Biography:

October 7th, 1983 the world would welcome a newborn, baby neko girl, as her powerful lungs filled the birthing room. Although she would stop crying when she was placed in her mother's arms, a smile showing brightly on the baby's face as she gurgled up at her. Shortly after she would be named Kochou Cho Hajiki because of how beautiful of a girl she was in her mother and father's eyes. Growing up Kochou had an easy, and happy life, her parents doting on her and always spending as much time as they could with her. A perfect, and happy life... until Kochou was about 8 years old, in fact on her 8th birthday. She had gone home after school like she did everyday, except she was excited of course since her parents had told her they had a special surprise for her. Unfortunately when she came in the front door she was greeted by a horrible sight. Her parents were dead, slaughtered by someone unknown for unknown reasons. It hadn't been because they'd done anything wrong, or even borrowed money from the wrong source... they had just been unlucky, in the wrong place at the wrong time as a serial killer had broken into their home in order to hide and had killed her parents while doing so. She had hidden in the closet when she wasn't sure if their killer had left or not, and while she waited she thought about the fact that she would be taken to an orphanage because they had no living family in Japan and their part of the family had been disowned a long time ago for long forgotten reasons. Kochou didn't want to be in an orphanage, and she didn't want another family, she knew that much. She knew no one could be as loving and nice as her family had been and so she would run away before the police could even get there and take her to an orphanage. The only reason anyone would even find out about the murder would be because when she had run away she left a note at the neighbors telling them what happened..

From then on she would be living on the streets, scrounging for food and just doing all she could to survive. Just over a year after she came to live on the streets however she would be taken in by a man who was 17 and living on his own, and she would later find out was a bounty hunter. Aisu had come across her rummaging in a trash can and had asked her why she was doing so, and didn't she have a family to go home to. When she broke down into tears and told him about how her family had been murdered he had taken pity on the young girl and took her in. She allowed for that to happen because she knew with someone to care for her that she would have an easier time surviving, and he never claimed to take her in as family. They would live as roommates while Kochou would do housework for him since she was too young to go out and get a job. Things would work out well between them as she lived with him, although only a few months into living with him she would find out that he was a bounty hunter. When she found out this information she had approached him and begged him to hunt down the serial killer that had killed her parents as he still hadn't been apprehended by the police and was still on the loose. Even though he would turn her down multiple times, telling her that she couldn't pay him for his services as a bounty hunter, she would continue to beg him for it every few months. Finally when she was 10 years old he would give into her request. But she had to agree to his terms, and those terms were that she would become his apprentice, and allow him to train her to become a bounty hunter. Happily she agreed as she would have even sold her soul to have the killer brought to justice.

After Aisu had completed the job that Kochou gave him, they would get down to training. The first thing he told her as he started teaching her was that she had to pick an alias because if she gave her real name it could place her and anyone she would ever care for in danger. She knew him by his real first name only because he had taken her in, but by those who only knew him as a bounty hunter, he was The Professor because of the cold and methodical way he dealt with his prey. He also taught her that when one became a bounty hunter they had two choices in how to deal with life at that point, become VERY careful and paranoid if you wanted to keep a personal life away from the world in which you hunted, or you became only a bounty hunter and forgot about having a personal life. Those would be the only ways that one could get through life without losing others they wanted. Aisu had chosen the first, for reasons he never disclosed to her but it had been lucky as it helped him take her in. And Kochou thought that would be the one she would choose when the time came.

Over the next 9 years he trained her in everything he knew and when he felt she was ready he had started taking her out on jobs with him. And it had been quite lucky that Aisu was a neko as well because he had been able to train her in using her natural abilities for the best. By the time she was 18 he had made her start going out on her own, taking excess jobs that he had taken under his name. She did her jobs greatly well and things seemed to be going well. By the time that Kochou was 16 she had started to fall in love with Aisu, although she wouldn't tell him because she didn't want him to think that she was a silly lovesick girl. However he would know this about her, having picked up on it.

Unfortunately the worst was to come to happen. When Kochou was 20, a hit was put out on her by someone related to a target that she had gone after for Aisu and unfortunately she'd been seen. But even worst than that, it was Aisu that was hired to take the job, having taken the job before he was given the info on the target. It tore him up inside because after all the time that he had spent with Kochou he came to have feelings for her as well because she'd grown to be a beautiful neko. On the night that he was to kill her, he would go to her and tell her about his feelings for her and how proud he was of her. Kochou who entirely trusted him just thought that her dreams were coming true and she told him of course of her feelings. He would tell her that he knew about them... and from there Kochou would give herself to him. In the morning, when they woke up in each other's arms Aisu would have said goodbye to her and getting up picked up his gun and aimed it at her, tears in his eyes as he told her about how he'd been hired to kill her. Kochou could feel her heart break in that moment and he would shoot her, closing his eyes. Because of that and the way he had closed his eyes before he shot she would only be hit in the shoulder, so she would survive, but she had fainted becoming unconscious. Although she was at his mercy at that point, she would wake up again, her shoulder bandaged, with his favorite leather jacket around her shoulders. In one of the pockets he had left her a note. The note would say that Aisu had not been able to go through with it, her the one person he could not kill. He also said that he would be disappearing because it was quite possible that he would be killed for failing to kill her and when they found out their relation. He advised her to leave behind her birth name, take on her bounty hunter name and forget him.

She was devastated by this, and deep down she would feel dead inside. Taking the few things she had gotten that she treasured, and the leather jacket he left her she would leave the apartment they had shared for the last few years and started her new life. And her decision for her professional name would be Butterfly because Aisu had called her his Butterfly as a nickname and soon she became known as the 'Butterfly of Death' as she started her career as a bounty hunter.

The only thing she wouldn't ever do however would be to forget Aisu, she would keep the things he taught her and everything else in her heart so she would always remember to never trust or care for anyone as she chose the life of becoming only a bounty hunter and not have a personal life at all. But she would always keep the jacket, never allowing anyone to touch it or she would harm them dearly if they tried to damage it at all. And from then she would never let another touch her, unless it was under her conditions.
