rosabel was now totally freak out about him. "She must be thinking that I am some sort of guy who can manipulate dogs to do something weird to her." But if there was one thing that he got from the event was the scent of her hair. He blushed a bit. "She smelled so nice though." He was easily recalling her radiance and was just walking down with a smile on his face. But then his hand started to sting. He had not noticed that there was a small gash on his palm. "I must have got it from the fall." Then his scar started to feel a small twinge. "The pain from the scar is back again... Maybe its just me over thinking things." Issak just let out a sigh and continue towards the library. He had not realized that up on the telephone pole was a slithering shadowy creature but turned up invisible in just a second.
Issak had started shelving the return books into their proper DD numbers. Each book was one he had read. Then he picked out one that he had not touched yet and placed it back in the cart to pass the time reading. Very little people were in the library and mostly they were just really studious students, people wanting free internet, and the elderly. Issak felt really calm in the place. He then notice two people talking a bit loud which he felt compelled to tell them to quiet down. As he approached them, he stuttered his first few words. The two looked at them but ended up just continue their chat. Issak feeling defeated just backed away and continued re-shelving. "At least they aren't bothering anyone around them." Issak sat himself at an empty desk and started reading through the text. "This History of Angels and Demons, a Contemporary Witness Tale. Not a big fan of fiction but I haven't read this yet."
-
Once Rosebel reached the beach she instantly fell refreshed and completely forgot about the incident. She just sat down at shore and watched as waves made their way towards her and back into sea.
There weren't any people because it autumn morning. Rarely who came to beach then because swimming season was over and sea had not yet frozen over. In winter ice layer was so thick that it could hold whole village on it. People used this to have annual ice sculpture contest that lasted as long as ice was safe.
Suddenly Rosebel noticed some dark figure hiding in shadows. Instantly she sent a small beam of light magic towards stranger who quickly avoided it and jumped out into the light.
"Is that how your greet your uncle, Rose!" Said Lucifer, Rosebel's uncle and her mother's brother, while angrily pouting at girl. Lucifer was now in his demon form which clearly made him look inhuman. He had bit redish skin, horns coming out of his head, long, straight black hair which were identical to Rosebel's and red eyes. He stood more then 6 foot tall and looked enormous next to little girl and despite his demonic look, he was really handsome.
"Uncle Lucifer, you know that it's not good to sneak up on me! And please change into your human form, someone might see you!" Rosebel scolded her outgoing uncle.
"Okay, okay! You're such a strict niece! But that's why you're my favourite," Lucifer exclaimed and changed into his human form, which was almost the same only without red skin and horns.
"I'm your only niece! Why are you here?" Rosebel asked.
"I'm here to warn you. They know that you're here!" Lucifer said with serious expression and once again vanished into the dark.

The pathway to home was lined to the shore. The sidewalk was calm and peaceful. Darkness was illuminated by the street lamps that lined up at very fair distance from each other. It was then that a full moon was out, the colour seemed a lot more off then it use to be. But Issak never take heed to the giant rock. He would more focus on the stars... "If only there were any in the sky." He would stare at the purple sky, but would not see a single shining light. He found it awfully strange as the more recent months, stars were harder to make out. Some he reasoned to be of the artificial lights of the small town. But it was rare because the town the size of Linbooru would not even fade away half of the milky way. The only main focus besides the night sky was to head home and ate his dinner. Issak always worked late at the library and would rarely make it home in time for any 8pm special. But he was more into studying then watching the latest pop culture media.
As he kept on walking, he started to hear footsteps from behind. He did not bother turning and only assumed that it was other people. He was also afraid to even look back as sweat started to roll down his cheek. "Don't mind the footsteps. Its just other people going home." He kept on walking and the sound of another set of foots could be heard far off. Pain was starting to grow from his shoulder.
Issak was not sure how long he was walking. His heart started to race and increase in tempo at the constant sound of footsteps. He then stopped in his tracks and heard that the sound behind him has stopped as well. Issak felt a shiver and could not help but peer behind him only to catch a glimpse of nothingness. His breathing became harder as he noticed the surrounding. It was obvious that it was a bare sidewalk, with nothing visible to hide behind. Where are those footsteps coming from? He wanted to cry, he must be feeling what Rosebel must have felt if she could sense Issak's stalking. Issak faced the front direction again only to see a flashing street lamp flashing at a very far distance. "Oh god, please don't do anything terrifying on me." The flickering light then burned out. "There goes my only light sou..." Before he could finish his sentence, the streetlamp next to it burned out instantly. Then the next one, and moved on towards Issak. "What the heck?" He did not know why, but with the growing pain from his shoulder and the speed of streetlamps burning out in front of him, his instinct told him to run. Issak ran at the opposite direction. He wanted to cry and just yell for help but the pain in his shoulder stopped him from saying a peep as he was holding onto his shoulder and massaging it hoping the pain would go away. "Is this a joke of a black out or something?" He did not want to know why the lights were turning off. All he wanted was for somewhere safe to be.
-
Rosebel was comfortably resting in her bed while reading few human written books. Although Rosebel looked down on humans, because they were so noisy and clumsy, she enjoyed reading their books. They were far better then books demons or angels wrote, because human books were full of emotion and adventure. It amazed Rosebel how creative they were.
As she continued to read the book, something suddenly make shivers run down her spine. She could sense it. It was demon, not too far from here. Somehow it must have been able to track Rosebel because she could now feel it coming closer and closer.
Rosebel got out of her bed, put on her jacket and hurried out of house to that direction where she could sense demon. She has to kill it before it draws closer other demons or harms any human. It is dangerous but there is no choice, if Rosebel doesn't kill this demon, more will catch onto her track. And then there will be no escape.
-
Issak did not know where he was going. All he wanted was escape, but no matter where he turned or went, there was lack of light. Now he was clinging to any sources he can get. His running led him to the steps of the shrine. But the darkness was too strong and he missed one while trying to climb up. That step proved fatal as he bumped his head on the stone. He let out a groan, turning himself over and tried to touch his bleeding forehead.
However, he was unable to reach for it as he was overcome by pain. From his shoulder, his forehead, and his front. He let out a gasp as his lungs was being pressed on. Issak was struggling for air as he felt something heavy was on him. It was something heavy almost like a foot. But nothing was there in Issak's sight. He was also in immense pain. What is this feeling? It hurts so much. I'm dying? Is this my time? He was trying to muster up strength to yell for help. Tears just gushing out of his eyes non-stop. The futile struggling knocked his glasses off. Issak was starting to catch simple gasp for breath. "Ple...please...someone...I..don't..want to..die."
-
Demon's aura has lead Rosebel to Linbooru Shrine. She was nervous, because she has never really fought a demon before, so she wasn't sure if she even was strong enough. Then again she didn't know if this was high-class demon, it might as well be weak.
Suddenly, she heard a familiar human voice call for help. Though she could barely hear so weak and quiet it was. Without hesitating Rosebel spread her wings and flew towards weak scream as fast as possible.
Rosebel couldn't be more surprised then she is now. A low-class demon who can't even take proper human form, has pinned down Issak who had blood running from his forehead. Somehow this whole scene made Rosebel really mad. Even low class demon was more powerful then human and Issak, he was even weaker then normal human.
With one swift movement Rosebel kicked demon off Issak and stood between it and trembling boy. She didn't really think of consequences of human seeing her true form, right now Rosebel just wanted to get rid of demon who was angrily growling at her.
Demon backed away a little and launched himself towards Rosebel, however she already being prepared brought out the Light Magic Staff and chanted spell which destroyed little pest in matter of seconds.
-
Issak was finally able to breath again, but the sudden breathing made him more woozy. He tried his best to keep at least on eye open to see what happened. All he was able to catch was a blinding white light and then a figure in the dark doing some sort of thing that was incomprehensible. Issak was simply lost for words, not sure if he should say thank you or something selfish. But if there is one thing he was wanting to say, if he was going to die from all the pain before getting better. It was that he regretted not confessing to Rosabel.
Issak was slowly regaining his strength. He tried to pull himself up, but kept losing balance. His sigh was now clearing up and was getting use to the nocturnal vision. He could make out his saviors back. This person looks familiar. Then he was able to say something. "I'm going to be sick." His eyes rolled to the back of his head as he fell unconscious.
-
After demon was dead, Rosebel saw Issak try to stand up, however he just managed to say that he's going to be sick and fell unconscious.
"Great! What am I suppose to do with him now?" Rosebel asked herself and hid her wings. She could not leave him here alone, that's for sure. For now Rosebel had no choice but to bring him to her house, since she didn't know where exactly Issak lived.
Carrying him was a peace of cake for Rosebel, even though he was bit taller and heavier then her. Luckily she didn't meet anyone on the street while carrying him to her house. It would certainly be weird seeing a girl carry boy with bleeding forehead. Who knows what humans could think of. They always tend to make trouble out of nothing.
Once at her place, Rosebel put Issak in her bed and cleaned his bleeding forehead. She didn't want any of his blood to dirty up her white bed sheets. While cleaning his forehead Rosebel noticed that something is missing because Issak didn't look like Issak.
"Oh yeah! The glasses!" Rosebel exclaimed once she remembered that this boy always wore glasses. They must have fallen off when demon attacked him in shrine. However it was no use to go searching for them now, it was too dark to find anything, so Rosebel just sat down in her favourite armchair and waited for Issak to wake up.
-
The great deal of pain Issak was feeling had now subsided. He was simply having pleasant dream of Rosabel and Issak talking in the library. He was still being shy with his tone, but Rosabel was always trying to force him to speak. Issak could not help but have a smile on his face. Till the background went white and he was slowly opening his eyes. Returning to the real world. The moment he was getting back into reality, the after pain from his forehead tingled and Issak went to grasp it. "I must have tripped and fell when I got to the shrine." He then sat on up still unaware of his surrounding. "Why am I at home? I thought I was at the shrine." His eyes were blurry, he was starting to understand that he was not wearing his glasses.
-
After few hours Issak finally woke up. Much to her relief he was dizzy and didn't understand his surroundings. Maybe he hasn't even seen Rosebel in her true form.
"I'm sorry, Issak! I only noticed that you're glasses are missing only once I treated your wound and I didn't want to go out in the dark to search for them," Rosebel said in the nicest tone she could pull out of herself when she saw him trying to find the glasses on his nose. If she acts like she usually does in school, Issak most likely won't suspect a thing. She could just tell him, that she found him laying in shrine when she went to visit it and then brought him back home to treat his wounds.
-
When Issak heard the voice from his side. "How do you know my name?" He was completely confused at the situation he was stuck in. He turned around and squint his eyes a bit. He was able to focus a bit and made out a figure that would make his mouth drop two floors. He fell off the bed. The voice was now a completely familiar tone to him. "Robabel?! What am I doing in your bed?" He then felt up his bandaged head. He was in no state of mind to be embarrass and shy. "What happened before I blacked out?" Issak's memories were a blur to him. The last thing he saw was a bright shining light and the rest was a complete mystery.
-
Still being completely confused Issak fell out of Rosebel's bed and asked what had happened before he had blacked out. Rosebel was relieved to see that Issak didn't remember anything, not even the demon that wanted to used him as lunch.
"I don't know! I went to shrine and I already found you unconscious and injured. That's why I brought you home since I don't know where you live," Rosebel said in innocent voice. It was bit annoying to put on that fake mask on in her own house, but she had no choice. Rosebel needed to maintain that fake character she had made to go to human school. If she were to act as her usual self Issak most likely would tell about it to whole school thus ruining imagine she has made until now.
-
First this morning and now this. I am so embarrassed. No way Rosabel would like a burden like me. Issak, not facing the direction of Rosabel, stood up and was slowly trying to make his way to the door. He was making out the door frame. With a soft spoken voice, he continued to talk to Rosabel. "Thank you for taking care of me. But I should get going. I don't want to trouble your parents if they knew... a boy was in their daughter's room." Issak now had a clear head and stabilized himself. His head was clearing up, but he still felt bits of pain every few seconds. Nothing he had not faced before in the past.
-
"Don't worry, I live alone. And you can't go anywhere now, it's pitch black outside and you don't have your glasses, you'll only get lost," Rosebel said as she watched how boy tried to make his way out of her room. Obviously he wouldn't make it far. Rosebel had no choice but to let Issak stay at her house overnight. Thought that she would have to pretend to be nice was unbearable and Rosebel cursed her angelic side.
"You can stay overnight. I'm going to get clean beds sheets and make the bed next room," Rosebel explained and grabbed Issak by his hand and lead him to the other room.
"Wait here while I get bed sheets," she said and hurried to special wardrobe room where she kept all the clothing.
-
This was far from what Issak would expect the day would turn out. He thought that he would go walk his dogs, work at the library, and end up having a good nights rest to finish up his homework the next day. Now, he was in the same house of his crush and that gave him some weird thoughts in his head. It was like every scene that could happen in the fictional world could be played out with Issak and Rosabel. He slapped both of his cheeks with his two hand and closed his eyes. "What am I thinking? I need to keep on a good behaviour or else Rosabel might think ill of me." But some very mature thoughts were hard to keep out of his mind. He then felt a quick sting from his scar but it stopped a couple of seconds later. "What is up with my scar these days?" But then his thoughts turn to Rosabel. "But she is so nice. Letting someone like me stay in her place like its nothing." The thought about the social difference between the two of them made him depressed. He realized that his feelings will never reach her and that thought just started up a depressing aura.
-
When Rosebel returned, Issak seemed to be deep in thought and somehow sad. Rosebel couldn't help letting out a little chuckle because the face of human indeed looked hilarious.
"Sorry! You just look bit funny while thinking so seriously," girl admitted and was bit surprised about herself. It was rare for her to laugh, truly laugh, not put up those fake smiles at school.
"Wait a little while, I'm going to make the bed for you," Rosebel said and couldn't help ruffling boy's hair to make him feel bit less awkward. Somehow without glasses Issak reminded her of cute, but lonely puppy dog.
She let out another little smile and quickly pulled the bed sheets over king sized bed that hasn't been used for years. Actually only visitor Rosebel has ever had was her uncle Lucifer.
-
Issak just nodded. He picked up the bed sheets and was preparing to turn for the night. I wonder if this bed is used for her parents. He noticed a bit of dust here and there. But it doesn't look like it had been used for such a long time. I wonder if they ever miss her? Issak bit his lips. Somehow, sleep was far from his mind. He thought that it might be best if they talked. To establish a friendly relationship. Issak did read a passage in a back that the best way for people to develop a healthy loving relationship is through conversation. Issak sat himself on the bed and turned to Rosabel. The first few words were pretty much stutters and him repeating a syllable twice or thrice. He then cleared his throat and with a soft spoken tone, he started with a question. "So where are your parents right now if you are currently living alone?" His heart was pounding a bit. The idea that he was talking to the girl he liked in a room with nobody around just gave him bliss.
-
That was the one question Rosebel didn't want to be asked. She turned her back on boy and said almost in whisper:
"They're dead..."
Rosebel couldn't get any other words over her lips. She remember that horrible night that at the beginning was just as peaceful as any other. Rosebel's mother had found a really nice human storybook about a happy family. Of course, her father was right next to them both while mother was reading the story. Although mother was demon and father was angel, they never fought with each other. In Rosebel's family conflicts was a very rare sight.
After mother had finished the story, both parents kissed Rosebel's forehead and went to sleep. However after few hours something awoke 8 year old girl from her dreams. She could hear shouting and sound of breaking glass. She wanted to exit her room to find out what was happening, but before she did her parents entered the room and locked it behind them. Rosebel remembers how angels and demons were shouting and trying to break the door. However before they did that Rosebel's parents said "Spread your wings and fly away from here as far as possible and as fast as possible and no matter what happens remember, we will always love you!"
Rosebel barely managed to hold her tears back because her parents were her life. Even now it's hard to believe that they were gone.
-
Issak kicked himself mentally. He did not expect such a landmine answer. He just tucked his head down. "I'm sorry for asking." The awkward silence was killing him. He may as well jumped out of the window for making Rosabel remember such a terrible thing. But she was right, without proper light and glasses, he would have too much trouble trying to get home. "I'm just gonna get some sleep." He placed the sheets over his body to hide his embarrassed expression. "I'm sorry."
-
"It's alright. You didn't know," Rosebel said still with her back on the boy. A part of her hated him for asking that, however part understood why he would ask. After all, when parents were asked to come to school, no one ever came for Rosebel.
"I'm going to sleep now, good night," Rosebel said and went to her room. She quickly changed into her favourite white pajama and slipped under silky covers. Rosebel was tired today, so she quickly fell into dreamless sleep.
-
The weekend passed like it was nothing for the town. Issak had left early morning on the Sunday without waking up Rosabel. He did leave a note thanking her for the night and safely made it home. The news made an announcement that their was a blackout at the south end of the beach but no further mention on the reason why it happened. The whole Sunday was spent Issak bullying himself for putting an awkward wall between him and Rosabel. The weekend was pretty much unproductive.
When the Monday morning came, Issak made sure to leave out food for his dogs as no one would be home to give them lunch. He spent the whole day trying to avoid Rosabel when he saw her in hallways, and kept to himself while during class. If she was ever got close enough to him, he had made his way to the nearest exit.
The school day had ended without Issak saying a word to anybody. He just felt more tired making this an effort. "Maybe I should have said something to Rosabel. But I can't help it if I have to avoid her." By the time he got to the school entrance, a group of student had started to surround Issak. Sweat rolled down his cheeks as they told him that they have some business with the boy.
At the back of school gym, he was getting punched and kicked while a couple were rummaging his bag. The group leader walked up and picked up Issak by the shirt collar. "So my boys told me that you had a little run in with Rosabel and then more news came that they saw you being taken in to her place. What is your relationship to our school's princess?" Issak did not utter a word. Another blow to the face knocked him to the wall. "You think Rosabel would hang out with a bookworm like you. I understand that she take cares of her peers, but close relationship with her is only deserving for the popular people like me." The leader kicked Issak in the stomach. He let out a painful cry. "Pathetic, you better stay away from Rosabel." Issak wanted to say something, but he was in too much pain to say anything. He was making too much effort to pick himself up. The leader seeing Issak struggling went over to pick up a sturdy branch. Notorious motives were pretty much going through the bully's eyes.
-
When Rosebel woke up, Issak had already gone home. That meant less trouble for Rosebel so she could peacefully spend Sunday reading books.
However peace didn't last long, because next day was yet another Monday which meant more torture for Rosebel. She hated being school's idol, because humans were so nosy and expected perfection from her, which she could easily show them. But something was odd today. Issak who usually wasn't too far away from Rosebel, was now nowhere to be seen although he was in school. It was as if he was avoiding her. But she paid no attention to it. Last thing Rosebel needed is to start worrying about some human.
Before beginning of gym class Rosebel noticed as gang of boys made their way out of school, behind the gym. At beginning Rosebel ignored it, but when lesson started Rosebel noticed that both Issak and everyone from the gang were absent. It was obvious that gang decided to pick on poor little Issak. Sighing to herself Rosebel told teacher that she need to use the bathroom and went to same place were gang went before.
Rosebel wasn't wrong. When she reached the place, she saw how guys were beating up little guy and their so called leader had picked up stick, which he most likely intended to use on Issak.
"Don't you guys have anything better to do then gang up on someone much weaker then you?" Rosebel said in cold voice bringing everyone's attention to herself.
-
Issak saw Rosabel came to aid him from the bully and all he cold do was bite the bottom of his lips. The leader just simply clicked his tongue and tossed the stick aside. "We're leaving." Before the guy left, he gave an evil glare at Issak and all Issak could do was look away. The group disperse and Issak picked himself from the floor. His head still hanging downward. Great, Rosabel now witness my bullying. He clenched his right fist tightly as a bit of blood was forming on his palm. He was trying his hardest to hold back his tears, but he could not help to have some of them escape the ducts. I don't want her to see me like this.
-
Rosebel now realized that she had made a mistake. She could see Issak fighting with his tears and pride. Obviously he didn't want to be seen like that. Rosebel became angry at bullies. This boy didn't deserve it, as he was one of those rare human beings that weren't annoying and made sense.
Rosebel went up to beaten up boy and reached her hand out to him.
"There was nothing you could do against so many of them, so there's no need to be ashamed. I'm not going to laugh at you just because you're not a superhuman who could beat up a whole gang of guys at once," she said hoping that Issak would feel little bit better. She also promised that she'll play a little prank on those guys later, so they would know their place.
-
When Rosabel told him that he should not be ashamed, he just simply lost his composure. The tears just could not be held back but it did not stop him from lifting his head to glare at Rosabel. "You don't understand..." He was able to convey his words properly. He was now talking to Rosabel with confidence. But his thoughts were shrouded with fury. He knocked her hand away and with closing his eyes, he just simply yelled at her. "Someone as popular as you don't understand the pain and strife of people like me!" He then came to the realization that he was yelling at Rosabel. But it was too late for him to take anything back. Issak just simply ran passed her and out of the school ground. I'm such an idiot.
-
Rosebel was mad, but this time at Issak. As if that little runt knew anything of how annoying it was to be popular. All the pity she had felt for Issak disappeared so she returned to lesson. Humans were such ungrateful creatures. You save them and they'll throw knife in your face.
"I shouldn't have helped him after all," Rosebel said to herself.
When Rosebel had been done with cleaning duty which she had to do today, she finally could go home. However it was already quite late so it was dark outside. She was probably one of last students to leave the school.
On way home Rosebel felt as if she was being watched. She carefully looked from side to another to see if someone was near. However she couldn't feel any demons so it probably was just some stalker. To lose him, Rosebel started running really fast, however she didn't get far because she bumped into someone and fell down on ground.
"Why are you running?" Asked Rosebel's demon uncle Lucifer who was now standing right in front of her.
"So it was you who was stalking me," Rosebel stated and quickly stood up and cleaned her clothes.
"Stalking? No! I was guarding you!" Lucifer said seriously. It was unusual for him to be serious as he was always joking around.
"Guarding? Why?" Rosebel asked bit surprised.
"Turns out that little demon you killed wasn't alone. His partner ran all the way to hell to tell about you to Demon King!" Lucifer said and started pulling Rosebel towards her house.
"You're joking right! Demon King is after me now!"
"Yes, but he won't be coming right away. For now we need to stay here and prepare when he comes. I'm going to help you!" Lucifer said. Rosebel was surprised as her uncle never really tried to help her family. Then again he never betrayed them either.
"I understood, but now could you please change into human form or someone might see you," Rosebel said as she pointed towards Lucifer's horns. He just chuckled and then turned back into human.

Issak just stopped running as he was completely out of breath. All the pain was rushing through his body. He did not even realize that his scar was clearly reacting. "What have I done? I didn't want to yell at her. She just doesn't understand." He punched the vending machine and the reflective surface showed his beat up face. "She was offering to help me out too. I'm the one who was stupid. I want to change, I wish I was stronger." He looked back at the reflection as he could clearly see the reflection of what appeared to be a monster behind him. He quickly turned around only to get body slammed by the lion-like man creature. His tongue showed to be snake like. "I ssssmell the sssscent of the half-blood. They ssssay the half-blood is female. But why you have the ssssscent." Issak suddenly recall this sensation of the pain as that of the night Rosabel. "What.. are you?" The demon stared straight into his eyes, as if it was reading his memories. "I ssssee. You have met the half-blood. Then I sssshould usssse you." Issak was struggling to fight back, but was in too much pain to move. "If it'ssss power you want. Then I will give you." The leonine creature turned into a black smog and was being vacuumed into Issak's nose and mouth. Once it disappeared into Issak, he landed on his feet as Issak's appearence started to change. His hair becoming more wild, gaining lion features, and a devil's tail. His eyes glowed red and a sinister smile sprouted. "I will find the half-blood." The possessed Issak let out a roar and was back tracking to where Issak came from.

"Uncle, you were just using demons as excuse to have me make food for you!" Rosebel angrily pouted as she watched Lucifer eat all the food she had made for supper.
"Nonsense! There's no way I would use my only niece for such purpose!" Lucifer said and continued to eat.
"You could have just asked you know. It's not like I would refuse you," Rosebel sighed and half-heartily chewed onto apple.
"I was serious about demons! I'm going with you to school as well," Lucifer explained.
"Why?"
"Because demons could be hidden in school. They could possess some human and you know that you can't sense them then," Lucifer said strictly. It was true, because being halfling means that Rosebel can't possess humans like real demons can.
"Fine I understood. But I'm not dealing with teachers," Rosebel said and went to her room. Although she didn't show it, Rosebel was worried. She has been training, but girl wasn't sure if she could defeat demon, moreover the Demon King. She was actually very glad that her uncle had come, because she felt safe with him around. After all he was the only relative she has left. Or at least the only relative that doesn't intend to kill her.
-
The memories that Issak had was accessed by the possessing demon. It lead him all the way to Rosabel's house and without hesitation crashed through the door. The sawdust spread down the hallways and he simply stepped into the house. "I smell demon repelling spells. So that is why we could not track her down." Issak took a deep breath and without a mighty roar called out for Rosabel. "Half-blood! Come out and face your maker!" Issak took another whiff of the air. "There is another demon. Who?"
-
A sudden crash startled Rosebel from her sleep. She heard someone call her name, but voice was familiar. She hurried down stairs and saw Issak, but he was somehow different.
"Issak, what the hell are you doing here?" Rosebel asked.
"Back away from him!" Lucifer yelled and quickly hid his niece behind him. "This human is possessed by demon!"
"What?!" Now when Rosebel looked into Issak, she did see that it was a completely different person in his body.
"We need to kill him," Lucifer said coldly and was ready to tear Issak into pieces.
"No, we can't! We can get in trouble for that. And killing Issak won't kill the demon! We need to catch it!" Rosebel exclaimed and pulled out her light magic staff ready to cast a spell on intruder.
-
The demon stared at Lucifer and then to Rosabel. "So you're the half blood. Disgusting. You reek of us demons, but that purity that surrounds you wants to vomit." He then glared at Lucifer. "And you, I don't know who you are. But if you are aiding the half blood. Then I wold have no choice but to take you down as well!" Issak's nails became large feline claws and he leaped towards Rosabel first. His eyes were filled with blood lust and a lion's roar came out of him.
-
Without hesitating Rosebel chanted words for strong barrier spell to capture the enraged demon who had possessed Issak's body.
"You got quite nice reactions," said Lucifer and examined the barrier. "But the barrier is not nice"
"Of course not! It's white magic, demons are especially weak to it. You're no exception, uncle Lucifer!" Rosebel explained.
"Understood. Now then, you little demon! Tell us what you know about Demon King!" Lucifer asked the demon and transformed into his true form.
-
The possessed let out an evil laugh. "I would rather be destroyed than to release the plans of our lord to the likes of you. I am loyal to our Demon King and nothing will stop me from destroying the half blood." The demon was pressed to destroy the barrier, but was failing to create any real damage to the light ball surrounded ball around him. He just kept swiping his hand at it and his strength was not working at all. "If its one thing I can do, it is be patient and wait for this barrier to last. It may be strong enough to keep me in, but something this powerful must take up a lot of willpower." Issak gave another evil laugh.
In the darkness, Issak was chained up and was coming too. HIs voice was being projected but through mental thoughts. "Where am I? It's so dark." In front of him was the image that the demon was seeing in his body. "That's Rosabel. Why am I in front of Rosabel? I thought I ran away from her... No wait, the last thing I remember... There was a monster... it went into me." Issak moved his mouth, but no sound was coming out. "I can't speak. I need to tell her to get away." He was trying his hardest to say out her name, he was working his hardest with each syllable.
Outside of the mental consciousness, the possessed Issak grabbed his head and growled. "Still have some fight left. I took a really troublesome one. Let me out already so I can kill you!" Issak now started to claw again at the barrier.
