Charlie sat alone in on the hours before midnight, inside a wagon of a running subway train. Sat at the wall of the front door, with her jeans shorts covering her butt from the dirty floor. The slightly bent knees of hers pointing up towards the ceiling which had the lights dimmed to almost nothing. Her back against the wall and head tilted downwards to the left, with her hand on that same side; supporting her head whilst she slumbered, the elbow of which was down on a gym bag nicely placed beside her.

The train ran calmly upon it's rails, without a bang or a bounce but a soothing swish could be heard as it ran past the lights outside in the tunnel. These lights were only to lit up the interior in intervals, illuminating all which was within the open space; even, the feline who slept.

The cart was empty, and all who had ride with it; had by now got off. So what wasn't a flickering dimmed lamp, a rolling can or the whistle of a train pushing away air to the side as it went on, all was quiet. All until now.

First came a whining metallic grind coming from underneath the train, which would lead to the feline's eyes squinting in pain and bite together; the ears to lower and cover. Although it vanished a moment later, to invite a loud slam when the train jumped as if it was a car speeding over a bump on one side of the wheels. Throwing the feline up and infront of the door to next wagon, that of which was closed.

Certainly awaken was she now, with widened eyes and frightened of the wake-up call. Her right hand which had laid on her tummy, now steadily on the ground beside where she had been threw over to sit. In an attempt to relax after the shock, she breath out what she had held in and calmed herself with a sigh of relief,as it didn't seem to be more of it.

Charlie pulled her feets in with her heels towards her bottom and turned to the bag, putting her hands on the brown textile before letting her feets go under her and push her up. Slowly she went, and soon took the hand railing next to her, stepping over the bag and over to the window. Flinching just a little bit to the lamps outside swooshing past. She put her head, with the ear to the glass panel and looked forwards. With all she could see was the turn of the tunnel.

She leaned against the inner window-side wall, her cheek against the cold surface of glass with a smile upon her lips and tired eyes looking at where the train was headed. Calm was she, before spotting something further away when the train went around a curve once more. Only for a second would it show a danger ahead, but was enough for the feline to react.

She hastily went back to where she had been sitting, but now instead; placed her back and body tightly against the wall. Limbs flat out along the surface as she prepared for impact, glancing down at the bag in a last second; without moving her head from the wall before it happened.

Then and sudden, the train smashed into something in the front; a so, one or two wagons ahead of Charlie's own. Bitten together, her head was forced to look up and her back pressed against the wall roughly. Restrained for the moment of inertia.

As the train stopped completely, she fell forwards onto her side. A gentle groan,
escapes her muzzle whilst her eyes squinted shut. Laying still and out of breath,
she slowly slide her eyelids open some seconds after.

Blurry vision at first, she saw the floor; covered, in small pieces of glittering glass
from the windows broken above on the side wall, those she now felt a chilling wind
coming through.

With a warm pain in her back, she pushed herself up on weakened arms. Her hands dragged across the floor in towards her body, sweeping the small square pieces of glass with a rattling sound. The feline pushed up wobbly on knees and palms, letting her gaze down in the floor.

Taking it easy for a while, she heard a electric sparking noise from the roof of the wagon. In a tapping sort of way, orange glowing sparks flew down from a loose panel of the train's inner further back in the cart, in the direction the feline was facing. And then, as a big spark came, the door infront to her left, slowly slid open which took her attention.

The flashes had now stopped, and only smoke came out of the gap that the panel provided. Charlie brought her bare foot up with knee bent up to her chest in the push-up position Then extended her leg to get upright. Getting to her feet and quickly grabbed the hand railing along the side wall of the cabin.

Dizzy she surely was, as she turned her head to look along her shoulder and at the bag which was covered; much like the floor, in glass. She stepped to it, supporting herself on the railing and as she came to be as close she could whilst being along the wall. She put out a leg backwards, and hooked her foot behind the bag to then pull it towards her. Sound of scrapping against the floor as it moved over the glass fragments.

She bent down and took it up with one hand, shoving it up with a murmuring complaint to it's weight. And pulling the strap of it over her head, Letting it place itself behind her with the strap over her shoulder and chest. Followed by a turn around and walk towards the door leading out.

Coming to it, she could really feel how a tank top wasn't enough. The cold wind blowing from left to right was almost unbearable as she swung around herself to stand in the frame of the door. Looking back towards where she had come from, would only reveal the rest of the train; and the tunnel of which surrounded it.

Although with a more curious expression, she took a look towards the other direction, and further away at the front of the train; would be light, a flickering such, but still a light and not from the train itself. She crouch down, letting her hand on the frame follow slowly before she sat herself on her butt; the legs pushing out over and down to hang out.

She slowly shoved herself out and of the edge, but before that; extended her whole legs to feel the cemented ground under her feets. Charlie turned and took a hand flat on the wall of the tunnel, feeling the cold raspy cement texture in her palm and on her finger. Taking a step towards the light further away, the bag followed down with her and yanked as it fell of the ledge.

In the dark, she traveled; with her hand left hand to seek the train and the right for the tunnel, in a space for almost a squeeze to get past. The feline looked in awe as she now saw the head of the train, smashed into another even more crippled one. With the door of it hanging on one hinge, flapping slowly back and forth with a whiney metallic sound.

Charlie shuddered by the ill-sounding door, although continued. Ducking under it as she came forth, and when she brought herself up; was at the end of the tunnel. Behind the right corner now saw a far stretching floor, at the height of her belly as she stood below the platform. Thus noticing this, she figured it was a station, an old one to that too; seeing upon how torn down it was.

After having inspected it superficially, the feline had noticed a few things. Such as the swinging lamps in the ceiling, that clicked as they flickered out their light. A blue tinted shine had the floor from the lamps, this floor was as her previously experience with most things here, covered with glass. But with bigger, much sharper sherds now. Some of them crushed by larger or smaller pieces of concrete, seemingly from the ceiling which had showcased large cracks.

She gazed abit further away as she put her hands up on the platform floor, then focused on the ledge and shoved a knee up over; pulling herself up to stand gently on the grey dusty floor. Amazed with large eyes at the older train which had apparently thrown one of it's own wagons up onto the platform and into the wall, opposite to the rails.

She started to walk, but as she stepped abit in on the tile floor of the platform; heard something behind her. A noise of dragging metal was present, and as the feline turned her upper body around; letting the lower rim of her tank top to sway around her, she saw the train of hers move. Slowly at first, but soon pulled the damaged front and displaced wheels behind itself, letting sparks fly as it went behind the wall of the tunnel.

The feline pouted in dejection, feeling turned down by the train quite reasonably. She then rolled her eyes to it, but at the same time; a 'Ding!' would erupt from behind her, again. Which scared her up into the air and made her to turn to look instantly. A blue shinning light, a screen of an ATM would start. And as the feline gazed at it with arms out prepared, the screen would have the text 'JACKPOT' across it in black font.

She blinked, with a slightly open mouth to begin with; holding her eyes open wide. Seeing how it wasn't a threat, she immediately let her arms flop down and her heels to place themselves back on ground from feets standing on toes. With shut eyes and forwards leaned head, she stood for a moment and held her breath. Then puffed out and gazed at it harshly, with a line for lips.

Charlie stepped to face where the train had left of, which couldn't be heard anymore;
or even seen. A quick turn to the ATM again, as it shut itself of. Her eyes seemed
indifferent, and a hand went up; which of it's outside she used to brush of some dirt
from the fall back then, in the train.
