For your female, I would think sweet and trusting, which is why he liked her and how she didn't suspect until late into the relationship. If you want to make a fierce fighter, you can have for the male, but in the end it's up to you.

That's fine. I'll make my murderer a werewolf, since I once heard that the victims of lycanthropes remain around them as ghosts. It would add another layer that he is without a pack (contributes to psychology) and that he was not registered as a wolfman (more problem with authorities, he would be more likely to get off of a crime for a disease and that would explain how he survives a lot of close calls, but the bullets he uses are silver). I could have his next victim be a wiccan or mage, unless you want to use that for yours.
