That's understandable. I don't roleplay sexually explicit material with anyone I haven't roleplayed with for quite a long time. Some people roleplay it without knowing anything about the other player. And others can roleplay for years and never want to do it. Everyone has their different comfort levels for that sort of thing. That makes everyone 'right' for how they feel about it too. I do think that it's a good idea not to get uncomfortable with being asked as long as the manner isn't offensive. xD (Especially since you are in the Adult Access usergroup! It seems like a natural question to me. xD )
