I strongly advise that everyone listen to the recording as it will explain things I do not have written down in words. I apologize for the inconvenience ahead of time, but there were certain things I had trouble putting into written word. If you cannot access the recording, please let me know.
I. I will be artificially closing Episode One: Of New Beginnings. We will begin Episode Two: Death of Innocence in a short while. If there are any objections, I apologize, but, at this time, I will not be entertaining the opposition. However, you are still free to express your disapproval and I will listen, but it will not change my decision. In the future, to prevent such disparaging finish-times between the missions, I will take any and all measures necessary to keep both teams within close alignment. Additionally, to everyone, please be mindful of the other players within the game. It's good to be excited, but it is also good to keep pace. And, to that end, I apologize for my lack of experience in handling the issue. I was equally carried away and didn't time things as well as I could have (or should have). This should be improved by the next episode.
II. Character Episodes are an important facet to this game. There is little time for characters to reach their full potential within the actual episodes. In order for most characters to grow and reach the pinnacle of excellency, it is almost critical that characters look to having "spotlight" episodes. In every season, everyone will be allotted a total of two character episodes per season (the number may change when necessary). However, when proposing an episode pitch be sure to message the following to me:

III. Episode Two: Death of Innocence, will be available in a few short days (possibly tomorrow)!
IV. I have created a new journal (omg, do I even know how to stop?). This new journal can be considered a "fan" content, but everything within that thread is canon. This is important because ANY development in that thread will be taken into consideration for the primary storyline. This is just a fun(?) way to learn more about our characters and how they interact with each other. All the scenes within this thread occur before or after an episode (in the downtime between each episode).

Even if no one posts in it, it'll be one of my favorites! Not because it has Aomine and Kise as the cover (like you guys could even tell, lol), but because of my decision to call it: dokidoki! bonasu shinn! haha. <33 We'll ignore the fact that I have terrible handwriting, lolol.
And yes, yes, he is. Not even past the first episode yet! I'm probably just going to use this thread as a way to have Wen get a lot of action, lolol.
Also, I know I might have said: no soliloquy-material in the thread, but that's not entirely true. You guys ARE allowed to post solitary scenes (where you post by yourself). Some times, we need to write scenes that are relevant, but doesn't require the presence of anyone else. Those are important too and, obviously, can be canon. (:

I'm glad you guys like the changes! And... speaking of changes, I'm doing a pretty big one right now: Halcyon's front page.
At the moment, very little has been done. The banners have been removed and, aside from that, little else has been touched. Over the course of the coming week, I will be redoing the aesthetics of the game. I want to be clear: This will not affect the actual game in any way, shape, or form. This is purely a vanity move.

Q: What's with the Japanese text and general... anime-ness?
A: The somberness of Halcyon's original image-set was nice, but it always felt too dark and too suffocating for me. It was too serious when it shouldn't have been. Having said that, I don't believe Halcyon is a comedic-center story. I also don't believe Halcyon is dokidokikawaiidesu-piece. Truth is, Halcyon IS a dark story. It touches on morals and its inherent ambiguity. It has an overwhelming amount of death. And it asks a very important question: At what point, does doing the "right" thing become the "wrong" thing to do? And even if it is the "right" thing to do, what makes it "right?" Etc. These are themes from later in the story, but the building blocks are slowly being laid down.
So, why would I purposefully use all this bright-happy-omgwat graphics? Short answer? I like it. Long answer? My RP. I decide the aesthetics to it. Don't like it? Well... this just got kind of awkward because now I'll have to ask you to leave if you can't deal with it. ):

News of AGENT MAALIK'S conditions have spread like wildfire. The story has altered slightly with every retelling, but one thing remains consistent: gravity manipulation.
The agency has been reluctant to make a statement on the issue and AGENT MAALIK has been kept in isolated emergency care. His current situation is unknown and any attempts to see him at the hospital have been summarily denied.
Despite the somber overtones of the situation, the agency has green-lighted the teams' next mission.
EVERYONE should be arriving to the noted conference room. The meeting is set for 0930 (9:30AM).
