He is an Atheist, an Anarchist and an Asshole. He hates the religious, he hates the capitalists, he hates the System, the Man, the Government, the Righteous, the Meek and most of all...he hates the Ignorant, Arrogant Masses.

1972 Fender Jazz Bass

History
Jesse was born and raised in New York. Though, most of his life, he lived upstate; a completely different country to the Big Apple. His parents were ultra-liberal beatniks turned hippies. They died when he was 11 on the same day John F. Kennedy was assassinated. They, of course, did not die in such a glorious fashion. They drove into a tree while coming home (presumably drunk) from a memorial party. His father died on impact and his mother froze to death overnight- though she probably would have died from her injuries anyway. That was when he was shipped off to his grandparents house in Greenwich Village.

His grandparents (on his father's side) were quite wealthy, but, like his parents, super liberal. His grandfather had been a registered Communist in the early 1900's and his grandmother had been an outspoken suffragist and women's rights advocate. They raised him to think for himself, often speaking out about the things he "learned" in school. He learned all about Marx and Engels- not a popular topic in school in the 60's during the height of Vietnam. His grandfather died of heart failure when he was in High School. His grandmother started living with her "very close friend" Peggy after her husband passed away. It was through their relationship that Jesse finally came to understand his own desires for men rather than women. His grandmother took it in stride due to her own nature and helped him come to terms with it. And also warned him against telling anyone about it.

After graduation, he went to goddamned NYU where he majored in drinking and drugs and not getting caught sleeping with the pretty boys (a.k.a. Philosophy). It was here that he fell in with the punk rock scene. It was a natural fit due to his odd upbringing. His grandmother passed away in his sophomore year, leaving him the brownstone house and a healthy inheritance to keep it going. She had only asked him to graduate from college, so he did. After that, he went full on into the punk scene. Renouncing God, the Government and just about everything else in life.

He joined a small, mediocre band called Waking Bullet. They enjoyed brief and small success in the club scene in Greenwich Village. He wrote a couple of songs for them before they broke up into two separate bands- Villain and Wet Randy. Jesse played in Wet Randy with his friends Paul Black, Wendy Jenkins and Jackson Rossini. When Jackson and Wendy found out that Jesse was "not swinging for the right team" as they called it. Really, Jesse simply rejected Wendy when she made advances on him and she took it overly personally. Jackson wanted Wendy and he took it personally as well. So they got a small gang together to beat the blood and piss out of him. Needless to say, that band also broke up.

After getting out of the hospital, Jesse tried to pick up the pieces. Paul stuck by his side. The two live together in Jesse's brownstone and cruise the bars together. They are not, however, together.

Extra
  • Jesse is actually a classically trained bass player- he played stand up bass through High School.
  • Jesse is a neat freak in his house. He uses coasters for his whiskey and always cleans up his powder.
