Synopsis
Aether; "Don’t get on my nerves and we’ll be just fine."
Description
Eveleen Syeira Campbell, age sixteen, stands at an average height of 5’3” with mocha-coloured skin, but the
rest of her is anything but ordinary. Her eyes are a warm orange and
complimented with long white hair that she often wears in a single
ponytail. She has a slender, athletic build with lightly toned muscles
giving one the impression that she keeps herself in shape.
Eveleen‘s normal attire usually consist of wearing some kind of flowing
top with a camisole underneath and tucked neatly into whatever bottom
she is wear. As for bottoms, it doesn‘t matter as long as she can still
wear her favoured lace-up boots. However, she does prefer wearing skirts
with sport shorts underneath to wearing pants. On her right arm she
wears an arm band that covers her entire forearm as extra protection for
her most dominate hand. Eveleen also carries a pair of fingerless
gloves which are used to keep a good grip on her weapons. As for
accessories, she sports a choker necklace, which she owns every color in
the spectrum. She has four sets of piercings in her ears and the
earrings are sterling silver.
Personality
Eveleen is the type of teenager one should
never take lightly. She can be extremely stubborn when it comes to a lot
of things and it will take a great deal to get her to consider changing
her mind. That being said, if she recognizes that she is wrong she will
– albeit reluctantly – own up to it.
Fluent in sarcasm, she spares no one when she is annoyed. Her tongue is
especially sharp to those her words are directed to. If her anger meter
has been pushed up, a very colourful vocabulary will accompany insults
laced with aforementioned sarcasm. Because of this nature and her lack
of hesitation to speak in such a manner, the teen comes off as a
disrespectful brat at times.
Despite her initial behaviour around someone, Eve can eventually be won
over. Should a person befriend her – and depending on how highly she
values the person – they will have her loyalty. Granted, she will still
speak sarcastically to them and even throw out some insults, but there
will be no ill feelings in her words. The other party will also be able
to tell that she’s only joking around.
Even though she may come off as a person who doesn’t “play well with
others”, the teen is surprisingly cooperative. She’s open to listening
to someone else’s ideas and, if necessary, pointing out possible flaws
in the plan and offering her own alternative. Should someone feel
discouraged, she will take it upon herself to give them her own version
of a pep talk, which is more like a string of insults if she hasn’t
established a stronger bond with them. Because of this, she most prefers
to be the leader of the group and if she’s given the chance she always
puts her absolute best efforts into getting done what needs to be done.
Equipment / Abilities
Element:
The power of Aether was given to Eveleen
because of her resemblance to the element. She possesses great willpower
and has a fiery personality. Since it is called the “fire of life”, it
was the best match.
Weapons:
Most of the time, Eve will rely on her
element in battle. However, since she has been trained for melee, she
carries a set of black steel tonfas as they still allow her to move
freely.
Strengths:
Even
though she’s petite, Eve displays a moderate amount of physical
strength. She is also quite flexible making it easy for her to dodge
attacks in a timely fashion. Out of combat, she has a bit of skill with
organizing strategies and problem solving.
Weaknesses:
Despite
her physical prowess, Eve’s dainty frame is unable to withstand a lot
of damage. If she isn’t careful, she can become seriously injured.
History
Eveleen was born at the very end of her
parents’ divorce. As a newborn, she and her identical twin, Vivian,
lived with their mother while their father visited with them every week
until they were old enough to be kept overnight.
During her childhood, she never really made the effort to make friends
with any of the other children, choosing only to play with her younger
sister instead. However, Vivian would often try to include others in on
their games, which upset the young girl quite a bit. Even still, if
someone picked on her twin, Eve would never hesitate to fight on her
behalf. Because of this, no one dared to say anything to her or Vivi.
Naturally, over time, the others got over the fact that the girl’s older
twin and began to talk to her again. With her personality, Eve chose to
shun most of them while a very select few actually got to share in the
world only her parents and sister knew.
In the times that Vivian would be away with the friends she didn’t share
with her twin, Eve would use this time to read. Her favoured genre had
always been mystery with a few romance novels for something different.
The girl’s love of reading carried over into her studies, which boosted
her grades into the top tier. Fortunately, this also rubbed off on the
younger twins as well and they both maintained honor roll statuses
throughout elementary, middle, and is even maintained currently.
In school, Eveleen was able to keep a lid on her slightly violent
streaks, but that didn’t mean it didn’t steam her when she overheard
snarky remarks about her or her sister. She would always keep herself
under control until school was over for the day. After that, she would
confront the person/people in question and a fight would start.
After a few of her after school brawls, the twins’ father thought it
would be a good idea for the eldest to learn to control her temper. So
Eve and Vivian, the latter by insistence, took martial arts classes
together. When they weren’t training with their teacher, they would spar
from time to time. This gave the older twin a proper outlet for her
emotions and somehow decreased the amount of fights she got into though,
it didn’t stop it completely. During their training, both Eveleen and
Vivian learned to use a variety of weapons, the tonfa being one of them.
The eldest showed the greatest amount of skill in using the weapons and
it eventually led to her saving up to get her own pair. Vivian remained
weaponless as she enjoyed the workout from the training as well as
spending more time with her beloved sister.
One night after the twins tired themselves out from a spar, Eve had a
very peculiar dream. Vividly, the events in the Chamber of Time were
shown to her and she was told that she was one of the chosen to help
restore time. Afterward, she began to notice a change in her body, as if
she had been given incredible power. Unlike most things, she kept the
dream and her feelings of change a secret from her sister. She knew that
soon, she would be called away and separated from her closest friend.
But it was for the greater good and if she didn’t, she would be failing
to protect those she loves.
