"Don't!" she called, just a second late as the door closed. Sighing, she hurried out of her room after him, allowing her hair to remain in its frizzy state. She had allowed herself to turn her phone off and take a few naps over the course of the afternoon. Due to her lifestyle, she had become accustomed to odd sleeping and waking hours, but it was still a bit of an adjustment to go from attempting to sleep to rushing out the door. Quickly, she grabbed her bag and pulled on her boots before closing the door firmly behind her. While she had to take the stairs two at a time, she made it to his side before a cab pulled up. "You could have at least warned me," she chided sternly, looking up at him. As she spoke, her phone dinged yet again from her pocket.
