Outside the sight of the majority, wars and battles have been fought and lost between humans, demons, gods, angels, devils, shadows, and monsters. Humanity has always managed to eke out a little more time, to push the date of the apocalypse back just a bit farther.
This time, those heroes and their companions who had led the battle for humanity's continued existence have been locked away by those that seek the end of humanity.
Background
To put it simply, there are three types of humans in the world in this RP: Mundanes - The faceless masses, Persona Users- those who wield the mask they wear against the hardships of life, and Demon Summoners - those who wield the powers of beings both demonic and divine.
Let's get in depth, shall we?
Persona
A Persona User is someone whose powers come from inside of them and take the form of various deities, demons, heroes, and villains. They are usually aligned with one of the twenty two Major Arcana: Fool, Magician, Priestess, Empress, Emperor, Hierophant, Lovers, Chariot, Strength, Hermit, Fortune, Justice, Hanged Man, Death, Temperance, Devil, Tower, Star, Moon, Sun, Judgement, and World. Each Arcana represents various characteristics and traits that the person and Persona aligned with them should embody. I expect you to research this on your own, Aye? In this RP, each Persona User will have two Arcana that they are aligned with, so you can make interesting combinations.
Personae provide attacks of the same variety as Demons, those will be gone over later.
Each Persona User has an Initial Persona and an Ultimate Persona, these should be uniquely designed just for your character! Ultimate Personae are only achieved through the User realizing their true path and moving towards their Answer.
Persona Users also reap the benefits of being physically empowered by their Personae, making them share weaknesses and strengths, also allowing them to fight on the front lines against the enemies that will be encountered. That is not to say that a Persona user can't be a support-type character, just that front-liners are more common. This also means that they have access to less Personae than a Demon Summoner would have access to in terms of Demons and less variety.
Demon
A Demon Summoner is someone who summons Demons, Deities, and Divinities into battle as their defense and offense. Demons and their summoners follow a classical Alignment system of Law, Neutral, and Chaos, in tandem with Good, Neutral, and Evil. These Alignments can be mixed, but make sure that your characters' personalities reflect that. For example of Alignments: Lawful Good - Metatron The Voice of God, True Neutral - Trumpeter The One Who Signals The End, Chaotic Evil - Loki The Trickster God.
A Demon Summoner lacks the specialization of a Persona User and instead opts to be a Jack of All Trades, able to summon any demon that fits within their alignment of Law, Neutral or Chaos giving them the option of variety and as well as being able to act as any sort of mage type with spells ranging from magic attacks to healing to status effects to support of any sort WITHOUT their demons, albeit weaker.
It should be noted that Demons of True Neutral Alignment are capable of being wielded by summoners of any Alignment just with greater difficulty. There will be one Demon/Deity/Divinity that is considered the ultimate summon for each Alignment to match the number of Demon Summoners. THEY WILL BE DIFFICULT TO GET ACCESS TO, DON'T EVEN THINK THAT IT'LL BE A FREE LUNCH.
MAGIC MECHANICS
Magic will follow the same system as the standard Shin Megami Tensei universe, with each Demon and Persona specializing in one or two of the elements. The Elements are as follows:
Fire: Fire spells use the word "Agi" as their basis and lowest form of spell, the Agi spell takes the form of a small ball of fire. Fire spells climb in power in three tiers as every other element does, these tiers being: Agi, Agilao, and Agidyne. Multiple target fire spells use the prefix "Mar" to become Maragi, Maragilao, and Maragidyne. The strongest forms of the Fire spells are the single target Ragnarok wielded by Surt of the Magician Arcana or The Tyrant (Chaotic Evil) Alignment, and the multi-target Maralagidyne belonging to Mara of the Tower Arcana or The Fallen (Chaotic Neutral) Alignment.
Ice: Ice spells use "Bufu" as their base and lowest form of spell which manifests as shards of ice. The three tiers of ice spells are: Bufu, Bufula, Bufudyne, with the multi-targets being: Mabufu, Mabufula, and Mabufudyne. The strongest forms of the Ice spells are the single target Cocytus which has found its way into Fenrir of the Strength Arcana and the Wilder (Neutral Evil) Alignment while the multi-target spell Niflheim has gone to Hel of the Death Arcana and the Reaper (True Neutral/Neutral Neutral) Alignment.
Wind: Wind spells are based off the word "Garu" which manifests as a small razor wind. The three tiers are: Garu, Garula, and Garudyne, with the multis being Magaru, Magarula, and Magarudyne. The Strongest single target Wind spell is Panta Rei belonging to the Norn of the Fortune Arcana and the Megami (Lawful Good) Alignment with the multi-target being Wind Of Verethragna belonging to Verethragna of the Sun Arcana and the Deity (Neutral Good) Alignment.
Electric: Electric spells use "Zio" as their base and it manifests as a small lightning bolt. The three tiers are: Zio, Zionga, and Ziodyne, with the multis being Mazio, Mazionga, Maziodyne. The strongest single type spell is Overcharge belonging to Zeus of the Star Arcana and the Pantheon (Lawful Neutral) Alignment, the strongest multi target spell is Thunder Reign which is in the hands of Odin of the Emperor Arcana and the Deity (Neutral Good) Alignment.
Dark and Light: Dark and Light spells both utilize a system of the fact that if they connect they automatically kill or knock the enemy unconscious. Dark spells use "Mudo" as a base and manifest as small magic circles in pale purple that release a noxious black miasma, they are Mudo, Mudoon, Mamudo,and Mamudoon. Light spells appear as golden holographic exorcism tags that ensconce the enemy, they are Hama, Hamaon, Mahama, and Mahamaon. The strongest light spell is Samsara which is the property of Daisoujou of the Hierophant Arcana and the Fiend (True Neutral) Alignment, conversely the strongest dark spell is Die For Me! belonging to Alice of the Death Arcana and the Fiend Alignment.
Almighty: Almighty spells are basically the one attack that can bypass any defense with exception of some boss skills and they hit every enemy in the vicinity of their release. They are as follows Megido, Megidola, and Megidolaon. The strongest Almighty spell is Morning Star which belongs to Helel of the Star Arcana and the Maou (Lawful Evil) Alignment.
Healing: Healing spells heal a certain amount depending on how powerful they are, meaning that the weakest spell heals the lightest of wounds and the strongest spell can heal almost the entirety of fresh wounds. The spells to heal wounds are Dia, Diarama, Diarahan, Media, Mediarama, and Mediarahan. The spells to heal status ailments such as poison, paralysis, petrified, enraged and frightened are Patra and Me Patra. There are also resurrection spells to revive fainted allies and dead Demons, they are Recarm which heals a person slightly upon revival and Samarecarm which heals a person greatly. The strongest healing spell is Salvation which is in the hands of Metatron of the World Arcana and the Herald (Lawful Good) Alignment.
Fusion
Fusion is an integral part of making your character stronger in that it fuses two or more Demons/Personae in order to create a new Demon/Persona, this is important as both types of supernatural entity start slowing down on how quickly they gain strength. The Demons/Personae used to fuse the new entity also have an effect on it through Skill Inheritance, which allows them to keep skills that those used to fuse them knew. It is also of import to remember that others can fuse their entities with yours in order to attempt to pass on certain spells/skills.
When you wish to fuse some Demons or Personae please send me the information on the fusion materials and the result via the OOC, I will then assign each skill that the materials know a number and then roll a die the corresponding number of times to fill the skill slots, of which there are eight.

Synopsis: Give your character a title, mine is "Death of the Empress" at this time.
Description: Age is a must but twenty is the oldest a Persona User can be, whereas Demon Summoners have no age limit. Physical Descriptions are also quite useful, try to keep the hair in the spectrum of normal colours too.
Personality: Your character needs one.
Equipment/Abilities: Put your Strife Specibi- I mean, your characters chosen weapon type here, along with the Demon or Persona they begin with, they will have their own templates which I will write below.
History: Give them a back story, it can be funny, tragic, or just a normal life, but their first encounter with their power must be described.
Extra: This is where you put your character's likes and dislikes, their weaknesses and strengths (1 weakness per 2 Strengths), and any Trivia you feel is necessary. Theme Songs can also go here.

Description: Angra Mainyu appears as a person of unknown gender whose body is covered in tattoos that are repulsive despite the fact that they seem to be more splatterings of ink than actual images. Its upper body is bare but lacks any form of secondary sexual characteristics and is hunched over, making it seem as if an immeasurable weight is upon its shoulders. Its lower body is wrapped up in a black cloth kilt of sorts that hides the entirety of its lower body with the exception of its feet, which also bear the repulsive tattoos. Its head is wrapped in a single piece of red cloth which allows only its eyes and hair to be seen, the eyes themselves are like swirling pits of empty darkness with no sign of a natural eye. Its hair is an unruly mop that cascades backwards down its back and past its feet.
