Synopsis
A Chinese patriot fresh out of college, he has been accepted for the purpose of international unity, and intends to do his country proud.

Description
Last name Long, first name Feng. Don't get it wrong. A half-American, Chinese-born civil servant for the People's Republic of China, Feng is a middle-height, stone-faced and well-dressed man. Clothes ironed, shaved clean, hair generally a little more casual than the rest of his appearance: mid-length and pulled back all too often by his thin hands when he's thinking.

Personality
Feng was educated at Beijing University, and though he will at times politely express his dislike for the place, it forged him into the man he is today. Studious, hard-working, and humble. Feng will dress well and runs on the polite side of society, but he is not opposed to getting his suit dirty and napping in a pile of rags if need be. Coming from a middle class family was a half-blessing, but Feng has had his share of hard times as a result of the high cost of education in the city. While he's never worked with his hands and would be useless if he tried, he's known his fair share of students who have come from such backgrounds, and he has a great deal of respect for them.

While Feng is not brainwashed or a nationalist by any means--he certainly realizes his country has it's faults--he is quietly patriotic. Aware of the sort of reputation his country and his countrymen have, he has made it his personal mission to be something of a diplomat on his country's behalf--if not through befriending foreigners, than making a good impression. The latter of which is the method of choice, as despite Feng being fluent in English he suffers from the typical Chinese shyness when speaking English, and will speak it as little as possible. This, combined with his natural seriousness makes it difficult to befriend the strangers with which he has been placed. Still, Feng is not uptight nor is he a snob.

Equipment / Abilities
Feng is quite intelligent, though you'd only guess it by reading his university records or noticing the way he looks at others. Feng's abilities reflect his own mental strength--he possesses the ability to relay short strings of thought to others, though he cannot receive their thoughts in return. Feng is somewhat clunky in this regard, as he is not used to making himself think in English. Furthermore, when not distracted Feng can perform mental projection, however magnetics and thick steel can make things difficult, or even impossible, and in the worst case trap him altogether.

Finally, Feng's true ability and the reason he was brought onto the hero's team is his control over electrical currents and fields. It is this ability that, with experimentation, has allowed him some control over his own mental processes--the electrical impulses within the brain--and thus the minor abilities noted above. Feng has served his mandatory period in the military and can handle a gun quite well, and when needed can use electrical currents to stun--or worse--a person, though he is not a violent person. The drawback of electricity being it's a dangerous thing to work with, and Feng has given himself a nasty shock more than once.

History
Feng's history is a simple one. Born to a middle class family, he endured a small amount of ridicule for having an American mother but in reality it affected him very little. His family fit in well, and his mother never really made an attempt to pass on American culture, aside from a handful of old movies. He officially studied electrical sciences at Beijing University but ended up staying in university longer than necessary as he dabbled in neuroscience, political science, and history. While he graduated with honors, he had difficulty finding a job after the fact as so many university graduates in his country do, and was making wages on odd jobs when his country called on him. Asked to be the Chinese representative to the UN-overseen superhero team, Feng was puzzled but pleased and obliged to accept.
