"-I.. don't know how to describe it. Whenever i'm in my other form, it feels like it limits me..." Of course, he forgot to mention that whenever he fought, the speed of it's growth quickened. He had no clue what would happen if it were to take over his entire body, but he DID know that he was going to keep it a secret to everyone. "Silver," He said. "don't tell anyone else about this - the text, I mean."

  2. Characters in this post:
Silver frowned at Enzo's request. Of course, the secret would remain with her, but she still didn't enjoy the thought of keeping things from others. "...Alright. But if it does get worse, tell me. I'll worry otherwise." Well, she would really worry either way, but she would still want to be informed if anything did happen. She set aside the cloths she had used to clean Enzo's wounds, and grabbed the bandages. She quickly wrapped them around his injuries, making sure to keep it tight, but not so tight it would cut off the circulation. She smiled as she finished up, patting her wound lightly. "There. All done."

Following the more than delightful meal, Acies smiled widely to the both of them. "Thank you so much for your aid." He'd let out on a tone that was more serious than before, now that he was no longer threatened by starvation, his stoicism returned to him. "I'm afraid I forgot what we had agreed upon as your payment, ask me for any one thing. If it is within my power - or wealth - it is yours." His offer was quite generous, but as far as Acies was concerned these two people were responsible for his survival, so he owed them at least this much.

  4. Characters in this post:
Voli's expression fell slightly more. Faye's story of how she lived in poverty tugged at his heartstrings a bit. Mostly because she was a valued friend to him now and that she could relate to him in certain ways. He placed his sandwich down on a paper towel on the coffee table in front of him and turned his head slightly towards her with slight sorrow in his eyes. His fallen eyelids halved the faint glow his red iris'. "You know... I had it a little similar. 'Cept me and my older brother did odd jobs to get our own little snacks. We didn't like the food provided by the orphanage much." He picked his sandwich back up and took a sizable bite out of it, slowly chewing to savor his food. He leaned down a bit with his hand reaching out as if he was grabbing for a glass then it hit him that there wasn't one to begin with. Like a shock to his senses, his hand slightly jerked back at the realization that he was grabbing at the air. He gave off a muffled chuckle as he got up to grab himself something to drink from his fridge.

Acies' appreciation was sooner given than expected. Angelo blinked at the proposal to ask for his reward but his humble nature took over in place for the slight greed that may creep up on him when asked to take some given wealth. All he could do is let his shoulders fall and give a half smile to the offer. It was a such a easy task for him he figured that a reward wouldn't be truly necessary. After the half grin he shook his head to Acies, declining the offer. "That's quite alright, Acies. You don't need to give me anything. I'm pretty alright. Good to see you're doing a bit better, I wouldn't have taken you for the more stoic type. But keep your money and other valuables you may have to offer. You'd need them a lot more than me I feel."

Faye tilted her head slightly, when Voli remarked about how he had a older brother, and both of them were in a orphanage. It was something new she learned of him, making her smile a bit. She also saw the sorrow in his red eyes, and had to look away from it. She didn't like being looked at with sadness in people's eyes. It made her feel like they pitied her. But in this case, Voli had a similar lifestyle, so that didn't cause the usual feeling. When he suddenly reached out in the air, then grabbed at nothing, she saw him jerk in surprise. She laughed softly at that, shaking her head. "Someone's a little space cadet right now." Chuckling, she reached down to pick up her sandwich. Her stomach finally settling down once more, as she started to eat once more.

When she felt her stomach curl a bit, she would stop and reach for her glass of milk instead. Faye's eyes watching Voli the whole time. She then spoke bluntly in a soft low voice. "Voli.....about what you said, back in the vehicle...." Faye was talking about their feelings. It wasn't much of a good subject change, but it was better then silence. At the moment, the young female didn't want that right now.

"It's not in my nature to insist." Would be the simple reply Angelo would receive from Acies as the man stood up and wiped his mouth clean with a piece of cloth before folding it neatly and setting it on the table once more. "I've had a goal for the past five years... I was so focused on it I neglected to build any form of stability." He came to realize with regret, standing there in silence.

  8. Characters in this post:
From the short distance he was from Faye as he walked back into the quiet living room, he heard her low voice creep through the sudden quiet, asking about what he said back in the VTOL in Juro's Safehouse. His eyes widened and blinked slightly. He held his cup of grapefruit juice in his hand and wobbled it back and forth to try and ease off some of the tension he felt from her conversation change. He sat down slowly, careful to try and not spill his juice or trip over something in his nervousness. If they were going to talk this over it would be better now that they were alone and could air any opinion they had. Looking away for a bit Voli had curved his lip, feeling a little guilty for not really giving her an answer before. He let his lip relax before turning back to her, giving him all the attention he could. "Yes, what's wrong?" He asked shyly.

  9. Characters in this post:
Angelo watched Acies get up but stand in silence. The man seemed bugged by something Angelo had assumed. A bit puzzled and worried his eyebrows fell slightly in concern to Acies. "Something wrong Acies?" Angelo asked.

  10. Characters in this post:
Snapping from his state of stasis, Acies turned to Angelo with his now almost shockingly neutral expression. "No, nothing much. I just realized that with the school gone, I'm short of any real purpose." He'd let out, speaking of such a personal detail like it were the weather. "You'd think in five years of travel you'd find a purpose or another, but I was so hellbent on finding the school I didn't much concern myself with anything else, perhaps the trip would've felt less like a waste if I had paced myself." He continued, running a hand through his naturally gray hair. "Perhaps I'll take part in the war or something... If nothing else, I'm terrible at dying." He half-joked, but there was no humor to detect in his tone.

  11. Characters in this post:
Enzo nodded in agreement with Silver. He could trust her with such things. The only worry now is if she were to worry too much. He knew well enough what happens when you let emotion take over in a decisive battle. After she had bandaged him, he thanked her, stood up, and went to the closet, which was in his bedroom. At this angle, Silver would be able to see Kenji's old adult clothes isolated from everything else with his fedora on top. It looked as if Enzo hadn't moved it since Kenji put it there.

Enzo grabbed a casual looking shirt, which covered up the text - but not the arm bandages - and reentered the room.
"You should hit the showers now. The water will get cold at certain times of the day."

  12. Characters in this post:
Silver watched as Enzo went to get another shirt, and noticed the familiar clothes and fedora. She felt a sudden spike of nostalgia pierce her mind as she saw it, and quickly looked away when he came back into the room. Looking back to him as he spoke, she nodded. "Ah, alright.." Truthfully, she wouldn't mind a cold shower. Cold showers could be nice sometimes, depending on how she felt prior to the shower. But right now, a nice hot shower sounded just right. Silver went into the bathroom, closing the door behind her. She turned on the water and slowly slipped off her clothes before stepping into the shower. She was enjoying the warm water running over her skin.

Eli woke up in his own bed for the first time in a while, which he was glad about. He sat up, and put on a shirt before heading out to his kitchen to grab something to eat. After pouring a cup of coffee and grabbing some toast, he sat down to read a book he had been reading a for a while. His wound had been healing, and he began to wonder what he should do. Eli wondered where Dass was, and if he might be able to find him again. Perhaps a visit to his home would be good. Eli decided he'd have to do that later.

  13. Characters in this post:
Meanwhile, back at the warehouse, Juro kept hard at work on piecing together clues with Argo, although that was hard to do because he couldn't stop paying a glance over to Nami for more than a minute. Juro would remind him to focus on the matter at hand.

They both had different experiences at the castle. While Juro did not get a good look at the soldiers, Argo did. Juro tried his best to pry out information from the Italian, but it was like talking to a drunkard. His energy had been drained due to the kissing.

Juro ended his fourth attempt at communicating with Argo with a frustrated huff. Just as he stood up to leave the room for a moment, Argo froze him with his words.
"You ever think about going to your Brotherhood buddies for help?"
The thought bounced around Juro's head. It wasn't what people thought. He wasn't working for the Brotherhood at all, but that didn't mean that Argo's idea of asking the Brotherhood was a bad idea. "That.. might work - not for us, they'll kill us - but for the Guardians. They'll accept magicians.."

Juro tapped his chin and spaced out for a moment before nodding. "Yeah, that'll do just fine, Argo." He patted Argo on the shoulder and ran off to command Eve to message the others through their cell phones.

A few minutes after that, the text was sent, saying:

Before he could talk, Dora's tiny fingers worked their literal magic into his tense shoulders. With an exaggerated and happy sigh of relief, his body melted into her hands letting them ease the pain that had been sitting there since he left Sorcerers. "That's much better." Marcus spoke slowly and deliberately, his body completely relaxed. It had been a very long time since his last massage, and if Dora could see the goofy smile on his face, she'd know it was the best one he has ever had.

Joseph leaned into Dass and his voice sank significantly, "Mr. Tisdale, I'm sure you know all about magicians, their abilities and their destructive tendencies. Well, Mr. Tormod has been trying for years to develop a device that nullifies all magical abilities. And though he is a genius, there are a few technical issues he nor his staff are able to figure out. This is where you come in. In your desk sits the logs of the events from the project's creation to only a few hours ago. We would like you to review these logs, the rough draft schematics, and blueprints to help us manufacture the Magic Nullification Device. And of course, you have the entire building and its members to complete the project. We have complete faith in you. Once it is completed, you will be a hero to the world. When put into affect, all magical users will become mere mortal, the way God intended it to be. I want you to know that this is not genocide, we are not killing the magicians. We are simply making them like us. Human." He stood up and extended a hand, "I apologize for the inconvenience, sir, but I have another appointment. It was a pleasure meeting you, and welcome to our team."

The door creaked open and he heard the cocky magician's voice. "Mr. Eirsith," Felix peeked at the clock on the wall, "seems you are on time. That is a good sign." He stood up from his chair and approached taller gentleman. "On the desk is the book. I want you to tell me what you know about from first glance. Then, I will escort you to your new accommodations."

  15. Characters in this post:
Dass stood up too and shook the man's hand. "Thank you." He sat down again when Joshep left. "The way God intended it to be? I don't believe in God. Sue is more trustworthy than God." He sighed. Well, he was right. It's not genocide, but with all that people out there hating the magicians. . ." He didn't like them, himself, but not all of them were bad. He thought about Eli, he was a magician and he didn't look destructive, he even helped that junkie in the street. On the other hand, they had dangerous powers and not all people was able to have that powers, unlike technology, everyone could have a mobile, for example. "Maybe is good to balance the scales." He stood up again and stretched. "Anyway, I'm gonna bring my things here." He exited the building and took a taxi to get to Candy's house. After paying he remembered that he didn't have any keys to the house so he rang the bell, hoping that Candy would be home.

Faye frowned at what Voli did, when he looked away, then looked back while asking softly, of what about it. She made a face slightly, but just stared down at her hands as she thought of what to say. She spoke slowly, while her hands were clasped together. "About how you said, we talk about the...feelings more when we are alone and such." She shrugged, and continued to speak while looking down. "To be honest, you don't really have to return the same feelings I feel, if you don't have them. I just....want to know what you think or feel. If you don't really feel that way, then that's okay...." Faye slowly turned her crystal gaze up to him, her face slightly serious. "All I ask, is that you don't mind if I keep my feelings about you is all. I can live, knowing you wouldn't feel the same way. It's not like it's life or death. I just....I just want to get it out in the open, so I'm not all jittery around you anymore."

Suddenly, music of a kid's anime popped up in the silence of the room. Coming from Faye's jacket pocket. She jumped at that, but blinked when she recognized her ringtone for messages. Pulling it out, it was one of those classic flip phones that most young girls had. This one, was a deep blue, with a collection of strange cell phone acessories. Most of them, were different mini images of anime characters.

Popping it open, Faye read the message and let out a sigh. "Look's like they found something." Closing her phone shut with a snap.

Voli kept a hooded stare at Faye as she spoke further about her feelings towards him. She admitted that him not feeling the same wouldn't be troubled if he didn't feel the same, but was still curious to how she felt about him. Thinking about it, he wasn't sure how he felt still. Part of him did like her from her friendly nature towards him and her beginning to grow on him, another just wanted to remain a good friend of hers. A moment of silence fell in the room before her phone's ringtone ceased the silence between them both. There was a message on her phone but from where he was he didn't see what it was. The smaller text on her flip-phone was pretty tricky to read through from his position. His only idea of what the message was is from her mentioning that "they" found something. He could only assume they as Argo and Juro. No more than a few minutes it went from a near sentimental moment to business, Voli wasn't surprised. But he wanted to air this now while they had the privacy. "Well Faye, I'm not too sure how I feel about you... It's been awhile since I last felt they way you feel about someone but that was always a shock to me. I never understood why it happened or if it was real. My own self esteem that was doubting that I could pull such a close relationship with someone with my own chaotic life and personal demons. I'll be honest... Part of me wants to like you just as you do me, but another is just not willing to put you in the danger of feeling such strong emotions for me and then something were to happen to me in this conflict we're all having. Maybe if the circumstances were different I may be a bit more open to returning the favor Faye. Unfortunately, I don't think right now is the best time to worry about that. We don't need our emotions driving us to take dangerous risks in the face of actual danger." He turned to her with a weak but reassuring smile. He could understand how she may have felt and didn't want to put anymore of a burden on her on top of the ones she may have had. He leaned to her and pulled her into a tight hug. It may not have been much but it was all he could offer for right now. Maybe later he could offer more to Faye.

Faye listened to what Voli said, about how he may have feelings for her, but didn't know fully. As well, he remarked about it wasn't the time for it. She made a face at that, but smoothed it into a slight blank expression as she looked to Voli when he gave her a weak smile. She couldn't help it, she gave a softer smile towards him, as she spoke softly. "I may not know much about these types of feelings, but if I know one thing, is that we are both humans. And has humans, we always feel. We just can't push them away to the side that easily. If we did, we wouldn't really be all that human, would we? You still feel, you feel for your friends, you care for them greatly. That means that you are human. I cared for my family, and wish to know the truth and revenge on them. That's what I feel as well as a human." Shrugging, she leaned back a bit. "All I'm saying is, that even if you don't want to push it forward, your own feelings will reach out and hit you from behind then you least expect it...."

That's when Voli did something that Faye never had in a life since her family died. She got a hug. The tight hug, threw her off a bit. She stiffened slightly in surprise, and her eyes widen. As she just remained like that, she slowly relaxed as she blushed a bright red. But at the same time, she felt something wet fill up behind her eyes. Crap, was she crying? Before she could think on it, she blinked and felt the tears slide down. "A-Ah, thanks...." She mumbled out, she clenched her eyes tightly, to stop the tears from stopping. Reaching forward she placed her hands on Voli's arms, and then moved away from the hug a bit. She continued to speak in that murmur, as she stood up a bit. "Lets get going, I actually know where a Brotherhood member would be at, if we go looking for them...."

And it was true. A while back, Faye had been talked to before by a member of joining. She out right refused, since she didn't trust ANY organization while she was searching for the truth. Reaching up, she rubbed at her eyes, as she started to clean up her meal. The only reason that Faye ended up crying, is that it had been a very long time since she recived a hug. The last time she gotten a hug, was from her grandfather, who was praising her about her ability to summon Sin easily for the first time.

Angelo grimaced slightly at Acies mentioning of the war. While he would appreciate the aid if he were to give it, he hated the thought of this sort of Civil War between parties. Thinking about it reminded him he'd have to get back to the others but had no idea where they were. This was usually where his Flame Detection came in handy. Standing up after Acies, Angelo had a confident grin on his face. "Acies, I think I know how you can repay me..."

  20. Characters in this post:
Looking to Angelo with a dubious expression, Acies crossed his arms. This was the first time he saw the man actually smile, then again he hadn't known him for long. At this point the gray-haired young man did not have much to lose and - after all - he had promised he would repay Angelo in some kind of way, so furrowing his brow, he'd finally opt to answer with a simple; "...and how may that be?"

  21. Characters in this post:
Today was the one day that Candy had off, the day she was able to relax and spend the day to herself doing whatever she'd like instead of doing something for someone else. She had just gotten out of the shower when she heard a ring from the doorbell, and looked to see a familiar face standing outside. A slight smirk spread across her face as she put a towel around her hair, and wrapped a bigger one around her body before going to the door. She opened it, some parts of her body a little wet, and held it open for him to come in. "Come back for your things, I take it?" she asked as she put a friendly, casual smile on her face.

Silver had finished up her shower, but at this point she was just letting the water run over her skin. She pushed her hair back, rubbing her face with her hands a bit before turning off the water. As she dried herself off, she went to check her phone, and saw a message from that kid from earlier. Juro. How did he even get her number? She shrugged as she read the message, figuring she'd ask Enzo about it. As she wrapped her towel around herself, still a bit too damp to put clothes on, she exited the bathroom to try to find Enzo. Once she did, she looked at her phone, then back to him. "Hey, Enzo, did you just get a message from Juro?"

  22. Characters in this post:
Angelo made a single nod towards Acies. His proposition could give him a sense of purpose and maybe some action here in Japan. He finally answered; "You could join me in the Civil War." A bit unorthodox to say in public, though luckily not too many were paying attention to the two. Angelo figured that Acies may be a avid addition to the Guardians and other group members.

    -------------------------------------------------------

Voli followed behind Faye, getting up and wrapping his sandwich up to finish later. He was at least glad to have given her one heartfelt gesture that she very well deserved. Through the corner of his eye he saw her rubbing her own; Was she crying? It only made Voli a little more worried about how she was feeling in the current moment. After cleaning up behind himself he went back to his room to find some proper clothing to wear, fit for going out. His only change to his attire was his pants, and shoes with the addition of a hoodie. He didn't feel the need to change his shirt. Though it could only be his lack of care when finding something to wear. He rejoined Faye in the living room sporting a more friendlier smile than before. "After you."

  23. Characters in this post:
When he realized that Candy was naked under the towel his face reddened as he looked away. "I... hmm.. err... yes..." He stood where he was, unable to move or say something coherent. It took a couple of minutes for him to relax and think clearly again. "There's a full house there in the complex, I'm planning to stay there." He, eventually, moved and entered the house, closing the door. "Thank you for everything." He said with a tiny smile.

  24. Characters in this post:
While Silver was in the shower, Enzo had been watching TV. There wasn't anything interesting. The media blamed the Brotherhood for the explosion that had occurred in town a while ago. And on that topic, people were advised to stay indoors for the next few weeks because of terrorist activity going on. That was when Silver's voice caught his attention. He looked over to see her wrapped up in a towel. His face flashed red until she had mentioned something important. "A message? No..?"

Just to be sure, he reached for his cell which was on the couch he was sitting on. He checked through the messages, and there it was. Apparently, his cellphone was on silent for the longest. He huffed in frustration and quickly read the message. The thought of looking back at Silver made him blush, so he pretended that he was reading other messages that he 'missed' as he talked. "We'd better get back there soon." He stated.

Just after that, another text was sent by him.

    Spoiler Spoiler

Enzo raised an eyebrow when the second message came up. This time, it had details on what should be done. Seeing as to whom it was sent to, he and Silver would be meeting up with the Storm Guardian and Faye. "Ayyee.. Can we ever get a break?" Enzo huffed.

  25. Characters in this post:
Acies closed his eyes briefly, apparently pensive but far from surprised. It wasn't so much that he saw the proposal coming, but when you spend a full 5 years travelling the entirety of the globe, you see things... things that make such surprises difficultly impressive. "I do owe you the favor... but I will never harm the defenseless. If you can agree to that condition, I will gladly join you." In truth, Acies was happy with the motivational prospects of such a large cause, but even that aside, he was fond of the idea. However, he had few but unbreakable moral rules which he had to ascertain would not go against the wishes of his future comrades.

  26. Characters in this post:
Candy watched as Dass turned bright red and eventually entered her home. As his back was turned, she smirked at his innocence. His smile was adorable. "Hmm? Not a problem, my door is always open for you." After a few seconds, she remembered he was working for Felix. Turning and letting the towel on her head drop to the ground, she went back into the bathroom, deciding to at least put on some underwear. In the back of her mind, she figured today would be a good day to pay a visit to Mr. Tormod. She slid on her panties, followed by her bra, and then a loose short nightgown to cover her a bit more as she walked to the bedroom. As she walked in, she called out to Dass. "Say, you said you were working with Felix Tormod, right?"

Silver stared at Enzo as he turned bright red and checked his phone, wondering if she did something wrong. She felt her phone vibrate again, and looked down at it to see another message. Reading it, she sighed. "Do you think I'll actually get to do something now?" she asked Enzo, a bit hopeful and eager now that she received the texts. She felt like she was part of the loop now.

  27. Characters in this post:
Dass was taking his bags when Candy asked him about his work. He stopped for a moment to look at her, just to discover that she was only wearing a nightgown and her underwear so he turned again, his ears completely red and kept packing. "Yeah. Why?"

  28. Characters in this post:
Enzo was honestly surprised Silver still wanted in on the action. At first, he was going to totally reject her, and tell her to stay back, but then he remembered that she was the Guardian of Mist. She had just as much of a reason to fight as Volitaire or even Enzo himself.

"I.. guess so.." He replied weakly, standing up from the couch. He avoided looking at her as he made his way to the other room to get prepared properly. Chances were, Volitaire and Faye were on their way already.

A few minutes, he went back to the front door. Hopefully, Silver would be ready to leave.

  29. Characters in this post:
Jacen walked forward and looked at the book in front of him.
He adjusted his shades before clearing his throat. "Very old...an ancient Arcane language, but I can't tell you what it says. This was made before any of us...or this-Jacen motioned towards the office's window, offering a view of the city. -was even here. Looks to be almost secular...as if it were created in a monastery of sorts. That's all I can gather from looking at it."
He turned to Felix and lowered his glasses. "Now about these accommodations?"

  30. Characters in this post:
Angelo nodded in acknowledgement towards Acies' one condition. It was easily accepted as he wouldn't harm an innocent human as well. With another new addition to the group of Magi and Soulless Angelo felt a little more confident in a victory. Acies looked like the type of man to have seen the word and gathered his discoveries into his own wisdom. Angelo felt he made a good choice in making a proposition for him. "I wouldn't harm an innocent man or woman either. But who we're battling against would undergo the act of genocide for his beliefs. I'm glad you decided to join me. We'll have to go find the others and introduce you. Come, Nilla." He turned to face Manilla who was sitting beside him. Her blank face in the current situation made him wary of what she was thinking.
