The basic premise of Nonu Maihel Online (NMO) is that it's a virtual reality world that allows its users to escape the mundane tasks of life. Think of it like Tron: Legacy meets Avatar meets World of Warcraft. It's pretty much a giant MMORPG site only it's virtual. A simple upload allows a user to engage in an endless amount of fun and adventure.
Uploads require the purchasing of the proper headgear. The headgear is attached to the gaming system and can only work when the user is asleep and dreaming. The headgear (called DreamGear) stimulates the unconscious mind and forces the user into the virtual world. Normally, to exit, one would either log out of the game via the main menu or have a family member shut off the system. The other way to exit is to beat the game.
Users have the freedom to dress as they desire but are limited to only one weapon type (e.g. a sword, bow, scythe, etc.). They can fight other users or just engage in the main mission. Items, money, and experience can be gained and used to make completion more successful. Guides and clans are possible player choices to select from and can turn the independent game into a team game, which can build social skills.
Due to the surreal appeal to the game, such functions that stimulate the senses are truly experienced by the user's physical body outside the game. For example, if a woman were to touch you in a warm embrace and follow that up with a kiss, your cheeks would not only flush in the game, but they would burn brightly outside the game as well. If one gets sick outside the game, however, this does not impair the in-game avatar. Only in-game symptoms can be felt outside of the game. Granted, such things are usually only minor. However, glitches and bugs have been known to occur, causing serious damage to the physical body. Worse case scenarios would include... death. But don't let that little downer stop you from playing the game!

Yay! I'm glad someone other than myself is looking forward to this! I really just wanted a game that was both open and structured. I'm hoping a few other people will join and then I can work on posting and getting this bad boy going.
I totally came up with that. Duke was like, "OMGGGGGG, I WILL HAVE YOUR WATCH." I feel like when they bump into one another, he should be all like, "Da faq are you?" Then notice the watch and be like, "Betch, why you have a girly wristband on meh watch?!" XDDDDD Although, knowing Bluice, he'll blush and run away. He's such a woman at times. XD

Ha ha. Nothing wrong with an imbalance of genders. It's not like love is going to be a good thing in this game.It'll only lead to more issues and complications. But if you wish to make another character, I wouldn't object. Just be certain you'll be able to post with both.

SAO is where I got the idea from. Saw one episode and was like, ROLEPLAY IDEA. That and I've been wanting to do a roleplay that has a wide character acceptance range while being semi-scripted but totally free and open. I just have to decide what worlds I want people to explore and such. But it'll be fun coming up with places and making a main storyline for the members/staff to follow.Originally Posted by enkerzed

I don't foresee psychopaths getting in the game very often, let alone two from the same household. I would assume there would be some criteria for joining that would make sure killers and psychopaths weren't populating the game all over the place. Besides, I think there will be enough drama in game that we don't need out of game members being crazies. And remember, just because they are normal in real life doesn't mean they can't have their avatar be a psycho in the game.
I thought of Half Prince myself, actually. And that twin thing don't help changing my mind xD!
