Daniel Sleigh is just your average New Yorker or at least that's what he appears to be. He is tall and thin but not scrawny. He is in almost every way average in appearance. Most people wouldn't take a second glance at him. This is of course all to his benefit. He is actual a race of what humans call "boogeymen." This means at night he becomes a terrifying monster with skin that looks almost as if he was horrible burned. His monster form has no eyes yet can see perfectly. With sharp teeth and claws and strength more impressive than most it enables him to make quick work of the average human and hold his own against an individual GPN agents.


Personality
Daniel is just your average Joe. He tends to not have a preference one way or another unless it affects him directly. Because of this he takes orders well and rarely argues with any decision the council makes as long as he is allowed to fulfill his desire to hunt. He has no morals and will do anything to get what he wants. Fortunately, he doesn't want much but unfortunately, what he does want is to kill. He is smart and uses his brain when hunting targets, preferring to stalk them for weeks before actually killing them. He is like most serial killers in the fact that he tends to follow a pattern when killing a target. He takes his time and is patient in all that he does. He hates being rushed yet works well under pressure also. He has been told he "lacks a personality" due to his nature to follow patterns and fade into the crowd. 


Equipment / Abilities
Equipment:
Sharp Claws and Teeth: When boogeymen transform into their true selves they have sharp teeth and claws that can tear down wooden doors and easily rip through flesh and bone. Most materials shred like paper under the strength of a boogeymen's claws. However most metals are impervious to these claws.

Abilities:
Transform: When the sun rises boogeymen become a normal human in every way. They can not control this change and at night is the only time their powers are available. This allows them to escape in broad daylight if they wait long enough due to a drastic change in appearance. However, this can also condemn them if they are caught in early hours of the morning during their transformation. Their true form gives them burnt looking skin, razor sharp teeth and claws, enhanced strength, and several supernatural abilities. Their true form also has a completely different set of DNA then the daytime form. Each time he kills when in his true form provides him with energy so food is never needed if he kills often enough.

Fade to Black: If any boogeyman is in a dark place (such as in a closet or under a bed) then they can teleport to another such place within 1/10th of a mile. If the area is lit up with any kind of light then he is unable to use this ability. This ability is very tiring and if used too many times without rest will end up killing the boogeyman. This allows a large enough group of people to eventually track him down. 

Heal: With lots of concentration and effort, boogeyman can heal themselves. This ability has its limits. It takes time and if the wound is too serious it can take several nights to completely heal. In one night the most Daniel has ever healed is a single bullet wound.

Hand to Hand combat: Daniel has been trained in hand to hand combat. He has spent most of his life training in various forms of close quarters combat such as wrestling, Taekwondo, Jujitsu, and several others. This helps with the way his species kills. It has also led him to be valued within the outer circle of the council, but has also kept him as a common assassin for them.



History
Daniel was born an orphan just as all of his kind is. As an orphan, he tended to have a lot of problems. He jumped from foster home to foster home and not all the foster parents were the best of people. At the age of 6 Daniel was transferred to a foster father who was a drunk and when he would drink he would become aggressive. His foster father was found brutally ripped apart 6 days after Daniel arrived there. The police determined it was self-defense and Daniel was sent to therapy. One day at Therapy, Daniel revealed his true form to his therapist. When she saw his true form she screamed and tried to attack him. She was found dead the next day. During the investigation, the leading detective was mysteriously murdered and the key piece of evidence disappeared. Daniel had learned through this experience that he needed to cover his tracks. He had learned how to remove any future problems and knew to not get caught. 

He got into several martial arts by the age of 8 and excelled at them. He became a black belt in Karate by age 11 and had beaten most competitors nation wide. He eventually joined the wrestling and kick boxing teams at school and many said he could make a living out of it. However he soon realized by excelling so quickly and so early it attracted a lot of attention. And due to his nature he realized he needed to have as little attention as possible. He began throwing matches and quit the teams. Although he was forced to quit the teams, he practiced in secret maintaining his ability to fight. 

By the time he got into high school his originals problems had systematically disappeared. However, with high school came a whole new set of problems. On his first day of school he was stuffed into 3 different lockers. Although he escaped with ease he was still frustrated with the senior who did it. By the second day of school this senior was missing, never to be found again. During his high school years he learned quickly how to fade into the crowd and not be noticed. This helped due to the fact that Daniel "removed" anyone who he felt slighted by. By the time he graduated he had been a suspect in 32 different murders but never once was tried due to a lack of evidence. 

He eventually went to a community college and got a business degree and got a low paying job that is just enough to fill his needs. He was soon contacted by the Council of Truth, who used his skills for assassinations. His skill was very valued in the organization. Until he was order to assassinate a high ranking GPN officer. After assassinating the officer, he got caught by 3 GPN soldiers shortly after the sun rose allowing him no escape. He now waits in a metal cell that is lit up every night as soon as he transforms preventing his escape. He has awaited the experiments of the GPN for 3 days while they plan how they will test their newly captured subject.
