    Her Endless Cosmos

    Floating through space,
    she woke.
    Arms wrapped tightly around her legs;
this bright spec watched in awe.

    The stars passing all around,
    their burning warmth,
    their many colors and shapes.

    What is this place?
Her voice was clear, but she did not move her lips.
    It's beautiful.
Nearly overwhelmed, wide eyes became glassy
reflecting this universe back in every inch.

    Am I lost?

Feeling as though something was wrong,
or possibly just out of place,
she called out, this time using her lips.

"Hello! I am lost! May anyone tell me where to go?"
    Hands held beside her mouth,
throwing her voice across the endless black backdrop.

The stars, they did not answer back.
The moons, they did not answer back.

Instead, she felt a sudden weight wrap around her,
    pulling her slowly backward.

"Hm?" Spinning around, her eyes made contact.
A shiny blueish orb, growing larger by the second.

"Could it be you who answered me?"
    The pulling sensation grew stronger,
    no longer was she floating.

Instead, falling - crashing. Ever faster.

A ball of color and light struck the earth,
    sending shivers through the ground
    and up his spine.

Falling back from where he stood,
no longer absorbed by the sounds
    of crashing waves below,
    he found himself distracted.

    This rare sensation of curiosity,
    it sent him searching.
For what he did not know,

And in that moment he did not know-
    he found it.

    "Hello!" She shouted, likely unaware.

Her expressions grew ever more enlightened,
as his grew ever more baffled.
That precious moment where two concious minds meet,
unable to directly process the other.

So many questions to be asked,
not enough to find an answer.

"I am lost! Was it you who brought me here?"
Enthused, she leaned in on the tips of her toes.

Cautious, he took a step back.
"N-no... I uh, where... do you need to go?"

    Silence.
A momentary pause between the two,
as the soft blue sky held the sun above them.
    Before-

    "No! Do you?"
    Still, she smiled.
Consumed by an aura of uncertainty,
she gave off nothing but feelings of childlike glee...
    feelings of...

    Hope.

    "Yes." He replied.

    "Yes." He lied.
And I hope you have not a single still moment.
