Synopsis
A french noble banished to England upon returning from a trip to the new world.

Description
Name: Alexandre
Nicknames: Le batard Italien (The Italian bastard), The brave French
Age: 20
Sex: Male
Racial background: French-Italian (his mother was of Italian descent)
Social rank: Noble, Ambassador, Exiled (formerly captain of the Grande Marie)

Appearance: Alex is a relatively tall man, especially for the era, standing in at 5'11" and weighting as much as 170lbs. The bread and butter of his looks is the over-used "Tall, dark and handsome" due to his broad-shouldered elongated physique, his black hair - which he wears in a lovelock - and hazel eyes. His cliff chin and broad jaw give him a masculinity typical to the Italians at the time and his healthy but pale complexion betray his french heritage.

Clothing: Alex wears a wide-brimmed flat hat common to the previous time period adorned by a crimson feather. He dons a mandillion (wrap-around jacket) of matching black color with a similarly red brim over a long-sleeved matching linen shirt. A black hose, leather riding boots and a baldrick complete the bulk of the outfit. Finally, a simple belt and fingers with trimmed tips which reveal the jewels that betray his noble status finish the details.

Personality
Alex is a man of many words and great vocabulary... in his own language. He possesses a volcanic temper which can be triggered at the most measly of insults and an equally broad confidence in his skill with a sword which allows him to follow through with his instinctive aggression. Nevertheless, he proves to be an educated gentleman who knows to act with class when (absolutely) necessary and is an otherwise irrecoverable flirt. His somewhat megalomaniacal way of constantly embellishing the truth, his ego and his undeniable charisma lead many into believing him surreal. His "exploits" have led him to a certain degree of infamy which he dons with pride, making him a magnificent bastard of sorts. He is, however, a loyal and honest man who would never betray his word or a loved one. That said, acquiring sworn words or affection on his part is not a task easily accomplished. He hides a rather quirky imagination and belief of events future which can lead many to believe him insane, however time will come to prove him right, down to his unusual occasional bastardization of the English language.

Equipment / Abilities
A rapier worn at the belt and a trio of daggers worn in his baldrick complete the young man's weaponry.

He also possesses a small pouch in which he holds coins and a portable telescope, reminisce of his short-lived days as a ship captain.

History
Alex began his life as a noble of small stature in France with a love for the thankless theatrical arts. However, as he found a love for military arts and through a succession of duels, he rapidly gained in social status and at the early age of 19 was pronounced captain of his own ship on an expedition to the New World. Excited, he departed without giving much knowledge of the plans to his betrothed, whom arranged for their families to formally cancel their future alliance. During his journey however, the king's wife had a child, a child the king's many duties in this time of colonization had no time to be made. The inevitable truth regarding the young captain and the queen was soon revealed and a letter was sent to the new world by the king himself which read as such;

"By the decree of myself, the king of France,

I order that captain Alexandre of the Grande Marie be bound, sequestrated, and returned by way of ship to the mother
nation to respond for crimes of disrespect towards the royal family and by extension myself of the gravest sort. Following
trial under my authority of myself, he shall be punished for his crimes by flailing, following which the Italian bastard shall
be hung and left to dry in the courtyards of the castle until flesh removes from his bones."

 The remarkable swordsman, however, managed to escape from the assault of his own country's meager military on american soil and escaped upon his own ship with a feeble crew of a few loyal men, during his perils to return to Europe, he returned the following letter to the king;

"My dear liege,

As you can imagine, I very much enjoy being alive and have little interest in surrendering my pretty little head to you.
However, I can understand and sympathize with your anger. For these reasons, I shall exile myself to the land of the
English, as I know your relationships with the nation are yet unstable and you thus have little power to recover me
there, as I am sure you are unwilling to break such a frail alliance over petty old me. It is thus with a heavy heart
that I see myself leave my country and child in your care, I trust you will love and raise them both as though they
were your own.

-Sincerely, CAPTAIN Italian Bastard."

And as he said, so he did. Now, following the trade of french secrets to the English, he has been accepted within a noble educational facility where he may receive the education he desires. Little be known to him, it is there he shall meet the love of his life.
