Synopsis
A duplicitous bard with a dragon obsession

Description
Despite being not far from his city of origin, Ennis has managed to acquire the lanky, weathered look of your typical traveling bard. He packs light, wears well-used clothing, and the skin exposed to the elements is well tanned and freckled. He has a theatrical presence, given to bouts of minor acrobatics and child-like prancing. His face is equally expressive, given in equal parts to smarm, glee, feigned outrage, and anything in-between. Rarely does he appear to be taking things seriously, but he'll be earnest when the occasion calls for it.

He's a blue-eyed Imperial with a short flop of red hair and shaven cheeks. His fingers are stained with charcoal dust and traveler's grime from the road, but can find their way nimbly through acts of sleight of hand as well as across his lute. When necessary, and only then, do they reach up his sleeves for the hidden throwing daggers he keeps there. He likes attention most days, but does his best not to attract the wrong sort.

On the road, he wears his homespun traveler's garb, with the recent addition of stripped Imperial leather, at the behest of his new traveling companions. There is one item of value he seems to possess, and it is the charm he keeps around his neck on a simple steel chain - a gold and emerald medallion, worn like a lover's token close to his heart, always hidden beneath his clothing.

Personality
Ennis is a difficult man to define. Most would describe him as charming and care-free; a wandering artist and a bit of a fool. Since joining Thessaly and Arwen, he's made an impression as a hapless thief, a heartless mercenary, and a sycophantic goofball. His true face he seems to keep hidden beneath an exquisite wealth of different masks.

At his core, Ennis has a desire for fame. Like any bard, he wants to tell a story that will be remembered. When he finds he has an opportunity to travel with the illusive Dragonborn, he knows he would give anything to tell her story - a story no one has heard before. Nothing will stand in his way. Not even her reluctance to work with a liar, nor the life-threatening danger into which he plunges on her heels, even into the maw of an awaiting dragon. Not that he's looking forward to that eventuality. More often than not he's to be found several steps outside the swinging range of whatever danger they encounter, tossing daggers from afar and usually to no great effect. Outwardly, he seems to have no problems following in the wake of two heroic women, though privately, he sometimes seems a little bothered by how little use he thinks he is to them.
