Synopsis
Jack is an assassin and a thief. He is skilled in the magicks of illusion and comes from a very far off chain of islands called Kasenaria.
Description
Jack is scrawny and lithe, very agile and quick. Black cat ears sit atop his head of messy black hair, a black mask is always worn over his mouth and neck to hide horrible scars there. He doesn't wear shirts, as he finds them too restraining and too hot, even in cold weather. Mostly this is because Jack's body temperature is higher than normal animals and humans. He has a long black furred cat tail that often is wrapped around his waist, his forearms are almost always covered by arm warmers, simply there to hide more scars. A few self inflicted. Though the arm warmer on his left arm is considerably shorter, the one on his right goes all the way up to his elbow. Black pants..of a sort adorn his lower half, though the left leg is more short's like, with a long leg warmer attached by straps. The purpose of his pants and leg warmer is mostly to hide scars. Jack doesn't wear shoes, ever. If it weren't for his scars he would wear even less clothing.
Personality
Jack is pretty laid back and easy going. He's easy to get along with usually, though he does get a bit tense and nervous when touched. Especially his ears.
Equipment / Abilities
Jack has an almost innumerable amount of throwing knives hidden in the small amount of clothing he does wear. He is skilled in the arts of illusion magick, he has high stamina, agility and speed. Jack can change his form to that of a large, sleek panther. A black cat with no spots. Jack is an accomplished thief/pickpocket and assassin.
History
Jack was born on the largest island in the center of an island chain called Kasenaria. The islands ruled over by a woman called Ishtar, self proclaimed Goddess of Illusions. Jack has no idea what happened to his mother, his first memory is being taken away from her lifeless body and brought before Ishtar herself. She took one look at Jack and decided he was strong enough. The Queen's Avenger they called him, at first he didn't understand, but as he grew older and his training behind the palace walls intensified he realized what it meant. Ishtar had chosen him and one other that day, a wolf she called Kasen, to be raised up as her loyal, unwavering assassins. Jack never questioned this, he took it all in stride. Years flew by and when he reached adult hood, Ishtar sent him out on a real mission.
It was easy enough, sneak in. Assassinate a specific man, sneak out. Jack performed without a hitch. Ishtar was pleased. The next mission a simple heist. Sneak in, steal something, sneak out. Again Jack performed with perfection. For years and years it went like that. Jack and the wolf Kasen would go perform their solo missions separately. Then one day, Ishtar sent them out together. A two man job. At first, everything went fine, until Jack slipped. The two of them were caught, but they weren't killed. Beaten and tortured for months, until Jack found away to escape. He and Kasen left that place and returned to Kasenaria, to Ishtar. They had failed there mission, but she welcomed them with open arms.
But irreparable damage had been done to Kasen, his voice box removed, and his beautiful dark grey furred tail cut off. The wolf blamed Jack for these things, and even attacked him for it. So Ishtar sent Jack away, far to the main lands to keep him safe, though after a few months, Kasen slipped away. He hunts Jack viciously, but so far Jack has managed to keep ahead of him.
Jack is mainly an assassin and thief for hire. Though he doesn't advertise, usually those who employ him find out about him from a friend of a friend. Even Ishtar sends him jobs occasionally on the wings of doves.
Extra
Jack is not his real name. His real name is kept secret and known only to him, Ishtar and whoever Jack decides to take as a life-mate. Jack speaks a bit of elven, the language of Kasenaria, and the common tongue favored by humans of the mainlands.Here's a better picture of Jack.
