Personality
Personality: Having grown up without the ability to speak, Tyasha fell into a fairly subtle demeanor. But let that in no way interfere with her goals. She is very kind and trusting, almost to a fault. Trusting people and allowing them too much of her confidence before she knows them truly. Because she isn't able to get a fair read on individuals she meets -due to the inability to question them vocally- a lot of her opinions are based on intuition. She is a very adept person and tends to envelope knowledge through understanding her surroundings instead of what comes from word of mouth from another human.

Gear:
outfit: Tyasha is fashioned in her favourite nautical striped sweater covered in her trusty cherry red leather biker jacket. Her hips are clad in a pair of ivory skinny jeans and bottomed out with a thick pair of worn leather boots. With her neck circled in a white, red and black lined scarf, a white knitted beanie covering her head and a pair of brown leather gloves enveloping her dainty digits she is fully prepared for a chilly Canadian fall. **Recently received a heavy dark jacket with various pockets sealed with sturdy zippers and a survival pack.
accessory: Cellphone, ipod, headphones, wallet and wallet-chain, keys and a handmade yellow and white woven key ring, three elastic hair bands.
Weapon: A simple leather bound whip.
Power: The ability to control and manipulate sound. She can throw sound over great distances and dull out noise, confusing and maybe even cause pain to her target with static sound or shrieking voices. But all that comes later.
Currently she is experiencing deafness due to the volume of her own unused voice surrounding her. And the course of strength she has, is only what she can produce with her own vocals and maybe the tiny tinkering of lingering insects in the near vicinity. Nothing valuable.
Limitation: When the power is used too often, she is submitted to a sound twice as strong as the one she throws at a target, rendering her blind to any notifiable sound. The only senses that aid her during this is sight, scent and touch.
History
When Tyasha was just a little girl she lived alongside her older sister Rhysa, in an abusive and wealthy home. After many years in this situation her sister set the family's estate on fire. Which claimed the lives of both her father and mother as well as the household staff. Tyasha and Rhysa were the only survivors and Tyasha was inflicted with a severely damaged voice box and burnt vocal cords due to smoke inhalation. The doctors later told her that it was rare to lose her voice completely, and that one day it might come back. But in her case -due to emotional affects and psychological damages that were caused when she was only still a toddler- they weren't very optimistic.
After the incident her grandmother took Tyasha into her own home and Rhysa was later found to be the arsonist and was apprehended and confined to an institution to receive psychological treatment. Even though Tyasha was afflicted with such trauma she managed to come out fairly normal and happy. And she learned to live with her disability and got past the initial shock and sadness of losing her family.
Tyasha is a student in her first year of literature studies in university with a side degree in musical theory and composition -with the hopes of either becoming a journalist or a composer. Never really getting the chance to express herself vocally while growing up, caused her to be fairly timid and have a concealed personality. But she has a passion for writing because it seems to be the only way for the young woman to have her voice truly heard. Delightfully to her surprise, Tyasha has a large group of friends that care very deeply for her. Many of them were with her when she was teased -because of her circumstance- quite a lot in middle school and shortly into high school. And all of them stood up for her when nobody else would.
She is a smart and kind person, and she doesn't let her past influence her future or criticism from others hinder her in any way.
OTHER: Tyasha has burn scars covering her back, chest and trailing down her arms.
The way she learned to communicate is through sign language as well as her cellphone, by texting the person or relaying the message on the screen.
