"Battle not with monsters lest ye become a monster; and if you gaze into the abyss the abyss gazes into you." Nietzsche

NAME: A.D. Reinhardt
NICKNAME: Dutch
AGE: Thirty-One
GENDER: Male
SPECIES: Epsilon-Zu-Seven Humanoid
SEXUALITY: panromantic
HAIR COLOR/EYE COLOR: Brown/Brown
HEIGHT/BUILD: 175cm/Slight Muscular
DEFINING MARKS: Dutch has a tattoo on the inside of his right forearm. It reads: 11163889//EMP//PHY//4233987

MANNER OF DRESS: Suits. No matter what station he has taken in space he has always been quite fond of a well tailored dress. It has led to many a preconceived notion about how he truly is, and he enjoys being regarded with a professional attitude first and foremost. For the most part he will always wear a waistcoat- with a jacket optional (matters on the company he is receiving).

EPSILON-ZU-SEVEN HUMANOID: On star charts the planet in which Dutch originates from is called Epsilon-Zu-Seven, but its' proper name is the Free Republic of EZS, and before that the Imperius Paradigm. Its' people are a more evolved carbon-based humanoid life-form, and are capable of extra-sensory-perception. The Imperius classified their powers based on their powers and the strength of them, and then assigned them life goals and criteria for achieving them. So many EZS humanoids that are seen outside their planet usually bare a tattoo that categorizes their power and their labeled profession. The stronger EZS denizens are never seen outside of their own planet, but many mid-powered to lower-powered one can be seen here and there. They are usually regarded as typical humans considering their similar build and characteristics, but are the farthest from it. EZS are resilient to many things humans are not, their lifespans are longer, and they usually have a filter chip inserted into their spine to allow one's abilities to be used to their full potential. They have many weaknesses, but the most glaring one is their high infection rate from neurodegenerative diseases. Many EZS humanoids go crazy, or are reduced to vegetables before they can die from old age.

Personality
THREE POSITIVE CHARACTER TRAITS: Personable/Easy-Going/Unflappable
THREE NEGATIVE CHARACTER TRAITS: Non-Committal/Off-and-On Emotions/Egotistical

BRIEF SYNOPSIS:
When one says 'pirate' they probably don't visualize Dutch. He is probably the least grizzled of the entrepreneurs of deep space, and that is not only reflected by his physical nature but also in his personality. If one was to give an analogy: he was more akin to a feather on a stream than anything else. Dutch is particularly good at 'going withe flow'. Still there is a sharp difference between the way he acts around others and his professional aptitude. The Imperius tried their best to ween out personality from their empaths, and he was no exception. So when he works he can get somewhat analytic and surprisingly callow. This sometimes bleeds into personal relations where he can shut down almost immediately if the emotional feed from the other person becomes too bothersome. Beyond that he has a personality that is near unflappable and quite proud of that.

Equipment / Abilities
DOCTOR: Despite his rather checkered past he is a certified and liscened doctor. He can perform procedures on all humanoids and a few more alien races. Yet his area of expertise is emergency and combat medicine. He'll refer most trivial problems to specialists as he figures they could do a better job than him at certain aspects of his trade. Dutch works best under pressure and can save you from the cusp of death in emergency situations, but if you want stitches that don't leave scars- he might not be your man.

EMPATH: Being an EZS humanoid means that he was born with extra-sensory-perception, and Dutch's is empathy. He can feel sentient beings in his area no matter if he can hear or see them. He can also identify extreme emotions if someone in that proximity is having them; more subtle emotions don't register with him- all he can say is that they are not in their normal mindset. Due to his doctoral practices he has gotten quite good at filtering pain in and out. Unfortunately he can't take emotions as well as he used too due to the fact that his filter chip has malfunctioned and due to his wanted status in the Free Republic he can't go get it fixed. This means he will emulate powerful emotions himself- whether he feels that way or not-, he can't pick up on lower level emotions anymore, and his sentient detection system requires quite a bit of concentration to differ humanoids from ambient life.

TRAINED SOLDIER: Due to his conflict-heavy past, Dutch can deal with tense situations where bullets are flying and people are dying. While he isn't any marine- he is well equipped to handle militaristic situations. He is handy with a gun, good with tactics, and can identify some low-grade demolitions and destroy munitions. Of course anyone else with any combat experience would be able to do the same. The one thing Dutch never mastered was hand-to-hand combat, and can be easily over powered.

History

BASIC HISTORY:
At Dutch's birth he was known as Alarick Deston Reinhardt, or A.D. Reinhardt by most government officials. He was labeled as a mid-level empath and set on a doctoral course where they honed his powers for use reading pain and stress. Sometime after he graduated from medical school (which is 18 for all career paths as they are taught to do this since birth) the Imperius Paradigm broke out into a civil war. There was the Free Republic that believed that its' citizens should select their own path, and the government that believed that this was perfection materialized.

The war raged on for ten long years before the Free Republic came out the victors. All those that supported the Imperius were either put to death or reallocated to detainment camps where they were attempted to be integrated back into society. Seeing as A.D. had quite rightly chosen the side of the Imperius he was quickly thrown into jail and brutalized for his 'commitment to tyranny'. Of course the man didn't much see his choice as pursuing some dark and dictatorial force but just attempting to keep his world in functioning order. On the eve of his execution him and a few more mid-level EZS humanoids plotted an escape and were able to flee the planet on a pirate ship.

Sometime later he ended up at an inter-planetary hub and immediately sprinted for an ID change. It was rather humorous that one of the underground agents thought accent was quite similar to an Earth country- Dutch. Mind you he can't speak a word of Dutch, but he rather liked the name and so many of his documents just have 'Dutch' under his name. He was able to continue to be licensed as a doctor, and hired his services out to many ships frequenting the galaxy. Yet he found himself pleading with the politician Addison Kinley for sanctuary- in which she would give him. Of course all of this comes for a price.

So Dutch just disappeared off the map... again.
